I am a property preservation vendor and we have one of these safe in the house of A Foreclosed Vacant Property that I am Currently Servicing...and the real estate agent is wanting it open...the guy that lived here is dead. He passed away and we do not have the combination to open it. Is there any specific way to get in it or get a reset to be able to get into this safe and show the bank or the client of Any liability when the house Sells?

I contacted Cannon with the issue. I paid a Locksmith to come out and get the safe open. I explained to the Cannon reps that This is an old safe and it's not set up for an electrical keypad type lock set up and send me the old type Dial Combination. They stated that they don't have them anymore and the Keypad is the new replacement. The first keypad they sent was missing 1 of the mounting screws and had too many of the other. I took photos of my safe and the Lock they sent with the missing fasteners. They stated they will send another that WILL fit my type of safe on 10/12/22. After about 6 days waiting for the new replacement lock, I looked up the tracking number and found that is hadn't moved from their warehouse. I had to call them to get the lock moving and shipped. So I get the second lock set that is supposed to fit my safe, its the same exact keypad they sent prior but with 1 major difference. It's bent and has a screw broke off on the backside of the lock. So much for Quality Assurance. I again call them and stated that this Keypad will not work on my safe! They then stated that this keypad IS the replacement and I would have to have a locksmith install it as they do NOT have an "Adapter Plate" available to mount the new keypad on my old safe. I'm on my own! I had an adapter plate fabricated and got the keypad mounted. Now, the lock its self will NOT program and will NOT function! 2 hours attempting to get this new Keypad and lock to operate, following their video instructions, and its a no go! This is Cannon Safe today!! Back to the drawing board! Buyer beware!!!
After changing battery, door stays in locked position. When i put in the combo, i get the double beep( meaning combo is correct) but it still stays locked. If i change combo, it does the same thing.
Contact cannon (alpha guardian inc) send them a email. I had the same exact problem. Tell them your problem, they sent me a new lock and keypad and it fixed it. I just sat there for 30 mins entering the code and jiggling the handle and it finally unlocked. You need it unlocked to replace the items

I called them and they advised a locksmith had to be called (they provided one in my area) who will need to drill into the safe to release the lock and needs Cannon direction standing by to do this. Sending me a new keypad can't be installed unless the door is open......so the locksmith needs to be involved. This is not what I signed up for with Cannon.
Well they stood up to warranty with me. Though email I had a diagnosis and all necessary parts to fix my lock (5-minute fix) and mailed to my door in 2 weeks at no charge to me there's not many companies that honor their warranty if they even have one at all. Big thanks to Eden Rodriguez @ cannon warranty department.
Did you figure this out ? This ppls customer service sucks! I am trying to re-program, they said if you get a long beep to start the process again but its not letting me start the proccess again.
@@aalfonso4706 did you have the red button inside the door jam to put a new code in? Btw they have two books one is with the * key and u must hit red button inside, put in code then code again then hit# .
I mean the numbers are labeled as letters as well, so you can choose a word and punch the corresponding letters. For example, the letter A is the number 1 on the pad, BCD is the number 2, etc.

Do not get a cannon safe. I bought a gun safe for my son for Christmas. It lasted 3 years and then the inner mechanism malfunctioned. We had it looked at and the locksmith said it needed to have the inside part switched out. The cost to do that was $400 to $500. The safe itself cost $500. Since the safe was the same cost of the locksmith and when he finished I would need to repair the holes he was going to make we decided just to break in ourselves and call it even. So the only way we could get our guns out was cut a hole in the top of the safe since it was mounted to the wall and floor. When we talked with a cannon rep the best they would do was send a replacement mechanism but since it only has a one year warranty I had to cover the rest of the cost. The rep admitted this is common.
@@rentacop88 You should read your "Lifetime Warranty". It says right in there the following: "Electronic and mechanical locks carry a one-year Warranty for labor and a lifetime Warranty for parts".

DO NOT BUY THIS SAFE. I bought one over the weekend brand new and the lock failed. Cannon refused to replace the lock with a mechanical lock. Not that it couldn't be done but because it would void the warranty. Basically told me if I don't like the safe take it back to the store and purchase one of their other safes. If you won't help me with the one I bought why would I buy another Cannon product?
I had my safe for about 5 years and someone tempered with the door, I contacted Cannon, send them pictures and video, they replaced it with a new model without hesitation, customer service, is the best.
Absolutely the worst warranty and the biggest group of liers when it comes to customer service and warranty work. Lorena refused to let me talk to a supervisor and refused to send my call to the warranty department. My safety has had issues from day one. And it's been over 2 years and still no warranty. I will be contacting all local distributors so that hopefully with enough complaints they will stop ordering and carrying their products
Canon safes are horrible because the electronic actuator inside goes out!! And when it does which it will!! It doesn't matter if you put the correct code in 80 times even with new batteries even dated to 2030 🤷🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️ You have to pay for a locksmith to come drill a big ass hole in your safe which makes it no good in order to get your valuable guns out of it!!
It’s 2022 🥴😅 any touch tone keypad 🔢 password easily hacked with software that decode the tone of the button u push lol every button has a different sound .. easily cracked if I can record audio of u unlocking it

They lost my business, if I provide pics of my safe open and shut, why would they continue to keep my family at risk by not giving me my master code

How often do I need to change batteries?
Every 6 months is the recommendation. Use only Alkaline/Energizer or Duracel.
