thanks and Thanks for watching Vassmotorsports, hope ya check out some of my other videos, these bearings are sealed and hard to find one thats greasable anymore. although as I did in the video ,i lubed the outside lightly with Vasoline ,can use grease of course, and it definitely helps seat the bearing easier, good luck with your project

Question. If thebearing is a greaseable one why not pack it before install?

Very rare to get a greasable one as replacement, but also no way to inject it into bearing untill its fully seated in gimbal housing and inject thru zerk fitting on side of housing, also they come with enough grease when new and last many hours if allignment is straight and no water intrusion thru bellow or this case to much water got inside boat for 5 days from Hurricane Ian before I could rescue and drain her ,so last season i ran couple times on Lake but then trailered to Destin florida crab island and i heard it roaring and knew it was bad , thanks for watching Vassmotorsports and hope ya check out some of my other ,always something different

@Vassmotorsports couldn't you just pack it by hand before install is what I mean.

@@wipachogie10 no if it is greasable only has a small hole and already full of grease. The fitting is just for future services through out the years
