- At least three people have been killed by storm Ophelia in Ireland. It also left hundreds of thousands of houses and businesses without power.

Jarod Moodley Absolutely everything was closed, some areas had places opened before the storm hit, but living in the southern part of ireland the storm hit here first so everything was closed to begin with, but today is such a nice day, very rare for October in ireland haha.
Jarod Moodley haha in Cork southern Ireland I live right on the coastline in a small little fishing village called crosshaven we got battered by it didn't have water or power for 12 days but during the worst of the storm the pubs were opened hahaha good ole Irish nothing stops us from getting ddunk

Carole Davis Storms are incredibly common in ireland, we go through the alphabet quickly especially in the winter months haha, this was just a little strong than usual.

Carol Vangundy you're welcome, these storms are so common here, it's not an Irish winter without an angry storm, this one was more heavy in wind than rain, the last storms have been heavy in rain but equal in wind so sometimes the damage can be worse from the excess rain. The day before the storm the weather was so nice, and today after the storm the weather has been amazing, we have to endure the worst storm in 50 years to get a good pleasant day in October haha 😂
