@@AdamBelis Yes. I think it's because of using markers and roughen effect the same time. I was testing it even without the clones and it was crusing every time I was trying to move node after I set markers and added roughen. Separately both of them work but in combination Inkscape looses stability. :/
following along but the small grey squares you use to place the markers are not showing on my markers options. I only have the 3 pencils at the top, nothing else in that area what am i missing here? grateful for any guidance here, thanks.
Yes coping ins ted of duplicating is in portant. To get pencil smooot you need middle segment to be small enough. And your spline needs to have smooth geometry
very useful tutorial video thank you very much
I love this short walk-through, but plenty informative, tutorials format on random things you can do in inkscape/blender. Great tutorials, Adam!
Thanks Adam very good tutorial.

Really interesting workflow, specially the last detail about being able to use bitmaps.

great tutorial! somehow my big pencil doesn't change when I change colours...any idea what I've done wrong?
Did you clone your parts befor you converted them to marker ?
Great tutorial. Unfortunately 1.3 is highly unstable while using this method
hmm intresitng did not tested that will have to report back. ibut this was never super stable
you haveto try not to add too many clones
ah yes just tested this yes it crashes :(

did you tired to apply any of this pencils ?
yes I clicked on the first pencil end then the last, and they are HUGE
so frustrating, I was duplicating instead of cloning, fixed that, but cannot for the life if me get that pencil smooth!
