    That's a great deal. $25 for nice tightened hinges and new nose pieces as well as cleaning.

    I have a question, if you allow me.. My vision size is not correct.. I have weak distance vision.. Do they have a service to make the lenses compatible with my vision size? Is this service available on their site or not? I am waiting for your answer and thank you 🙏🌹

    Do they buff off scratches that are on the upper part of the frames(the bridge)? I've been thinking about sending mine in for repair but I'm not sure if I should wait until they're a little more worn down...

      I had mine sent it. Unfortunately, the scratches are still there. I don't think they did anything with it. They replaced the nose pads and temple tips and installed new lenses.

    Problem is, if they arent original frames, its not the same. Tune up everything but, only have Randolph original lenses, pads and arm pads.

    • @UhhhhhnooOOo00oO

      @MichaelHsu95 I typed lenses. Almost all of the vintage ones have replacement lenses. They aren't 120 dollar glass polarized and other from Randolph. Oh, by "original" in the first sentence, I meant Vintage OG. ;)

    • @bjsmind
      @bjsmind Před 10 měsíci

      @@UhhhhhnooOOo00oOthe vintage OG lenses without the Randolph etching on them? I think you can still send them in for tune up and then ask them if you can have the modern lenses. I asked customer service, they do it for $80 for non polarized and $140 for polarized but only when you send them in for tune up. They won't sell the lenses separately.

    • @UhhhhhnooOOo00oO
      @UhhhhhnooOOo00oO Před 10 měsíci +1

      @bjsmind Yes. I saw that on the website and reas someone's comment on here somewhere. I bit ridiculous for lenses. They are top quality glass. Plastic copies are horrid. I've spent much more on sunglasses but, on a 200-350 pair, that's proce gauging. They make quality sunglasses. I have two pairs and a lesser American Optical. Their Ecole GX or 24K specialized pairs are a bit over the top. I see some OG pairs with Randoplh on the lenses. Either fake or, they used to or still do or someone os copying that. I can tell a real pair and especially the ones from them or the Vintage heavier ones for real pilots. You can tell from the metal, the lenses and the matte.

    • @UhhhhhnooOOo00oO
      @UhhhhhnooOOo00oO Před 10 měsíci

      @bjsmind Lastly, I still don't know how to tell if vintage or modern Randolphs have had the lenses replaced. The lenses are 1/3 or 1/2 the cost. I don't know if the original pilot aviators were even made with polarized lenses. The perfect pair is an OG with Polarized lenses and that cool original writing case. (Vintage)

      I think for what you invest in them it's a nice touch and offer to help keep loyal customers. Especially is this day and age where everything is buy, wear, break .....buy again! Worth the investment to keep an American worker employed also. I am capable of doing the repair myself but nothing like they can based on the video

      Agree on the hinge thing.. that's the biggest thing he was worried about? Give the screws a quarter turn. The nose pads and parts that go behind your ears I can understand, those wear out.
