@@GHR93the 2nd time they did crimson realm Sega messed with the all D O because people complain it being to loud they didn't just lower it they lower some parts of the sound and not others as much now it sounds like a normal combat zone nothing special crimson realm is supposed to be a special combat zone were everyone wants to go to it doesn't feel the same hipe or excitement spelled hipe wrong whatever taking a nap
Say what you want about how NGS started, but, man oh man, can we not deny the music for both PSO2 and NGS goes unnecessarily hard at times. Even now, Dark to Light brings me to tears.
Knocked it out of the park yet again. Neon Nights definitely took me back and Nameless City gives me the same feels~
Neon Nights is definitely one of the songs I keep going back to and ep 4 had other bangers like the Tokyo Night theme and the best PSO 2 op in Borderless.
It's enough to make a grown man cry/...

Say what you will about NGS but the PS sound team have never disappointed ever since the original PSO.
Sega just has good composers in general. I mean the current LTQ has Sand Road from Sonic Team Racing. Like, what? That song goes hard.
I never caught the Retem Alnothe nod in City Exploration's music.
It's really interesting how many ties NC has with Retem. Even in Chapter 7 they played the "original" song of mourning!

Honestly, PSO2 as a whole is one of the largest unsung giants in gaming soundtracks out there. Of the... what? 700 or so OSTs covering the entirety of both games, there is a staggering amount of grade 'A' music covering every manner of descriptions people use to describe music.
People generally acknowledge that SEGA's products, regardless of their broader impact, always knock it out of the park with music. The thought of this giant game they're putting together with multiple SEGA-owned properties (Sonic, Persona, Yakuza and PSO2 among them) is a big question mark in terms of what they'll do with it, but that game's soundtrack has basically limitless potential for sheer insanity. Would be nice if it manages to draw more attention to the long history of Phantasy Star having incredible tracks as well.

Phantasy Star music is the reason why I keep the BGM at 80% at all times. It has yet to disappoint me.

Then starting with challenge modes release and EP4 release onward, I felt like they couldn’t stop making bangers haha

In my 52 years I can truly say that Sega has yet to disappoint when it comes to music in their games... soundtracks from the Panzer Dragoon series, Burning Rangers all the way to New Genesis have always been and continue to be great but these latest tracks from New Genesis just hit different 🙌🏾 🎸🎧🎚️🎤🥁🎛️🎹🎷

PSO2 has way better music than NGS… I’m a musician and I can say… NGS has a few songs I love.. like the DFHL battle in Aelio when you’re waiting for UQ… that piano solo.. 😮💨 but bases remix of temple is beast
