The fact that Netflix keeps doing this means that I never actually watch any of their original content anymore because I don't see the point in getting invested in something that will just get cancelled at any moment.
Netflix and HBO Max/Warner Bros have really fallen off. Netflix is also attempting to prevent password sharing which is dumb and people will leave

I’m hoping for two outcomes:
1. Netflix realizes how successful Inside Job is and give it another chance
2. Inside Job gets picked up by Adult Swim and can continue
I hope the second one rains true, Netflix is a really flimsy company and the whole service is slowly dying. Once their cashcows end/the hype for said cashcows dies down, they will have nothing. They won't have much of service for anyone, because other platforms have way more and with less annoying restrictions (which we won't even get into).
Well, I consider the second best-case-possibility to be the most likely as Adult Swim did get the rights to make more seasons of Tuka and Bertie (before cancelling that one too).

Never make shows with Netflix, they'll just cancel it before you get to finish it. Netflix seems worse than regular TV networks.

Surely only using the numbers from the first few days isn't smart for a streaming service that relies on continuous viewing.
Imagine if Netflix cancelled them because one of the "conspiracy theories" brought to life in the show was actually true and they're afraid of getting into some sort of hot water if it were to continue. It's not something one would think about, especially since a lot of the stuff in the show many of us don't believe in ourselves, but I can't help but wonder "what if?"
I'm not one for a lot of adult swim type shows or even adult shows in general, but I would watch just for Inside Job. I'm invested in these characters and I want to see them happy. The creator claims they would've been happy if the show continued. Reagan just want through a huge heartbreak. I want her to be happy. I want to see what happens with her and the black robed guys. I want to see what happens with Brett and the others. After all Brett and Reagan deserve to be able to have a future happier than their past. They deserve to find people who make them happy and better people. I hope someone picks it back up.
For a show focused on conspiracy theories, it’s not a huge stretch that Netflix got a closer look at what the team was working on for season 2, regarding conspiracy, and whatever the show was tackling was too close to the actual truth that Netflix just pulled the plug on the whole thing.
@@TheNucaKola I'm definitely not ruling it out. In fact, I won't accept any other theory but this one. Something in that show has to be close to the real thing and we might spend the rest of our lives with that mystery never being solved. Are there black robed beings or other organizations controlling our government? Is Cthulhu real? Are there mind eraser rays? Is there a center of the Earth? Are celebrities vampires? We might never know.

It's because the streaming services are racing to see who can cut the most, and unfortunately animation is the one art form they still don't take seriously.
This is why so many shows are just so full of plot relevance în every episode these days, they don't have time to breathe because if they don't tell their story as fast as possible, they might never get the chance because the shows might be cancelled.
This mentality that animation is for kids will be the death of filler .
If I was Netflix, I would give it one last season to wrap up everything to give Reagan and Brad they happy ending

Seems to me that when times get hard, companies tend to drop shows. Ultimately, they’re going to offend someone, no matter what they cut. But I think they’re making the wrong decision in cutting the ones that they are cutting. HBO already ran into some trouble this past year over a similar problem. Ultimately, I think companies like these don’t value animation, and that’s bleeding through into the decisions they make as a company.

Compared to Inside Job, it doesn't even scratch the surface of a good show but no, the one that's actually gud is the one to be cancelled. Netflix just actually lost my respect for this

I found this out from one of my friends a few hours ago, I was pissed. I remember telling her all about how much I loved it and the season 2 ending so when she said she had bad news I was confused at first. First The Owl House is cut short now this. Sad.

Well, Netflix has been going through some problems as rival networks are making more and better shows. And I don't know if the company is under a new leadership but if that is the chase it would explain why the Networks interest in animation is deteriorating.
Right now, Netflix seems to have more interest to invest in the production of documentaries, limited series and movies - which are very good to be honest, though it does not excuse their poor treatment of animated shows (and I fear the Cuphead Show might be next on the chopping block). And the persons in charge are clearly thinking that the ending of season one is enough to justify the cancellation.
Of course I don't want to think of this to be the last we'll see from Inside Job, so the best-chase-scenario is indeed that another network like Adult Swim will take the rights to continue this very good show like it did with Tuka and Bertie.
I would not be the first time a show was brought back from cancellation (animated or life action) and it hopefully won't be the last.
But I fear we might have to wait a few years for this best-case scenario to become reality.
And I am grateful nonetheless that I am not the only one who still hopes that this show might come back.

Sadly, I think Netflix is just dropping animation as a whole, I honestly can’t think of a cartoon on Netflix from the 2020s that’s made it past 1 or 2 seasons. They’ve canceled everything now. I think The Cuphead Show and Oddballs are next :(

Why are all of these networks shutting down their most popular shows? first, we got Owl House canceled by Disney bec one person on the board didn't think it was on brand even though it was one of the top 3 most popular shows on their platform at the time. Now we get Inside Job Canceled by Netflix. we need more love for animated series.

I am so genuinely upset by this. Inside Job is really important to me I watched the first part over and over again and stayed awake for hours to watch the second part. Inside Job helped me with tons of art motivation and I even made a few characters for it. The characters all made me so happy. I really hope some other platform can give the show a proper ending but until then I will just keep rewatching what we already have.
This sucks, especially since I heard season 2 was in development. Like it was confirmed. So they just said “eh on second thought, no”

Frankly this makes me concerned for sonic prime just reversing their decision like that out of the blue for seemingly no reason. Though it’s probably not likely especially since sega is a major influence so just throwing out sonic like that wouldn’t be a good look I mean look how many people got upset about sonic being turned bland and uninspired in smashbros ultimate
Honestly, I didn't really see how this show had any potential at all. The official trailers seemed entirely overproduced and the story lines for each and every episode seems obnoxiously convoluted.

They put Reagan in a relationship WAY to soon. I like the show, but that particular aspect of the show was unnecessary at this time.
