Just today, driving through the backroads of Jackson to get to Route 9 in Howell, I had some tailgate me, I had two people who wanted to go around me just to get one car ahead because me doing 50 in a 40 wasn't fast enough for them, and after they passed me by, they came back into my lane in front of me and didn't use their signal when changing lanes. Also another favorite of mine, when you come up to a red light and there is a straight lane and a right turn lane, and people use the right turn lane to go straight because they want to get ahead of everybody else and be up in front of line, meanwhile they hold up all the cars that want to turn right, because you can turn right on red, I hate those people with a passion. And last but not least when there is a dual turn lane, and the person that is turning doesn't stay in their proper lane and they start drifting over into you or cutting you off during the turn, how hard is it to make a turn and to stay in your designated lane? This video Vic should have a part 2, because there are so many other shitty, lazy, selfish types of drivers out there. What about the drivers to go 50mph all the way up to a stop sign and then slam on the breaks, you get scared thinking they are not going to stop and go right through the stop sign. But my favorite one is people who are making a turn out of a side street, and literally wait until you are 2 car lengths away from them and then they decide to pull out in front of you forcing you to slow down and slam on your breaks, because they pull out nice and slow and take forever to get up to speed, that happens to me at least twice a week if not more, and sadly 9 out of 10 times, there are no cars behind me, so if they literally would just wait another 5 seconds I would be passed them and then they can go without causing anyone to slow down. I call this problem the 3 i's, impatient, inconsiderate, ignorant a-holes that is what this world is full with. It's a sad sad world. Be safe and be careful out there, and a pro-tip for you, try to avoid driving through Lakewood unless it is a Saturday, lol.

My favorite is when I am in the passing lane, actually passing people, whole going 5-10mph over the posted speed limit, only to have some speed demon wanting to travel 20mph or greater over the speed limit, weaving back and forth or blinking their lights at me. Doesn't work.

Think about it: We take a written test ONE time, to get our beginers permit, about age 15-16. We take a ridiculously easy road test to get our license, about age 16-17. Then, there is no accountability. When you go to renew your license in my state, all you have to do is read the eye chart at the DMV counter, and you're in. It's like an episode of "Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?" How many people who have held a license for 20-30 years could pass the written test today?

And it is the state's fault as well. For my state, which is Illinois, they don't even take you on the highway at all. The handbook says nothing about a passing lane. Just a "fast lane," which is a huge problem. Going 60 mph on a 55 limit does not mean you should be in the left lane just because you're going "fast." Point is, this is a problem in the United States and I can't speak for other nations since I'm not educated on their driving laws but it is a huge problem in this country. Our roads would be safer and accidents would surely go down if this was enforced and taught when people are learning to drive. All in all, my point is that the States should teach and enforce this in every single state because it is just the safe and logical thing to do.

Someone swerved into my lane. Did I get mad? NO. He didn't see me, because I was obviously in his blind spot, and he was in a hurry. But my car has a steering wheel and brakes. SO i USED THEM. Honestly, if people don't know it but they see people do it, don't you think it might cross their mind "All these people seem to move over after the car they pass. Maybe I should do it too?"
And it is the state's fault as well. For my state, which is Illinois, they don't even take you on the highway at all. The handbook says nothing about a passing lane. Just a "fast lane," which is a huge problem.
Going 60 mph on a 55 limit does not mean you should be in the left lane just because you're going "fast."
Point is, this is a problem in the United States and I can't speak for other nations since I'm not educated on their driving laws but it is a huge problem in this country. Our roads would be safer and accidents would surely go down if this was enforced and taught when people are learning to drive.
All in all, my point is that the States should teach and enforce this in every single state because it is just the safe and logical thing to do.
Berry Harbour I hear you BUT if I’m driving in the left lane and every car is riding my ass, flashing me and flipping me off when they pass me, I’d figure out to move out of the way. It’s a huge huge problem in the metro NY area. When it’s not rush hour and there’s a cluster of traffic, 9 times out of 10 it’s a left lane driver causing a clog
Someone swerved into my lane. Did I get mad? NO.
He didn't see me, because I was obviously in his blind spot, and he was in a hurry.
But my car has a steering wheel and brakes. SO i USED THEM.
I avoided the problem, then I got on with my life.
I didn't feel the need to chase the other driver down and cuss at them.
Life's too short to waste time doing that.
