I'm from Philippines and I've known her since we Filipinos are fan of pageants especially Miss Universe. Ever since she competed at MU on 2019, I began to watched her previous pageants and her performance at Miss USA 2019. Since then, I began to follow her on IG. And then she became visible at the succeeding pageants such as Miss USA, Miss Teen USA, and Miss Universe as a host. Her personality is gleeful and yes, she has everything in this world. But then, it's not always what we see on the outside. I was stunned to know and my heart broke when I heard and saw this devastating news. It's been two days and my heart still can't accept the fact that she's gone. We are mourning here in the Philippines as well. Prayers for her soul and condolences to her family and loved ones.

I remember hearing her say that… it really gave me pause. It’s unfortunate that so many seek validation in society. Obviously there was much more than seeking validity happening. But it was definitely a sign or flag if you will.
This broke my heart yesterday when I first heard the news. I am in awe how gorgeous she is, intelligent & accomplished. What’s crazy is that I knew very little about her, then I saw the news and recognize her from one of the spider-man’s press interviews. I remembered because her interview was one of the best. Yup. I'm worried there will be copycats. I'm frustrated that Cheslie was unable to find the help she needed. Minority children are committing suicide at relatively high rates these days, and there is not enough help for all the young people who need it.
That's so true. There was a person on her Instagram today who said that they have been contemplating I n committing suicide and that now they feel that this was a sign for them to go through with it. We all tried to talk this person out of it. Some people provided the hotline numbers. They said thay they have been struggling with it for 20 years and that they try to call the hotline but it was like talking to a wall. Praying for their strength 🙏🏽
She was truly a light, I know we will never truly understand what pain was troubling her. But I hope we remember to be there for one another, the world is such a painful place to be in right now and we just need to be more kind and caring to one another.

She hid everything better than I could ever dream of doing, if I had been dealing with emotions as heavy as she. Cheslie was a very strong woman. Very determined and sure of her intentions. Actually, she didn't just give signs. She actually stated that she suffered from mental anguish. People often times believe success and beauty are the pentacles of happiness. Whether a person is laughing or crying, just ask how they are doing.
Many in society won’t accept or believe this but it’s a spiritual problem. The mind’s response is just a symptom. You will probably scoff at this but every time a wealthy, attractive, successful person kills themselves the warning sign is that this is bigger than psychology.

Cheslie was a succesful woman and had accomplished alot at age 30. It sounds to me that she was a bright woman, but she must has to put alot of works to accomplish and handle all those tasks. Mental Health is complicated, private and Very Personal. I feel everyone has some form of Personality Disorder, which is not as insulting as using Mental Health Disorder Labels that cause people to be secretive and defensive when dealing with their disorder. Some disorders are more severe than others, however as long as a person is responsible and independent there is no need to worry about the type of shortcomings he or she has.
I want to add that I have battled deep, dark depression off and on throughout my life. I, too, have had suicidal thoughts in the past. I sought help by being honest about what I was going through and it saved my life. Also, I called upon Jesus Christ to save me because He is the only way to God and the only One who can save me from my sins. I believed He died for me on the cross and rose again from the dead. Since then He has given me a reason to live, and a hope to hold on to. I just wanted to share this for whomever it can help.😊

The negative voices almost took over my body and I was about to be forced to walk towards upcoming traffic. The angelic voices helped me and got better after seeing a vision of Jesus. Has been better with Schizophrenia ever since and I almost died in 2020. Take this as a lesson don’t invalidate someone mental health. People worse battles come the inside and it rarely shows on the outside. But for some reason last year it stopped recording then I was up last week when I saw the show and recorded it I just loved that beautiful smile never knew her name. Last night I was on google when i saw the headline that former Miss USA died I said oh she looks like the young lady on EXTRA not knowing she was Miss USA. Today turned on the Tv watching the TALK and heard Natalie saying that she is the one on EXTRA and I literally broke down. I literally felt empty what a loss. I had not heard of Ms. Kryst until I saw the news of her death today. I was deeply saddened to hear that she apparently committed suicide. If that is so, she must have been experiencing a level of pain that made jumping from 29 stories seem less painful - or scary - than living another moment. I join everyone who mourns her death, but I mourn her apparent distress even more. I wish someone had been there to help her. Please everyone, take care, and reach out to someone if you are in pain.

I don't know her and I'm soo affected by this. I personally come from a super dysfunctional family and in my late 30's, I was finally able to settle down and a have family. I feel so accomplished after all I've been through. Seeing her story and seeing everything she's accomplished in so little time, I'm so confused with her decision to take her own life. It's just so sad...

