Dak has a lot to do w this. 1. Inaccurate just like his college scouting report said. That’s why he was 4th round. 2. He makes many wrong calls. Don’t forget he has a chance to opt out of a play into another reading defenses. It’s been shown he is not making good decisions there. 3. If you can’t convert over and over you leave defense on the field too long and it’s the NFL players are too good to do that over and over. 4. They are putting 8 and sometime 9 in the box to stop Zeke and daring Dak to beat them. Can’t do it. 5. The sacks he takes many are not the offense lines fault. They did analysis and only contributed 2 to the offensive line this year. 6. He’s the only QB since 1994 to have this many games w less than 200 yards passing. The only one and that’s before the rules of touching after 5 yards. That’s about as bad as it gets really.

If you don't trust your offense to get you 1.5 yards on 4th down, why not try to win the game right now with a Field Goal? If you miss, you lose. Best video on the topic. I agree with Will Cain on everything you say. Zeke is one of the best RB and Garret says to punt instead of going for 4th and 1. No one knows what would have happened if Garrett had gone for 4th and 1. And if it didn't work, they at least tried. Zeke may have been struggling getting through defense for this game, but he may have had that extra oomph to break through cause we've seen it before. I listened to each argument, as usual, and understand where they're all coming from. Like Stephen A, I, too, came to the conclusion that Jason Garrett was relying on the defense.
The problem with that is, he doesn't trust his offense. And, as stated, he's trying to win without the possibility of losing. But, real losers are those who fail to try. And boy did the Texans take advantage of Garrett's 'failure to try'!
The players are suppose to have faith in their coaches and vice versa. It appears that this is one of the problems that have been exposed.
How can a coach lead his team to victory if he doesn't trust them? Sorry but, this team has more issues than just execution. We've just discovered one. They need to fix this.

Well done guys. But this was still not good enough to cover up the continuing problems that the Cowboys have on offense. There appears to be a coaching breakdown which needs to be remedied. While there were flashes of brilliant plays, there were also equally a number of failed plays due to various breakdowns...C'mon Cowboys coaching staff..It's time to step up and fix the problems..Go Cowboys!!!
The defense is great , other then the 1st game they haven’t given up 20 points to anybody.
Dak has a lot to do w this.
1. Inaccurate just like his college scouting report said. That’s why he was 4th round.
2. He makes many wrong calls. Don’t forget he has a chance to opt out of a play into another reading defenses. It’s been shown he is not making good decisions there.
3. If you can’t convert over and over you leave defense on the field too long and it’s the NFL players are too good to do that over and over.
4. They are putting 8 and sometime 9 in the box to stop Zeke and daring Dak to beat them. Can’t do it.
5. The sacks he takes many are not the offense lines fault. They did analysis and only contributed 2 to the offensive line this year.
6. He’s the only QB since 1994 to have this many games w less than 200 yards passing. The only one and that’s before the rules of touching after 5 yards. That’s about as bad as it gets really.
Yes that’s a problem also, but mainly bad coaching. I’m done defending Dak. When he played bad I defended him, but it’s getting ridiculous now.

No one is mentioning that a Field Goal from the opponent's 42 yard line would have been a 59 yard attempt. If you don't trust your offense to get you 1.5 yards on 4th down, why not try to win the game right now with a Field Goal?
If you miss, you lose. If you fail to get 1.5 yards on a 4th down attempt, you probably deserve to lose.
Best video on the topic. I agree with Will Cain on everything you say. Zeke is one of the best RB and Garret says to punt instead of going for 4th and 1. No one knows what would have happened if Garrett had gone for 4th and 1. And if it didn't work, they at least tried. Zeke may have been struggling getting through defense for this game, but he may have had that extra oomph to break through cause we've seen it before. I've been watching Zeke since he was at Ohio State. Stephen A. is wrong. Sometimes you have to take the risk. And this goes for anyone, how will you know what will happen if you don't go for it. Maybe you win or maybe you lose. But if you don't go for it, you'll be forever wondering what would have happened if you had tried.

Not a big Jason Garrett fan but I have no problem with the punt. Zeke was dinged up a couple plays before that fateful punt. We ran the ball on third and two and gained nothing. The problem is not the decision to punt. The problem is that we can't throw the ball with any efficiency. The problem is also that we don't have a back up running back and we are killing Zeke. How about developing a passing game or playing some defense after the punt.
I have never said anything over so many loses that should have been wins in Jason Garrett era but i do agree he does have to go. I couldnt believe they didnt go for it on fourth i knew that that was gonna put the icing on the cake over that decision.
