I love it when I get tailgated in traffic jams including high beaming and honking. Like the hundreds of cars in front of me will go faster if he pushes my bumper. My theory why people become assholes once they are sitting in their cars is because they get some kind of anonymity and safe distance between them and other people and start showing their true character.

And if you drive in the left lane there is no speed fast enough to satisfy them. You could put a brick on your gas pedal and lean back and they will be flashing and tailgating.

OMG! I feel the same way. Driving has been my favorite thing in the whole world until about the past five years or so. People are fucking crazy on the road! No courtesy at all. Everyone is speeding, angry, agressive. Now I only drive when I absolutely have to. All the joy of driving is gone and it's about being ever so careful I don't get in an accident, and make it back in one piece. Oh yeah! The high beams....IN THE CITY...every other car.

I agree 100%. Aggressive drivers- that's what ticks ME off too. They look at me like I'm the bad guy because I'm going the speed limit. Nobody stops before making right turns from stop signs and red lights anymore either. I don't get it. When did stopping at stop signs and red lights become optional??? I could go on.

I wish that I can hack into LIVE TV, take over all of the channels, then air this video for 24 hours I remember someone was on my bumper while i was doing a little above the speed limit. I was like "fck this guy", so i stayed in the lane. When he got a chance to pass me, he sped away going like 25mph above the limit. 3 minutes later, I caught him at a red light. I looked at him with a calm smile and eased into my turn

There's a difference between fast drivers and aggressive drivers. I like driving fast, but not stupid. Some aggressive drivers drive super fast and weave in and out between lanes like their in a rush. I'll see them 2 miles down the road across from me at the stop light. All of that aggressive driving got them nowhere fast.

What ticks me off is manhole covers that are in line with your passenger tire, go to the right to avoid damage to your cars suspension and you knock over people's mailboxes, go to the left just a bit and your in oncoming traffic... That's what ticks me off.. put the pipe over in the ditch or move the road

I am NOT required to move over to accommodate you. I am not staying in the right lane in order to prevent you from turning. My turn may be coming up, or else I may not be able to move over. If your light is red, YOU are required to yield. 2.) If you are at a red light, you want to turn left, and you DO NOT have a turn arrow, sorry, you will have to wait once the light turns green. Please do not floor it when the light turns and turn aggressively in front of me. 3.) Please follow at a proper distance of one car length per 10 miles-per-hour. You are putting both of us in danger by doing that. Either go around me or back off, please. 4.) If I am in front of you and am trying to turn left, please do not expect me to take unnecessary risks just to save you a few seconds. I do not turn unless and until I (AND I ALONE!!!) feel it is safe to do so. Do not for a second believe that honking or flashing your lights at me is going to make me force a bad situation. And, by all means, please do not pull around me in frustration. That is really, REALLY asking to get involved in a collision. 5.) Sorry to disappoint you, but if I am first in line at a red light, I do not floor it when the light changes. I always, and I do mean ALWAYS, scan the intersection for drivers who insist on running red lights. My mother-in-law totaled her car because of a red light runner, and the same nearly happened to me (the only reason it did not is because I stopped and waited for some ditz to look up from her phone). 6.) Please merge properly. That goes for people in the right lane and those on the on-ramp. Work together, people. Work together. 7.) On the freeway, if you want to pass, do it on the left. If drivers in the left lane are passing and you are trying to go faster than them, you are going too fast. Please back off. Do not insist on passing on the right, because it is too dangerous. Conversely, if you are in the left lane, are not passing, and someone is about to overtake you, please move over and let them pass. Even if they are going too fast, it is far safer for you to get out of their way than to try to pen them in. If someone really is driving in a dangerous manner, use the hands-free feature on your phone to call the Highway Patrol and report them. 8.) During morning rush hour, please remember that we all have to be to work on time, not just you. Please be patient. Wait in line with everyone else, take a different route, or leave the house earlier. Please do not try forcing your way in line so I have no choice but to jam on the brakes. If we have a collision, it's only going to exacerbate everyone else's commute, not just yours and mine. That's all I got right now...
#3 .. a litte off. An easier, and the correct way, to time your spacing is to count. 2.5 to 3 seconds if you're doing less than 70mph. 4 seconds for 70-90mph. 5-7 seconds for 100+mph. :-) Not being an ass, the question on the driving test regarding spacing has to do with distance measure in time, not feet or car lengths. And I agree, people need to back off! This is the reason for accidents 9/10 times! Or hovering next to someone in their blindspot.

6.) Please merge properly. That goes for people in the right lane and those on the on-ramp. Work together, people. Work together.
7.) On the freeway, if you want to pass, do it on the left. If drivers in the left lane are passing and you are trying to go faster than them, you are going too fast. Please back off. Do not insist on passing on the right, because it is too dangerous. Conversely, if you are in the left lane, are not passing, and someone is about to overtake you, please move over and let them pass. Even if they are going too fast, it is far safer for you to get out of their way than to try to pen them in. If someone really is driving in a dangerous manner, use the hands-free feature on your phone to call the Highway Patrol and report them.
8.) During morning rush hour, please remember that we all have to be to work on time, not just you. Please be patient. Wait in line with everyone else, take a different route, or leave the house earlier. Please do not try forcing your way in line so I have no choice but to jam on the brakes. If we have a collision, it's only going to exacerbate everyone else's commute, not just yours and mine.

An easier, and the correct way, to time your spacing is to count. 2.5 to 3 seconds if you're doing less than 70mph. 4 seconds for 70-90mph. 5-7 seconds for 100+mph. :-) Not being an ass, the question on the driving test regarding spacing has to do with distance measure in time, not feet or car lengths. And I agree, people need to back off! This is the reason for accidents 9/10 times! Or hovering next to someone in their blindspot.

I drive for a living and I see awful driving. We should all be retested every 5 years just to be reminded that there are other drivers. Be safe .
This is my biggest pet peeve too Vic. The drivers are so bad here in Cali, that I bought a bumper sticker that says, "If you're going to ride my ass, don't forget to kiss it." 😂 It's funny to see their expressions through my rear view mirror as they read it. Priceless.

Nearly got hit crossing the road last week, the driver turned without using indicator lights, and he was going too fast and he was using his phone and playing loud music, he never saw me. Too wrapped up in his own little world

With you there Vic. Even just today I had a car behind me trying to merge in as late as possible and another guy trying not to let him in. Then they proceeded to take turns in overtaking each other...just fighting to be the car in front, on busy single lane traffic, no regard to traffic coming the other way...like wtf is wrong with people? The ended up stopping after the 3rd overtake, probably to fight...or they crashed... I'm not sure, I just kept going and lost them in the rear view mirror.

This is so true! I hate it when road construction is ahead with a lane closure. There's always people who speed up and expect you to let them in at the last minute. I've started not letting them in. If they hit me they're at fault. That's kind of screwed but I'm sick of it!
Just saw a 4 car accident yesterday on the GSP. Rear ended each other by East Orange where the construction is. Wow.
