yeah those small differences don't make it worth 10x the price. Hasbro actually did really well here.

It’s definitely good enough as a toy but I just can’t get over that ugly visor shape
Let's not forget, there was no "screen used" helmets for the phase 2 until OWK. So what MR had, were simply computer generated schematics, which if actually used for actors, wouldn't have worked real well. There now are screen used full suits so I would be interested to see how the black series compares to that. The one thing that really throws me off on the accuracy of the BS is that visor. It's the wrong shape, and it also does not have the detailing found around the "eyes."
I've got a Black Series phase II helmet and prototype Mandalorian helmet, I had to take the harness out of both to make them fit, but I could see a more average sized head fitting in the phase 2 with the tighter skullcap and deeper cheek wells just fine. The Mandalorian helmet brushes against my eyebrows when I put it on, but the BS phase ii helmet slips right on and is actually a little too loose for me. The MR sort of version would probably sit better with those changes.
Black series ALL DAY LONG!. Forget about those digital files. Hasbro is knocking those things out of the park. It’s not a case of well for the money, they look amazing regardless of the price. Great comparison man. Your room looks amazing as always

I’m not super familiar, as I’m more of an OT fan, but I wonder how the black series differs from the first live action clone troopers in the OBK series and The Mandalorian? Overall, I do agree that the Black Series are just getting better and better for their price. Looking forward to your Black Series Scout Trooper comparison!

Informative video comparing the old master replicas clone trooper helmet and the new Hasbro helmet. I can't remember what year these came out but it was definitely over a decade and a half ago.
The visor part looks more like the clone wars version so in my opinion it is accurate not to the movies but the clone wars
So awesome! Congrats on getting the last one. Hasbro erratic shipping of these helmets is frustrating. You never know where they are going to show up first. For the money and look, I love it

The Hasbro may be based on the live action version of the helmet instead of the cgi helmet the Master Replicas was based on.

Kinda like the Hasbro better, my opinion, everyone has one. The groves side slots vs painted did it for me and my tv they are definitely bright white. But both great

Not to mention it’s great for cosplay. And it’s pretty easy to customize it for any legion you want. Although I do hope we get an official 501st Legion helmet in the future.
Have you done a comparison of the Denuo Novo to the Master Replicas?
Honestly I do like the side profile of the Hasbro version a ton more. Really happy I got the 332nd Ahsoka variant for just 139 bucks.
The Black Series helmet looks kind of like a prototype Stormtrooper helmet because of the bright white colour, it makes sense for it to look like that while its being transformed into the Stormtrooper helmet. The Master Replicas helmet is definitely the accurate helmet though, but both of them look nice!

I bought one at my local mall. The store is called (The Star Wars Store). They have all new and old collectible stuff. When I’m in the store, I’m in heaven lol. I’m glad Hasbro did these Clone Trooper helmets. They should had done these when Revenge Of The Sith was released. Nobody was making them at the time. Not even cheap costume company’s like Rubies. There were replica company’s a year later but were very expensive.

in my memory the helmets have always been whiter. but looking back i can see the cream color. still i like the hard white feels like its fresh off the factory on kamino

Thanks for a fascinating and informative video. One thing you didn't mention (I think) was how they fit if you put them on. Another review video I saw mentioned that if you put the Hasbro one on, it is clearly too big, out of proportion for body size, even for a six foot tall, fairly well-built guy. Now I know many (perhaps most) would only be displaying it, not cosplay (as would I), and it clearly looks great for that. But it would just irk me I think to know it was over-sized just to fit in a silly voice changer, amazing as it looks. I think the color would irk me too. What say you?
That’s a great point. I don’t think it’s oversized in relation to the rest of the armor but you definitely want to add some padding in there to make it more snug on your head. Especially to be able to see out of it properly. But I don’t believe it’s that much oversized compared to the screen accurate ones.

I have the Denuo Novo version of the Phase 2, which looks closer to the MR version. I am excited about Hasbro doing the Ahsoka version of the Phase 2, which I will definitely pick up!

@@riley8099 During the Hasbro Pulse Star Wars Fanstream that was 1-2 months ago, at the very end of the video, when they were talking pipeline, they mentioned it. It may have been the very last thing they talked about in the video so you can FF to the end to hear it.

The white color is not a mistake. IRL helmets are as white as the Dark Series is but once filmed, on screen they looks more yellowish.

Overall the helmet looks amazing and the quality is top notch.
However the voice changing does little to no effect like it advertised.

The circle on the back of the helmet- the Reese's cup- is actually correct on the Hasbro helmet. The smooth Master Replicas is not accurate.
Animated visor is the biggest issue. IMO.
Why do all the fiberglass helmets you have turn out to be a dirty yellow color?
Well no helmet, armor or droid that was painted white in the movies was ever just true white. But also you might have to adjust your computer screen if you’re seeing a dirty yellow color, because all of them are off white.
'Accurate' is a very loose word. No helmet was made for the prequels. Yes, the digital files are a great thing but as we saw with Rogue One, Andor or The Mando, the designs can be tweaked from movie to movie. Maybe the Hasbro one is accurate to some specific production or was adapted for comfort and packaging.
I meant accurate to the original 3D files from ROTS. The Hasbro is a kid’s toy, a very well made kid’s toy. The Master Replicas is a limited edition collectors item that was made around the time of ROTS.

I bought a cheap one off of Amazon that looks more like the accurate one in shape and colour than the hasbro one. I like the hasbro one but I don't love it. It's rather space balls in scale as well. Quite comical really. I bought it to learn from it but I won't be keeping it. I don't think hasbro tries to get things right so they can do slightly better each time. It's the toy version of planned obsolescence. Instead of getting it right the first time and selling the same artwork for 250 years they'd rather play that game instead.

Hasbro’s visor is completely off. Too squinted and not rounded enough. The mouth is also higher up on its face on the Hasbro one making the chin bigger and nose shorter.

The side profile at 7:18 says it all. Really wanted to love the hasbro helmet but it’s just too big - it’s almost silly to wear. Lots of other great replicas out there in the same price range.
Hopefully you didn't pay 1000 for that phase 2 helmet,that paint is poorly done and for that price the inside should be decked out with internal pieces, not just padded especially that sloppy of a job if it was a grand...not trying to be a hater or dick but it is one of several ive seen you show that were spendy and have had the same flaws and quality issues..I am also curious as to where if they got the specs from a game or online or from Lucas film because there was never a made helmet as they were all cg and being how temura has a big ass head I don't see that "master replica" fitting his head..idk maybe it's just me but that black series is better than the other one,even with the goofy over sized part on the back that has the speaker
