I used to watch you for years to help me fall asleep at night and catch some adventure games I never got through. You are a treasure and I'm glad you keep coming back. I've been watching since the Myst: Riven days way back when and always love your play style cos you play similarly to me, inspecting every little detail lol. This one looks so interesting and I'm getting first-time Myst nostalgia all over again. The graphics alone are also very nice.
"Welcome back". Over the years, I've appreciated your explorations into Cyan's worlds (& feel compelled to mention TLJ/Dreamfall-related games). It helps that you include all details - an immersive experience (w/ all options, dialogues, and yes, the readings). I've purchased Cyan games since they released it for Windows 3.1 or 95 (ya, I'm old, lol) and have backed their other games. However, I relive the adventures through your videos (is very calming ... need to get back to doing that). When my mind is quiet -- these experiences (surprisingly) come to the fore. Thanks for continuing to produce them.

When the character showed up I was like: Is that supposed to be a real person? Or is the character some macabre puppet? Amazed at the quality of those character models...
To be fair, even modern surgeons still use leeches. They're a useful tool for plastic and reconstructive surgeons because they consume built-up blood and release an anticoagulant in their saliva, allowing fresh blood into recovering tissues that could turn necrotic without proper blood flow. Also, if these icy mountains are warm by the player's standards, I would guess that this "Theshold" we emerged from was some sort of cryogenic suspension.
Looking forward to seeing your thoughts and exploration of this game. I was disappointed with parts of it, mainly how the adjunct/socket system felt super limiting to the puzzle design but several locations made me wish I had the chance to see it in VR. I'm certain 'll see some things I missed along the way and I hope to see some other points of view on at least some of my less enjoyed aspects as we go through the realms, both from you and others in the comments.

I've been hoping you would do this. I too was a backer of this even thought I knew I would not be able to play it on my 2015 iMac. I bought the 2015 iMac just so I cold play Obduction. Watched other 'Let's plays' of Firmament. I'm sure I will like your through dissection of this game. Yes, Cyan does it best. Had Myst when it first came out. I'm now 73. Love your videos! I was mixed on Firmament as a whole, but I'm looking forward to hearing your insights on it. One little note early on: if you look up above the removed section of railing on the first staircase, you can see that the Mentor rigged up a sort of winch system to safely lower your sleeping pod. Fortunately she didn't just heave you over the edge. 😄
