Doctor, how do I determine the extent of periodontitis according to the chart? Do I count the SITES with CAL or do I count the teeth with CAL as an entity?
Thank you Dr. Sanz. How would one classify a case of interdental CAL in more than 2 non adjacent teeth but it is historical, no probing depths more than 3mm in any sites, and the patient has more than 10% bleeding sites? Is it going to be a case of gingivitis with stable periodontitis?
Dear Kunal Gupta, thanks for your question. This patient would be classified according to the 2018 workshop as a periodontal patient with gingival inflammation.
