This scene now helps make sense when Vader said in rebels “The apprentice lives” he thought she was dead this whole time
ive always wondered just when the last scene takes place. because it could very well be he thought Ahsoka was gone, as he could've come here shortly after the rise of the empire. ive also heard a theory that he came here AFTER his battle with her in Rebels, because he thought she was gone, AGAIN. in either case, i find it extremely intriguing that Vader took her lightsaber with him. He always did have trouble letting go of those he loved...
@Marka Ragnos i Heard its after his battle on malachor with ahsoka
Plus in the comic version he had a vision before so that he would meet her again and I’m sure they wondered who survived due to the fact that all those bodies were buried so someone had to survive even if it was a clone who buried his brothers
I refuse to accept rebels as canon, Thrawn did not get beaten by a bunch of OP Space Whales.

You can tell just how much this scene meant to the fans when they're willing to put this much of their life into making it their own. It's just... a real human moment.
Great work.
It’s a moment the characters felt really really human like they existed they had regret they had sadness but also a little bit of joy that the war was over
Making characters feel human is probably the hardest think to do ever in cinema, especially when it’s a sad moment, I cried when I watched it and not very many things do that, I’m glad people like this exist
That was a simply outstanding interpretation of the scene. As an aside, I love the symbolism contained within Jesse's helmet. We see his helmet painted with the 'cog' symbol, as a grave marker signifying the death of the republic. Later when Vader visits the crash site, it is gone, or buried under the snow, thus the republic has been swept away. Subtle, but brilliant.
The clones didn't die for the republic. They died with it.
"Unreal" Engine is fitting, for how surreal the whole scene was. The gentle music, the lack of dialogue. Those last few episodes felt like they came from another reality... Like a dream...