Her essay said it all. Chasing empty dreams or someone’s dreams only bring emptiness (she became Ms. N. Carolina for her mom and a lawyer for her dad). She didn’t do anything for herself. Parents need to stop living off their kids and get a life.

Yup. I'm worried there will be copycats. I'm frustrated that Cheslie was unable to find the help she needed. Minority children are committing suicide at relatively high rates these days, and there is not enough help for all the young people who need it.
That's so true. There was a person on her Instagram today who said that they have been contemplating I n committing suicide and that now they feel that this was a sign for them to go through with it. We all tried to talk this person out of it. Some people provided the hotline numbers. They said thay they have been struggling with it for 20 years and that they try to call the hotline but it was like talking to a wall. Praying for their strength 🙏🏽

She hid everything better than I could ever dream of doing, if I had been dealing with emotions as heavy as she. Cheslie was a very strong woman. Very determined and sure of her intentions. She was very focused and walked in the power of self determination. I still respect her. I refuse to look or “feel some kind of way” towards her because of her decision to exit the planet like she did. I celebrate her life and the fact that she is now at peace. I hate depressed. I've dealt with major depression its so scary to go through that. I got help thankfully I was able to come out on the other side. Got the help that I needed. I'm in a better place now with my mental health. This is just so sad to hear.

This whole situation really breaks my heart. It's so painful. I remember watching her on Miss Universe 2019, proving how of an incredible woman she was. But I hope that finally people understand that mental health is NO joke. It's time to talk about this, try to stop it and normalize going to a psychologist when we need it. Try to find help when you need it and let's empathize more with people and don't judge them because we never know what's going on on someone's life.

It's just hard to understand how someone like this ends up in such a dark place. As a society we really need to figure out how to spot warning signs. Just seems like she didn't give any.
Actually, she didn't just give signs. She actually stated that she suffered from mental anguish. People often times believe success and beauty are the pentacles of happiness. Whether a person is laughing or crying, just ask how they are doing.
Many in society won’t accept or believe this but it’s a spiritual problem. The mind’s response is just a symptom. You will probably scoff at this but every time a wealthy, attractive, successful person kills themselves the warning sign is that this is bigger than psychology.

Cheslie was a succesful woman and had accomplished alot at age 30. It sounds to me that she was a bright woman, but she must has to put alot of works to accomplish and handle all those tasks. She must has to put alot of energy into it. Did she really have time to take rest at all? At this point I mean did she have times to give her heart a break. Anyway, it sounds to me that it looks like concealed depression because people with concealed depression are batteling demons within themselves all on their own. They are not sharing those struggles and do not want to burden those around them.

Mental Health is complicated, private and Very Personal. I feel everyone has some form of Personality Disorder, which is not as insulting as using Mental Health Disorder Labels that cause people to be secretive and defensive when dealing with their disorder. Some disorders are more severe than others, however as long as a person is responsible and independent there is no need to worry about the type of shortcomings he or she has.

I want to add that I have battled deep, dark depression off and on throughout my life. I, too, have had suicidal thoughts in the past. I sought help by being honest about what I was going through and it saved my life. Also, I called upon Jesus Christ to save me because He is the only way to God and the only One who can save me from my sins. I believed He died for me on the cross and rose again from the dead. Since then He has given me a reason to live, and a hope to hold on to. I just wanted to share this for whomever it can help.😊

I’m a high-functioning Schizophrenic and haven’t took my medication for more than a week once back in 2020. The negative voices almost took over my body and I was about to be forced to walk towards upcoming traffic. The angelic voices helped me and got better after seeing a vision of Jesus. Has been better with Schizophrenia ever since and I almost died in 2020. Take this as a lesson don’t invalidate someone mental health. People worse battles come the inside and it rarely shows on the outside. Honestly, I use to smile through my pain but now I let people know I am hurting or they hurt me. I don’t care if people call me sensitive because they aren’t educated.

I saw her for the first time on extra when the show was beginning where she is in blue at the beginning of the show and thought what a beauty, Then I started to PVR the show. But for some reason last year it stopped recording then I was up last week when I saw the show and recorded it I just loved that beautiful smile never knew her name. Last night I was on google when i saw the headline that former Miss USA died I said oh she looks like the young lady on EXTRA not knowing she was Miss USA. Today turned on the Tv watching the TALK and heard Natalie saying that she is the one on EXTRA and I literally broke down. I literally felt empty what a loss.
