Please have the wife take the quiz. She might make the G Shock bot cry.
🤣
Yeeeeeeess!
😂😂😂
Great idea. What’d you say Mrs MWC??
Great idea!
The quiz is just a way for Casio to get your email address and name.
We know.
They already had it so.......?
They already have mine 😂
He's got hundreds of them... they already know him!
They’re welcome to it.
Casio are a brilliant company.
Just bought my first G-Shock last week. And decided to go straight for the top and got a full metal square……… it instantly became mine, go to every day watch. And my desire to collect more kind of went away. This scratches all the itches.
I have to agree with the 5600 (battery), 5610 (EL back light) and the 5610U (LED backlight). These are brilliant. Ever so slightly less brilliant for more rugged activities have to be the 5000's full metal with the only downside being that you'll scratch them and those scratches will show. The GDB -200 also has the best display of any LCD that I've seen.
My 'silly' GShock collection
MRG-B5000B-1DR (Square Retro) worn at Concerts, Festivals, Holidays
MRG-B2000B-1A1DR (Black) worn during Winter months Casual with Bodywarmers
MTG-B3000FR (Solar Flare) worn during Winter
GWG-2000-1A1ER (Mudmaster) Gardening & DIY
GWG-2000-1AE3ER (Mudmaster) Exploring
GA-B2100-1AER (Cheap) worn during car repairs, DIY or High Risk tasks
😊
THE MAD WATCH COLLECTOR, You're the best! I just had to subscribe!
Thank you my friend!!
Just took the quiz, once you described it, before watching the test of your vid . Their website nailed it, I'm a Casioak lover and it told me I'm a 2100 typa bloke. Brilliant!
Easy answer When it comes to G-shocks, GMW5610u & GW6900 are my style.
I want a 5610 sized mip display square with solar and radio control (or maybe Bluetooth.)
I’m pretty sure that’s what 75% of g shock buyers want.
I’m pretty sure that’s what Casio know we want too.
My solar garmin provides the gps, smart watch and health gubbins, so I just want a solar square with a modern display
I would go as far as 95% 😂 the gdb200 is lovely just not as comfortable for me
Love a DW5600 - they're hard to beat!
I have one G-Shock. I work in an office, so it wouldn't fit in well there--I prefer my Invicta Pro Diver or Citizen Promaster for that environment. In any case I like my watches on the smaller side, so I wouldn't mind having an OG Square for weekending.
Now the watch that IMO best fits my geeky personality is not a G-Shock, but a CA-53W McFly. Ah, but what do I most like to see when I look at my wrist? Either my 80's style Timex Ironman or my DBC-611. As we speak there is a much fancier and older gold-tone DBC-610 on it's way to my collection. This has been my grail watch since middle school, when they were about $40. Now the cheapest ones on Ebay are in the low 90s, but I would have to do some homework to see if that's an equivalent value in today's money🙂
Gst b600. The smallest and slimmest G-Shock ever produced. Can wear with a suit as it easily slips under the cuff. Just got mine last week and so far I'm loving it.
Stainless steel solar square from 2018 on wrist till the death. The original. Changed the landscape of Casio.
I have the Gbd200 great watch that just does not get the wrist time that it should. Great show MWC👍
Loved your cheap Casio review, it came at a time when I needed a watch for swimming. Thanks to you I bought Casio AE-1500WH-5AVCF, ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐man
Nice one, mate. Managed to keep it to one G. So far.
I would look upon a dedicated racing G-Shock with very keen eyes.
I know there's various colabs etc. But nothing of the likes of the Genta (Aliens; Ripley, Bishop) line from Seiko.
I want one for when I finally go to Le Mans and don't want to look silly in between all the Daytona's and Monaco's!
You are the Casio King!
🎉I love when you drop a banger!!
My favour G that I own is the GAW-100b. It’s massive and 132 of them were issued to the British Naval divers in 2000. Mine is an original from then and is still on the same battery. It’s been down quite far in the sea so I know the water rating is true. Bomb of a watch.
My second is the GW 6900 which I bought at the start of this year. Nice watch.
I have 2 other G’s, too.
All the best👍🏾🇬🇧😉
GA-B2100 All the way... Mad Watch Collector ⌚️ 😊
They're good looking and solar powered, love it!
