Spectacular Spider-Man and 90s Spider-Man animated series were my favorite shows growing up and nothing will surpass those shows in my opinion.
I would love to see Xavier cover the three animated Hulk shows, as a fun little tradition since he covered the 3 Hulk games after finishing his Spider-man video games retrospective. But it's just a dream.
We just need someone who has an extra $300...

If it's Avengers EMH, then that is my favorite version of Hulk outside of the comics, but that is an Avengers show, not a Hulk show. He was barely in season 2.

Each character got their own episodes.

The only issue I had with Spiderman 1994 was that all the characters in the show was, well ripped and muscular. Hell I bet Aunt May is probably ripped. 😂

My theory for why future Venom and Carnage can morph like Clayface is that the symbiotes are breaking their bones and moving their insides around deep in the goo. Dulling the pain of the host.
Imagine their brains untwirling and being wrapped back together in there. Bleh. That would explain the insanity.

Godzilla Mendoza is our universe's Spider-Man. He tries to give it up many times and he's always called upon once again. 2008 aka Spectacular was the last time they actually cared about each character and world building. I can forgive the early years for several reasons but in recent years, with all our technology, we've tumbled back down the mountain and been crushed by the boulders.
Also, I totally forgot that Iceman was voiced by Fred. 😂

I'd like to point out a big point towards EMH Spidey being Spectacular-
in the Spectacular Spider-Man, he has this really great theme that plays every now and then during action scenes, or other key scenes. You can hear this at the end of episodes with the big ol' "Mask in the Sky" image.

I unironically love the 81' Spider-Man series. I wasn't around when it originally aired, but I had a handful of the VHS tapes while growing up in the 90s. It's good dumb fun. My favourite epise is the one where Spidey has to battle The Lizard... and a cold.

I notice that Saturnz Barz (instrumental) is certainly an overarching theme for this series of reviews, which is honestly a fun choice.
I always like to have a theme song for whenever I do a series of videos about the same subject. When I was doing a Retrospective of the Hulk games, I used the song "High Pressure Dave" by Health at the start of all of them.

And now that this video is uploaded, Disney will announce the debut date of Spider-Man Freshman Year
Spectacular is pretty close to perfect in terms of consolidating so many storyline from the comics in a digestible, but effective format, but I owe basically everything to the 1994 series for getting me into the character, exposing me to the serialized method that defines comic book storytelling, and starting me off on comic books alongside X-Men TAS as well. Hope Disney pays attention to how much ass X-Men 97 is kicking right now and gets John Semper Jr. back into things. Even a CDB cameo in 97 would be awesome
I was introduced to Spider-Man thanks to the first Sam Raimi film, but the 90's show exposed more of the "comic bookey side" for me. A teacher gave me a VHS of Spider-Man: Ultimate Villain Showdown since he knew I was super into Spider-Man.

I kinda liked Ultimate Spider-Man, other than all of his team members stealing his spotlight, and how nobody listened to or respected him despite his experience and abilities!
It was always weird to me that the parody of Spider-Man became the actual Spider-Man
Xavier was honestly what got me hooked to Spider-Man before I became a full on fan of him, sure I knew him cuz he was popular and watched the Tobey and tom movies, but watching all his costume videos and retrospectives got me to watch the Spider-Man shows like spectacular and Spider-Man unlimited getting me into the deeper end of its fanbase, so I'm sure he's never gonna read this but thank you Xavier, even though your not a Spider-Man channel, eat your heart out screwball.

I'm only 19 and haven't watched the animated series from the 90s but since watching this video I thought I'd give it a watch, might I say this is some of the best spidey content I've seen in a long time, thank you xavier!

I reused my review for all of these series. HOWEVER, I actually slightly re-edited the 90s one and added extra parts to it, including more parallels with the Raimi movies and a montage at the end.

Does anybody else wonder why it is that no Spider-Man and Peter Parker in the media has ever thought to differentiate their voice in either identity?
I keep looking back at The Spectacular Spider-Man realizing that Norman and Goblin, while the same person as it turned out in the end, is the first ever version to NOT be voiced by the same guy. Why didn't the people behind that show trying to do the same thing for Spider-Man & Peter, especially when they are the only two characters in that whole series that were hiding their identities behind the masks? Even Tombstone got in on some of that, even though in his case it was because he unknowingly switched voice actors
