Always found the part as Maul was dying “He will...avenge us” sad, as he realizes that Sidious was everybody’s true enemy all along.
True. All hail king Robert the demon of the trident
For me, the saddest part was that even at his last breath, revenge was his main concern.
Ventress, the Clones, Ahsoka and many more were also tools for the war, and when they realised it, they had their fair share of anger and revenge. But they managed to get over it.
After losing his very final battle against Kenobi (and after losing to Sidious, losing his cartel, and losing everything), Maul was still fuelled by rage.
Its funny how Sidious even betrayed the Sith philosophy itself.
The Sith wanted to rule the galaxy as an order with the strongest above all, while Sidious used the Sith as a way to give himself everything and killed, tricked and lied to everyone, even other Sith.
Sidious was the truest Sith in history and yet he made the Sith his enemy as well.

And this is why people love Star Wars. Not because of the loud flashes of battle or the epic wars in the stars...
But because of how quiet it is.
Because of how empty evil is even when it is applauded.
Because of how quiet good is when it has lost or won.
Because of a man who sought to save his life, the life he loved, and in doing so lost it.
Because of a child who sacrificed his own life, and in doing so saved everyone's.
Because of the grief of the loyal as they see their loyalty turned against them.
Because of the pointlessness of it all, yet that same pointlessness building toward the simple reunion of a father and his son.
Not because of the stars, or the wars, but because of the families that fight them.

AND Jedi: fallen order
What a legend
Frankly only some parts of it worked. Trouble was back then, there was no Clone Wars and therefore the clones and their thought process wasn't out of brainwashing.
@@xanderm6090 In some ways that was better, making the clones heavily indoctrinated that they would turn on a dime against the jedi, it left it open to have Clones refuse the order and have more surviving Jedi. Makes battlefront 2 more tragic, but I like the tragedy of the end of clone wars too.
Jamie Gray both have their pros and cons but I think the chip makes the most sense otherwise it would not have been effective. Especially with how so many Jedi befriended their soldiers
@@jamiegray6931 Clones pretty much loved most of their Jedi Commanders with some exceptions, in hindsight it makes no sense that they would betray them if they had free will with indoctrination
@@semillakan6 Infact some clones actually fell in love with their Jedi Commanders in legends. The indoctrination then was supposed to resemble indoctrination under Nazi Germany, if they didn't follow the order the other clones would shoot them too.

Tell me have you ever heard the tragedy of Anakin Skywalker, the brave and heroic, an amazing Jedi who just couldn't live within the code. He put all his hopes and dreams into his wife. Only to ironically let his fears and insecurities take her away.
Betraying all the unwavering faith she, his student and best friend, had in him.
Manipulated by the dark side he was mmmm
Ironic
All happens in accordance to the Force.
It is only defined as light, & dark, by such primitive minds, & their selfish arrogance for knowledge, & power.
Jedi, Sith, such beings can only bring imbalance, & suffering to all, by their mere existence.
Is it not poetic irony, our very real world is defined by such dogmatic, & political manuvers? All so a few, may maintain power over the many, who so desperate to define themselves within a group identity, called polite, civilized society, ever remain as willing slaves. Ever fearful, & envious, of the individual, with the strength, fortitude, & yes, freedom, to live upon the edge of the horizon of society's periphery.
That last part has nothing to with this. It's about right and wrong, not sociopolitical debate.
The Sith corrupt and gather power, and view freedom and liberty as a affront to their right to rule absolutely, because of their Force connection. That the only natural order is the one they shape beneath them.
The Jedi, while not infallible, believe that emotional maturity, discipline, insight, openess and above all self sacrifice. Are a responsibility, that all beings have a right to individual freedom.
That when evil rises to dominate and tear down these things, they must rise to protect them.
Dismissing when evil triumphs, that Sidious managed to poison a flawed but good man into betraying everything he believed in, condemned million to suffer years of tyranny, as something that "had to happen". Is just callous.

The amount of times order 66 was preventable is just god damn heartbreaking
THEY WERE SO CLOSE, SO MANY TIMES
it was a perfect plan...
It wasn't, the moment the Republic mass produced the clones instead of volunteers the Republic was already on borrowed time. Even if Jar Jar didn't approve of the Clones being activated, Palpatine would have created a much greater crisis that would have forced the hands of Senate.. Even if Fives was successful, Palpatine would have just given Order 66 much earlier and the result would have been the same.
If you read the history of how WWI started, the weeks and months preceding, it was nearly the same thing. Every single opportunity was missed, every single coincidence worked to undermine rather than solve, and in the end it unraveled fully.

