    Great info, thanks. A question- do the white gold sunglasses have a somewhat gold appearance as well?

      Hi Mario,
      No the White Gold ones actually look like chrome silver.
      Not gold like at all.

    How long does the white gold last on these sunglasses before needing to re rhodium before the white gold loses its color

      Pretty sturdy coatings on these.
      So far, mine look good as new.

    A 200% price increase from 4 years ago. That’s what free Hollywood advertising gets you

      Nah, they didn’t go up by 200%. The non-polarized poly lens matte chrome Aviators went from $169 in 2017 to $249 today.
      Gold frames, glass lens and polarization are all extra cost options.
      Welcome to inflation, high fuel costs and trying to keep your American workers afloat.
      The prices are still reasonable for the quality and warranty.
      Especially when Ray-Bans are $169 and probably cost less than 1/4th of what the Randolfs cost to make. Support that small American business

      I'm not really aware of ”command USA 23k Randolph” .... pretty sure that the product you have is not authentic.

    which one is better polarized or non polarized

    • @maanics
      @maanics  Před 2 lety +1

      Depends on your use.
      Usually Polarized is preferred for driving / boating..
      Non-polarized for pilots (Polarized sunglasses disrupt the lcd panel view)

    • @maanics
      @maanics  Před 2 lety +4

      Hi Mustapha!
      I love both, but if I had to choose one, I'd pick the "23k white gold with cobalt lenses" over the "23k gold with American gray" lenses.

      Get Chrome plated or silver instead, I own two pairs of gold frames from Randolph and the plating has peeled on both. Kinda looks like shit now.

    • @tomdavis3038
      @tomdavis3038 Před 2 lety +1

      I’d say American optical is better choice. Randolph is constantly raising their prices since they got “trendy” and are no longer a good value. IMHO

    • @maanics
      @maanics  Před 2 lety +1

      You certainly can wear them all day long.
      The bayonet temples are helpful if you want to wear headphones or a helmet.
      The 23k gold ones are specially grippy on the nose due to their nose pads. (Helpful for jogging or light sports)

    Bro 55mm or 58mm which one is a good fit?

    • @maanics
      @maanics  Před 2 lety

      The fit depends on person to person.
      I'm a big guy so i prefer the large (58mm).
      They have a sizing guide on the Randolph website too which might be helpful for your decision. You just have to measure the distance between your temples to get an idea of the optimal lens width.