My job entails all that dust and vibration and the inclement weather of the UK. So my 5610u is a right bruiser for the job.
G-SHOCK Newbie checking in. I only started collecting them this year and own only two at the moment: the GW-M5610U & the GW-M5000U-1ER. Luv 'em both.
I love my GW-M5610U!
Solar was a must - violet GMW-B5000-PB6, burgundy GMW-B5000-RD4, GW-B5000UE-1JF and a G-5600UE-1 and I'm fascinated by UTC atomic time. My watch collecting is tempered by my Hewlett Packard RPN calculator collecting and fountain pens.
Casio has already lost many, who grew up with them and spent money for them!
The ONLY Casio that seems to be fit for my needs nowadays, is the W96H, with its (slightly) enlarged display and smooth case, and NOT ONE G-Shock I like! (G-Shock either compact with tiny display, or larger display in huge case with spikey protrusions - WHY?)
Why have I not bought a W96H, despite running only about USD 22? Just 50 meter water resistance (OK, so 50m may do now just sitting at home, disabled, etc), and an uncomfy, Casio-proprietary plastic strap I know will break and cannot be improved with anything else, because it is ... proprietary!
At age 60, my eyes have not been able to read the now too small digi displays I used to love many years ago, so the W96 may do it ... or not?
Why no others? The larger display Casio and G-Shock models feel like a bleed'n procupine on my wrist, big, nasty, with even bigger, totally unnecessary, spikey protrusions, that dig into my wrist and the back of my hand, when I try them on, meaning UNCOMFORTABLE as hell!!! And the analog displays are mostly not very clear, or also get packed in porcupine cases. WHY?
Have I bought any watches in the last 6 months?
Yes, several, and one Casio, which now only sits in the windows as an atomic reference, and that's it! It is a 50 meter proof WaveCeptor M630, but I regret getting the JDM white face, because the black outline on the white hands is too thin against the white face, and in our Pacific NorthWest greyish/greenish dull daylight, it is surprisingly hard to read, so that was a waste of USD 80!!!
The others I LOVE, 2 40mm Invicta Pro Diver autos, a "Bond sized" 37mm Pro Diver quartz (YES, manly Connery wore his own Rolex sub-marinated in, as silly USA boys say, 1960s "girl size"), and 2 Tandorio military homages, a 39mm round field/pilot and 36mm tonneau Hamilton/CWC W10 homage, all 200 meter resistant, so safe for showering and bathtub model-submarine warfare exercises! Oh yeah, also that 100 meter proof Pagani PD 1676 "Newman's Own", that included the salad dressing and pizza for under 50 bucks.
Why do I want water resistant watches? Years ago I lost a few, when I took them off in WC rooms for washing hands, or at the swimming pool, and I turned around from the towel machine, and my watch was .... WHERE IS IT?
So, yeah, as a kid and young guy, I loved them, now I cannot use them, or they bite me in the larger display sizes!
Another great one. You and Jeff McMahon both with G Shock news of the world. Simply irresistible. Too many variations for us from the 'kiss' school, so your analysis treats for an old dog.
Taking one for the Team today 😂 thank you!
First of all thank you Mad Watch Collector for another awesome video! Second, 5610u is my everyday and everything watch. Even though I’ve got a good sized collection of other watches, 5610u is my go to watch.
My olive Casioak is one of my top 5 most worn watches overall in a collection of maybe 10 Casios and more than 20 other watches. It's pretty much never "in the box," it's always out and ready to go.
GBD200 for me. I’m a small business owner, joiner. My watch takes a beating and the GBD200 is perfect.
According to the quiz, the Casioak is my perfect G-shock too-I have two!! The regular battery-powered one and the solar/bluetooth model..of course, I also have a ton of other G’s..right now, I’m wearing my GWM-5610U..in honor of my ancestry, (most of it, anyway) I set the watch to show the days of the week in Italian….
Just out of curiosity did it all with smart/ stylish options to pair with a suit (all of the film choices were dumb so I chose sports) and I got a G-Steel GST-B500D-1A. That's not a bad pick really.
I got "mudman" which is EXACTLY the one I've been eyeing... might just have to add that big boy to my collection
Love my solar G shock square negative display.
