- Just another video of pulling out the old GB1 proton pack of mine I built back in 2012 with the infamous Production Shell. This is just me sharing some of the details and thoughts I have on it. I'm also announcing my next project. Thanks for watching and hope you enjoy my rambling! :-)

I’ve been a fan for a while, gbfans and here. As a fellow prop builder I was absolutely glued to this video. Thanks for such a thorough tour of your pack! It was awesome to see it all in action too, I love all the accurate light effects, the bar graph, the bellows! Omg the bellows! I’ve never seen a real one. I have a few of Mack’s which are beautiful, but definitely don’t have that “give”. Just amazing work and I’m excited for your new trap build. While I’m here, your Robocop suit is the stuff of dreams. True artistry. Thanks again for sharing!

Thanks Mike! Yeah I've built a couple from scratch and the weight definitely makes a difference with the realism but also makes you wake up sore the next day! Thanks for watching man.

Hey Adam thank you for the generous comment, I appreciate it very much. As for shells I don't plan any at the moment but I'm planning another potential scratchbuild for early next year and might do a small run from those. Keep an eye out and thank you for watching sir!

Nice! So, I have a very awesome pack that’s messed on the GB1 Venkman pack as well that I bought from a guy a few months ago. I’m doing some Afterlife mods to it but I’m not making it a Phoebe pack, just an upgraded Venkman pack.
The guy I bought it from said he had it since like 2007. My cyclotron cover and bumper can be removed separately. The actual shell is it 3 pieces of removed in sections. I can’t find any info on the maker of this shell though 🤔 would you be familiar? There is a metal badge on the lower side near the thrower cable on the pack that says “Boston Gear” but looking that company up, seems they aren’t in the prop business.. lol they are a real gear company so 🤷♂️
20:19 it is actually clinically insane the level off depth these nuthead builders will go into for the sake of accuracy. i love ghostbusters but never in a million years would i have known the damn alice frame had a plug or a port at the bottom of it from the 244p blurry 0.009 seconds of a single frame it would have been visible

That is true. I built this pack close to 10 years ago, a few things have been discovered since then that I haven't changed yet.
@@ChrisBoshProps its a shame they didn’t just make new packs for GB2, then we wouldn’t have to do so much “archaeology”

What's the story behind the upside down Danger sticker on the wand?
The Venkman screen used hero proton pack has an upside down Danger label on the thrower. Whether it was done intentional on the Spirit pack I'm not sure but even if it was a mistake its technically accurate to that particular movie proton pack.
I always thought the v hooks in gb1 was straight so the wand sat straight up in gb2 they angled the v hook for easy grab
The GB1 hooks still had a slight angle. The GB2 angle was much more extreme.
@@ChrisBoshProps always tholem little bits yiu dont see iv ordered a pack should be here in jan i hope fingers crossed i made mine with gb1 and gb2 so the pack has both films

No I usually don't. I have sold My pack shells in the past and a few others things I've made.
