The different elemental tendencies offer quite a devious balance that does remind me of how cards in Episode 3 balanced out. Different elements are able to kind of undermine each others' strategies. (In Ep.3, ightweight cards tended to match up less effectively against medium strength ones; medium ones would get crushed more easily by the heavy hitters, but then the heavies were more vulnerable to hit-and-run tactics of the lightweight cards, because a player couldn't set much to back up a strong card that got paralyzed or otherwise incapacitated.) I see the 5 card draw rule still holds. The cost/summon method is better though, as Ep.3 used dice, which could be effected on purpose, (Dice Fever + Dice Half + Exchange + Deldepth says hello) but this is purely strategic. There's also an interesting gambit available since you're trying to knock out only 2 of the 3 lines. You can leave a line more or less exposed and concentrate your forces in the other two, (potentially, at least) and predict the opponent's line of attack to favor the unprotected/underprotected line, but hit way harder on the other two and win -- or you can prioritize all 3. Guess the former strategy will be popular with Zonde-type players. :D

I can see why they call it Line Strike now! This sounds like a lot of fun, it's nice how every elemental type has an identity of its own. And my god, you can get so many tickets from it! It's also impressive how they basically put an entire game inside the game, too. Great video as always!

What is that Weapon Camo, the one that look like circle ring floating? Need to know, is that talis?

If there is 1 thing I wish to happen in cutscene, I wish our MC would switch weapon from time to time lol. Like in OP MC switch from sword to rifle, wish they do that in some cutscene for variety. It didn't have to be a weapon from our current class, just change from sword to other. Like in PSO2, MC use sword at 1st, then when Hero unlock, in cutscene MC use 3 hero weapon, then Ph, and ET. I found that very cool and wish our NGS MC would take that direction in the future.

How are you using weapon action without it in your sub palette or weapon shortcuts?

Hi, off-topic question but what was the weapon camo you were using for Ranger in the class introduction guide? New player here and I'm trying to define my look with the resources available, of which i love to follow the "Pso2 tech" look and I would love that for my Ranger gameplay. Love the guide, I'll be looking forward to more!

Phantasy Star music is the reason why I keep the BGM at 80% at all times. It has yet to disappoint me.

I assume Auto Restasigne is one of the unreleased augments as I saw that on a list somewhere recently and haven’t seen it in game. Auto Restasigne, Fortune Signe, and Enemy Field PP Gauge are my ideal combo. I’ve currently got Fortune Signe and Enemy Field PP Gauge on my weapon and, during PSE Bursts, I never have to take my finger off the trigger whilst firing a Fear Eraser 😍😂 (Ra/Br here). I think Auto Resta will make Launchers a GODSEND when it comes to Fear Eraser. No more stopping big laser to pop a Resta because the boss slapped you for half your health lmao

How I wish they continued to add PSO2 Ep4 to Ep6 OSTs to Spotify so I can relisten to it while playing NGS, even Kvaris and Stia's music discs are missing in there too. 😢

Always have been. XD Honestly, PSO2 as a whole is one of the largest unsung giants in gaming soundtracks out there. Of the... what? 700 or so OSTs covering the entirety of both games, there is a staggering amount of grade 'A' music covering every manner of descriptions people use to describe music. People generally acknowledge that SEGA's products, regardless of their broader impact, always knock it out of the park with music. The thought of this giant game they're putting together with multiple SEGA-owned properties (Sonic, Persona, Yakuza and PSO2 among them) is a big question mark in terms of what they'll do with it, but that game's soundtrack has basically limitless potential for sheer insanity. Would be nice if it manages to draw more attention to the long history of Phantasy Star having incredible tracks as well.

PSO2 has way better music than NGS… I’m a musician and I can say… NGS has a few songs I love.. like the DFHL battle in Aelio when you’re waiting for UQ… that piano solo.. 😮‍💨 but bases remix of temple is beast

In my 52 years I can truly say that Sega has yet to disappoint when it comes to music in their games... soundtracks from the Panzer Dragoon series, Burning Rangers all the way to New Genesis have always been and continue to be great but these latest tracks from New Genesis just hit different 🙌🏾 🎸🎧🎚️🎤🥁🎛️🎹🎷

Say what you will about NGS but the PS sound team have never disappointed ever since the original PSO.
