For $1000 that helmet had better be fully functional as armor, along with having a HUD connected to Bluetooth and eye-tracking button selection.
Yeah, I noticed that the EFX doesn't have any interior detailing at all. So it's apparently just a fibreglass shell that can only be displayed but never actually worn. If I buy a helmet I want to put it on my head. Just like if I bought a lightsaber hilt I want to put electronics in it and swing it around (I have a Qui-Gon Jinn replica saber and a custom one for my own Jedi character "Danakar Endeel")
So forking over $1000 for a nonfunctional prop with fake 'lineage' prop versus a $100 one; I'm going for the $100 one as the EFX just feels incredibly overpriced and only banking on it being a recast from a screen-used helmet. Now if they were actually made from the original mould I'd agree that there's lineage but this one was apparently a mould from a screen-used helmet.
But that's just my opinion. 😉
@@DanakarEndeel there’s a huge difference between a prop and a toy lol. Hasbro are toys not really for collecting. The props are screen accurate as well as material being used for them. Closest thing that it gets to actually owning the screen used ones.

I'd rather spend my money on 10 Black Series helmets of $100 each so I have a nice collection to look at while you have your $1000 EFX *recast* with fake lineage. 😜
EFX makes collectibles that generally go up in value and are as accurate as you can get. The Hasbro is nice as a wearable toy for cosplay.

I've collected most of the black series helmets and this one and the boba Fett one are probably the two best ones Hasbro has released to date!

I have the Boba Fett one and have to agree with you, although the Stormtrooper is also a nice helmet.
@@danielwiklicky8145 The Storm trooper is great! I just love all the extra weathering details on Boba's and the Chrome finish on Mando's. Think it sets them apart a bit.

@@LegendaryGoetz Sadly no, but one can hope given how seemingly popular the Black Series helmets are (and for good reason). Everywhere I look in Europe they're mostly sold out.
Just got my mando helmet from Disney world few days ago! I love it! It looks amazing on display and fits really good too. Hasbro definitely do a good job on their black series helmets. Great video man! Love the channel and your collection is next level 🤙
I can understand a serious collector buying the EFX but otherwise why would you when the Black Series is so good and much, much cheaper.

I strongly prefer the Hasbro version. That bronze plate on the back of the EFX one throws me off like crazy and RARELY in the show does his helmet appear that dark.
Black series is cheaper and to me looks nicer, you can weather it yourself if your into that.

I've seen a few collectors review the Black Series helmet and it is so nice. I passed because I have the Anovos helmet but still like that Black Series version.

Just got mine in the mail yesterday. It definitely is worth every penny.
I have to give credit where credit is due. Hasbro really hit it out of the park with their helmet. If the EFX is the Ferrari or Lamborghini of collectables then the Hasbro Black Series Mandalorian helmet is definitely the C8 Corvette Z06 of collectables because it punches way above its price point. I have both the Mando and Boba Fett black series helmets and both are just awesome for their price. Did a very light coffee weathering on both to give them some dirt in the seams and break the "fresh out of the factory" look of the mando helmet and honestly, I really think they look about as good as any replica I've ever seen, plus they have an actual cool interior... Definitively the best bang for your buck. Plus coffee weathering is reversible if ever have to sell them.
Fantastic video ! I own the black series helmet and I absolutely love it, I know it’s not screen accurate... But without making comparisons to on screen , in its own right it’s a great product

Definitiv der Hasbro Helm! Fairerweise muss man sagen, dass der EFX Helm gebaut wurde, als es noch keine echte Konkurrenz gab - und dafür war er gut. Aber das Design des Hasbro Helms überzeugt auf ganzer Linie und sollte jemand noch die Wettereffekte nacharbeiten, dann übertrumpft er den EFX bei weitem. Den Part auf der Rückseite kann ich nicht beurteilen; ich habe zwar die Serie gesehen, kann mich aber an dieses Detail nicht erinnern. Klasse Video - das wird einer Menge Leute einen Haufen Geld sparen ^^
I have the black series helmet and it is amazing it fits great has actual lights inside and padding and the tactical light works great idk if I would pay 1000 for a helmet that is near the same jus different paint job
I don’t know if you saw the helmets they had on Amazon. I got a mandalorian helmet for $90, and it’s made from 18 gauge steel. Same thickness as a kitchen sink. My most prized collection

You should get the helmet with the most protection from laser guns, unless you are fighting the Empire and then it doesn't really matter.

There are 2 difference's between helmets. The EFX is from Pre new armour. An the Hasbro is from when he gets all the Beskar an all new armour witch the Hasbro is ment to represent, that's why it has no weathering like the EFX.

I’m so surprised that for literally $1,000 EFX did so little to a helmet. I get the draw to have a “screen used helmet casted replica” but at that point it seems like a pissing contest. There is no comparison because the black series is just a better buy. I have 5 Hasbro black series lightsabers that are licensed and graced by Hasbro that look like garbage compared to 3rd party hilts. The other hilts do look more like they’re supposed to. But sometimes the better option/choice is the cheaper one. If you have it, by all means go for it, it just seems silly because visually and functionally, there’s no debate.

Oh and also, Adam Savage did a paint job on the Black series, It looks more close to your SFX after a "professional" painted one up.

You are correct, the EFX is a Prop Replica (an exact replica of one of the helmet Pedro Pascal wore) so it was never intended to have detail on the inside. The Black Series is a toy that is meant to look cool!
The only thing i dont like is that the black series helmet has a bigger visor
The best deal for serious prop collectors is probably the anovos helmet which is 600$. It's so incredibly similar to the efx helmet and 400$ cheaper

I returned my v1 EFX because the quality was NOT good... Bad QC. The grooves along the top got soft and almost were sanded away and weren't as crisp as they should have been. I understand they're doing a v2 PCR from EFX but this black series probably will be good enough for me honestly.
Only thing I don't like is you can talk in them like you can use the voice mic and speak in it
in the 80s, the black series would've cost about 10-15 dollars.. maybe 25 and would also come with a gun or gauntlets too..