It's the squares for me. They are the absolute best for looks and have that retro vibe. Tried a Casioak but barely wore it and sold it a few months later on ebay for a £60 loss 😢
Great video, you should be the brand ambassador for Casio G-Shock here in the UK.
Did the quiz and it suggested the Mudman, which I have had my eye one, and also recommended the Rangeman I already have so seemed to work pretty well for me.
I just found your channel recently and I love it ! Very entertaining and informative I’m a firefighter in massachusetts USA and needed a watch that will last G-shocks seems to be exactly what I’ve been looking for thanks for your videos P.S I now have a GD350-1 on order can’t wait 🇺🇸👍
You are a gent! Welcome aboard!!!! Congrats on the incoming GShock my friend!
The one you recommended is the one I'm wearing right now!
Have not worn my Casio Oak in a couple years. 5600 all the way.
i took this quiz and casio recommended GW 9500 mudman, don't have the GW 9500, but i own G 9000 and i love it
I also got the gm2100 silver it's a great watch. It's my first gshock so I always polish it because I don't like scratches
I have a GM-B 2100, all black, I just love it!
Russell GShocks are amazing but two vintage ones l own have suffered from bezels crumbling and unfortunately replacement bezels are non existing.
The plastic used degrades with time so a lot of collectors might have some in thier collection crumble !!
I have the GW-M5610U, but I'd also like a Casioak. I used to have GA-2100-1A, which had great analogue legibility, but bad digital legibility and it was a hair too big. So I'd like something a tad smaller, positive display, in nice colour, but still legible. I'm considering a GMA-S2100-4A2 and GMA-S2100BS-3A. Are these good options? Are there better ones?
This is a great primer for someone looking to get into G Shocks MWC! I’ve got a 5610 and a 2100 and I’d love to add more but they just don’t seem to get the wrist time they deserve in my collection. Which probably says something about my lifestyle more than the watches 🤣
The Casio 1500h is a good budget watch for every day stuff and more.
I want a mudmaster for the style, I dont need 20 functions. I need time and large date thats easy to see without glasses, Analogue style is preferred over digital. The only 2 functions I've ever used on a watch are stopwatch. and alarm. Ps edit must have correct date format: day/month/year.
I have three gshocks. All of which are the 5600 flavor. For me that's the perfect G-Shock. I need good timekeeping and a stopwatch is always very helpful. The 5610U is especially nice if you're a traveler because of how quickly you can flip between time zones.
We're on the same page Russell. I have 3 g shocks - 5610u, 2100 and gbd200 in blue
I think the frogman collection are the best. especially the new mr g anniversary model with the yellow strap.
Coming from your live on IG,
Morning Russell, I noticed the Frogman crept in there. I have often thought I should have a Frogman for similar reasons as mentioned however I do worry it could make all my other divers redundant as G's are the best at most things. Anyway I wondered if the Frogman needs it's own dedicated MWC video?
Walking by a local watch store I noticed a G-Shock from around 2005 on display. Very unique style and somewhat to my liking. I never knew G-Shocks like those created in the early 2000s existed. The app's quiz will never point one to those I suppose.
Im really interested in the 9300 mudman not many videos on that bad boy.
I didn’t have to take the quiz. I just watched your GM5600 video about ten times and got that one (and I love it) Ha! Probably the same reason I’m going to get the A1100 also…
Yes my friend!!!!!
I use the Rangeman to time my defibrillations and drug administrations. Big easy buttons to push, and relatively easy to clean.
Mine are 5600UE, GD400, GBA800, GBD800, G7700, GA-B2100, AW500 and AW590 !
I’ll probably get another AW500 and a Protrek in future
On point about the contradiction of having a gshock collection when most can last a life time, if not a few generations
What does it recommend if you want a one touch chronograph?
Ideally one you don't need to flick through a Watch Geek video everytime you need to change a key setting.
I hope you also get to review the new G-Shock GD-B500. It looks really cool.
Aaaaaand............ looking forward to the Pro Trek Quiz Russ............... Just luuuurve my PRW-61...................
MWC, Have you looked into the GWX5600? I recently got one and it's a fantastic module! Basically a 5610u with EL and tide graph! I did have to change the bezel and strap as the gloss didn't do it for me
Great video! Did the wife take the quiz? 🤔
You should check the Casio Edifice efr s108D blue!!!