as a kid that was born during the prequels this made me cry. the prequels regardless of what people think about jar jar or whatever, is my very first exposure to star wars. hadn't because of the prequels, star wars could've been just a classic hit in the 70's where only kids during that time can share and the rest of the generation won't be able to relate. as much as people hated prequels I think most of us can agree that without it, we probably won't get clone wars, star wars would fade to obscurity like tron and the other sci fi movies that came out before.
The Prequels are genius, George’s best work in my opinion. Star Wars (1-6) is George’s brainchild and Disney won’t be able to destroy that, no matter how hard they try.
The only issue with the prequels was either the writing or the dialogue... and jar jar ofc.
Definitely. Without the literary universe and prequel trilogy, Star Wars would not have kept it's relevancy for so many decades. The Simpsons used to be a cultural phenomenon too, now no one talks about it.
That scene where Vader says "where's Padme" and there's flashbacks to Ashoka, Padme and Kenobi with the music in the background.... Chills. Just fucking chills

He did fire first followed by the others and killed her..
But he really didnt have a choice ..i for one think his chip effected him differently than most .. the fact he almost couldn't handle mentally or phisically not being able to complete his mission or carry out his orders is a sign of this..there where other things but it is way too early as I type this ..my brain is mush ..lol

@@AssassinsFear yeah, I mean honestly the sequels just lack everything imo. Not even from a star wars perspective, but film making in general, writing, depth, meaning, character, individuality. Sure, the effects look well done, but honestly sometimes things that are done too well make it look like a replica as oppose to the real thing. If you ever see big companies replicate real star wars helmets, they look too crisp, too clean, and are always made of an expensive material that the originals had not. Whereas independent small businesses run by fans who also replicate the helmets/armour, make it exactly how it was, play it by the book, recieve better approval from the original costume designers than the big companies, and the final result looks impeccable and honest. I know, a weird comparison, but big soulless corporations tend not to care, sure they may deliver a good product, but only someone with the passion will deliver the best.

It breaks my heart to think that, after all they went through, after all they did, after Anakin defeats Vader and casts Palpatine down that shaft, that it didn’t matter. Because no matter what they did, how they did it, or what they could’ve done differently, “somehow… palpatine has returned.” And they gave their lives for nothing.
Palpatine returned…. When where… I didn’t see that
@@lowbudgetfilmakers we don't talk about that "return" considering Filoni and Favreau are shifting the franchise away from that trilogy entirely and forcibly making it non-canon rightfully so. as such we can pretty much say as far as anybody is actually concerned he never did return and was indeed killed by Anakin as a last attempt to save Luke.
Say what you want about the dialogue, the stories are devastatingly good.
I think it’s great people have come to appreciate the prequels and how amazing there story was. That is and should be the magic of Star Wars. George Lucas, is a god damn mastermind. Sure the prequels aren’t the best dialogue wise, but damn. Without them the clone wars wouldn’t exist. Ever since he left star wars its like star wars lost its touch. Hopefully Filoni gets his own trilogy soon. Hes the closest thing to becoming the next george lucas. Fantastic video!
Lucas is a medicere script writer... but an absolutely genius storyteller and worldbuilder with a nearly unparreled imagination. And more than anything what made Star Wars work under him is just this: sure he liked call backs and call forwards but he hated just doing the same thing over and over. the PT and OT are very intentionally radically different in tone and story but still feel like the same universe and from what we know his ST would have been radically different from both of them as well.
My guy Dave is doing a damn good job.
Yeah when it came to the small details he didn't know what he was doing, but when it came to the big ideas and scenes that were the culmination of those ideas it hits so hard. The execution of order 66 is one of my favorite movie scenes ever, and as time goes on and we see more characters affected by it and how it was the culmination of a master plan that went off flawlessly, it just gets even better. Watching jedi I wasnt attached to when i was a kid die after I've come to love them hurts so bad. Plo koon deserved far better than what side's gave the jedi.

But then, Dave failed Thrawn. He's not as good of a storyteller as George, I feel.

Its funny. When I first saw Episode 3, I hated the Clones as traitors who simply went and executed their comrades and Jedi generals without any hesitation and remorse. I thought that they had been in on the whole plan from the beginning. That they were just totally cool with wiping out their friends and comrades, and even slaughtering children and ushering in the tyranny of the Empire.
But after watching Clone Wars, I realized that the Clones were victims of Palpatine's manipulations themselves. That they never had a choice in the matter, and that many of them likely regretted their orders to turn on the Jedi and usher in the Empire. And now, far from hating them, I genuinely pity them.
I think u need to see season 7 of the clone wars and the season 6 arc of Fives Rex didn't even want to execute the order and was genuinely crying and tried to stop himself and almost succeeded even Bly cried because his Jedi general was his best friend but Then he realized he would honour her by giving her a quick death because he wasn't as independent in behaviour as Rex
