@@syn-theo6749 This was actually aired in 2002, meaning it was filmed in 2001 (i.e. Gordon Ramsay's restaurant on Royal Hospital Road 'Restaurant Gordon Ramsay' had just got its 3rd Michelin Star). This is why the Stig's racing overalls are black instead of white, as it was Season 1 (so not even James May was a presenter yet - the first line up was Jeremy, Richard, and a guy called Jason Dawe). This means that the footage is 19 years old going on 20, and it aired 18 years ago.

In the 60s Ford released a cook book on cooking on your engine as you drive. It was a free offer if you bought a new Mustang in 1966 during the promotional period. Another automotive cookbook we actually used. It was written for people who live in hot areas. One idea was to lay a frozen pizza in the rear window of your car when you arrive at work in areas like Arizona or Southern New Mexico, and when you come out after work the pizza is done. Our really was too.
In the window? That's just gross. Not hot enough to kill germs, but can breed the hell out of them.

I just looked it up, 165 degrees for 15 seconds within 2 hours of serving is recommended BUT 135 degrees in the microwave for longer is fine as well. If you put it on the dashboard instead of rear window with a dark interior, it could easily go over 150. Therefore, safe to eat!

A few years ago, my family and I were going on a massive camping trip that took about 2 days to get there, and we were all packed into this massive Yukon with a camper behind it, so you KNOW that engine bay is hot. So about halfway through, my Dad had the bright idea to put hot pockets on the engine, and eat them. After a few hours, everyone got one, and it was the best hot pocket I've ever had.
i tried the 3000rpm for 2 hours. the.best.steak.of.my.life.
I didn't realize I needed this. What gets me the most is that Ramsay isn't complaining that the food is raw or undercooked, he's saying that it's actually *overcooked*

I think most guys got love of cars watching this show. I remember watching with my brother every week it was at 9pm it used to be 1 hour episodes and they were so entertaining, all their gimicks and banter and over the top challenges really did warm everyones hearts. Especially them insulting each other and everyone else.
