Maybe it's because I was trying to corral a rowdy 5-year old while I was watching this movie, but to me it kind of seemed like...I don't know the term for it, but maybe some sort of "secondary canon" to the rest of the MCU, like it wasn't on the same "level" as the Disney films. I dunno, just a vibe I got, but this movie definitely felt to me like Sony playing in Marvel's playground, as opposed to an organic MCU movie that is a legit part of phase 3. Does that make sense? I don't know if I'm making sense here.

My easter-egg moment (and I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere yet) occurred in the scene where Vulture first attacks Spiderman when Spiderman confronts the henchmen selling tech under the bridge. Spiderman drops into the lake (after Vulture takes him high into the sky) and the camera pans back up to Vulture who is centred in a full moon ala Batman, the first movie where Michael Keaton, as Batman, flies his Bat-plane above the clouds and gets centred in the full moon. Nice salute to Michael Keaton, I thought.
I spotted that my 2nd time watching as well good eye friend!
I was informed (like a lot of people) that Vulture would be Michelle's dad and the fact he had that drawing in the beginning in addition to the fact that Michelle is constantly seen drawing in the film, I had no reason to doubt it until that door opened. Fantastic misdirect.

That scene where Ned drops the lego death star must have been annoying since they would have to rebuild the death star if some one messed up.

I still love how no one in the production noticed that 8 years typo and left it in the movie.
At 3:38 it said “Captain America: Serpent Society” I’m guessing that was the original title before they wanted to break up the Avengers for Infinity War so they renamed it “Captain America: Civil War” and scrapped the Serpent Society idea
Actually, they revealed the Civil War subtitle at the same event. Serpent Society was only a cover name to sort of fool the audience for a little bit to save the big reveal towards the end. If they came out with the Civil War subtitle at first, it wouldn’t have been as cool as when they saved it for the end.
Also note that Inhumans were originally pitched as a theatrical film but wound up becoming that horrid (and mercifully short lived) TV series.

Oh wow - I had actually noticed the WWII photo in the principal's office and said to myself, "that's a nice bit of character they added for the essentially unimportant principal, I wonder why they did that." It's cool to know it was there to make an actual, specific connection!
I "think" the principal or guidance counselor are shield agents, sent to watch Parker. it may be only because Tony is "mentoring" him they do not take him in for "evaluation". I could see in Spiderman 3 that Shield/government wants him to come in to be "controlled" assuming they have not removed or replaced the accords by then.. Spiderman 3: Civil War 2 . One problem Peter has is his Aunt. I could see them using her by charging her as giving comfort to unregistered enhanced person
part of me died when he didn't take the suit but it leaves an open end for the next film to have more 'friendly neighbourhood spiderman' stuff, which i think is good. i'm excited to see this peter grow more as a character, not just as spiderman but as peter too. considering the fact we didnt see uncle ben dying or what peter was like before he got bitten by the spider like in the other films, there's still a bit we dont know about him as himself (like how he'd deal with that loss and what he was like when he was just a nerdy teenager and not a superhero). i think him staying on the ground was a good choice and will leave a lot of room for further character development, and not even just for him, but for ned and MJ too. it's nice to see peter just having fun and being a kid bc tom really does capture his youth so well tbh, and im excited to see him grow more as a character.

Just like the relationship between Harry Osborn and Peter in the first trilogy.
Since the Ned Goblin was eventually explained as the machinations of Kingsley the real Hobgoblin, I think what they would do IF they did hobgoblin, is to have Kingsley as the villain and one of his schemes is framing Ned for his acts, but Ned is eventually cleared instead of killed as in the comics.