If the best square is a 5600/5610 what is the best analog g shock watch - its twin as it were?
I did mine came up with mudman and I already have one
While I don't find most features on the App useful to me, I still have it set up, as the watches are designed to synchronize with the clock on your phone a few times throughout the day. For people like myself here in Canada who have no access to an atomic time signal, it's the next best option if you're a stickler for accurate time.
What is the Model of the Carbon Watch you showed?
Got a link to the quiz?
How do you feel about the MRG line?
Have you seen the air fix watches, that are coming out soon.
Never mind more CASIOs - I just bought a new JDM Seiko Alpinist GMT in Green (SBEJ005)! 👍
Yeah but the trouble is once you buy one... you have to get another one in a different style, Mad Watch man is right you can not just have one GShock 😂 Now I have a watch addiction that I didn't want and now I have 3... so far 😉
I really enjoy your channel… that’s all
Expert level advice here!
Hi Russ, liked the watch you wearing in this video Please advise the Brand & it's Model No. Thanks & hope to hear from you
I took the quiz and chose digital preference and every time it recommended an analogue watch...
I love all the big boys 😂😂😂😂😂
How can we participate in quiz??
The only G-Shock that is literally illegible, is the GA-110 series. I really wanted to like it, especially the League Of Legends-Jinx-one. But hell, these hands are really camouflaged and nearly invisible IN FRONT of all these fuzzy stuff.
Where is this quiz? A link would be nice.
G-shock?? Yes,please!! 😅
Your editing is quality, do you do it yourself?
I do my friend! It’s all part of the fun!
@@THEMADWATCHCOLLECTOR you have dialed it. Good fun to watch
I got GA-2100. Funny because I already own a GMB2100D-1A 😂 Even funnier, the one I wear most for my workouts is my DW5750 😅
Love my 5610u !❤
Can you do a review on this one for ‘Merica Bass Fisherman ? WS1200H-1AV
Isn't the GBD200 the watch that you pulled the bezel off when you showcased it on your channel? I'd been considering getting one up until that point.
No that’s the h5600 with a heart monitor!;)
@@THEMADWATCHCOLLECTOR Ahhhh, that was it! I must have missed the GBD200, some G-Shock collector I am!! 🤣 Thanks 👍
The 5610 is hard to beat. Rock climber by night, LOL. Think about rock climbing at night.😅
I bought the 5610u a couple of weeks ago. It’s a great watch and I’m happy with my decision. The problem is it’s rendered some other watches in my collection a bit pointless lol
Been wearing this watch for around 3 years now. Its completely ruined my collection lol.
When will you review the new G-Steels? Made for smaller wrists. GST-B600. 👍👍
Must try it!!Update. Just tried it here on the phone. When I hit submit, nothing happens !😮
DW5600,DW6900,DW9052 and the G100
I find out for myself the best G shock is the GW 5000 and the GW 5610 U 1 the best Choice for me at all. 😊
Anything about the GW- 5610 lineup is an overkill for me
Gbd200 is the best Casio and beater ever!!
Just a 'clever' way to push stock gathering dust.
I would recommend just peruse your back catalogue of videos you have made on exploring the different versions of the mighty G.
Solved.
Cheers Adam!!!!
What about Casio gst b600 Mwc?
Watching this video then I realize I am wearing my metal casioak.. 😂😂😂
So I have the GW-5000U-1JF awesome watch I want to find a extra resin band but want the exact one that came with the watch not the resin bands that come on the cheaper watches like the 5610 not as soft anyone know where someone could find a replacement 764 p2 16
I have a 1983 DW5000c, 2x 1984 DW5200s, both colours, a 1987 DW5600c in original box with manual, hasn't been worn since the 80s, still on its original strap and bezel, and another dw5600c, refurbished which I wear often.
My main G is a G Steel B400 fire package (black bezel, positive digital windows, resin strap) and I wear that the most as it fits literally any occasion
Hey fellas any casio recs that have vibrating alarm and compass as “dumb” as possible and affordable, I’ll use it mostly for the gym, and the compass is for trekking, is mostly to have a replacement in case I cannot fix my t touch solar expert
