**UPDATE** I completed first battery test in PCMark 10 Modern Office and it did 11h14m which is about 1.5 hours better than Galaxy Book3 Pro from last year.
**UPDATE 2** I am still trying to kill the battery with the PCMark 10 Video Playback test and so far we are now more than 11 hours in and still has 30% left. So battery is looking good.

Well the batteries last fine initially but later post updates to windows, things become entirely different. The units don't sleep in sleep mode and keep drawing on power and personally for me, the previous version only lasts about hour and a half now and it has been around a year or so. Besides Samsung has lots of QC issues on their laptops.

Oh My God Andrew!! What a Gorgeous machine!! So tempted to get one of these this year but want to wait until you get all the models in before making my final decision!! Definitely an improvement from last year's. Minimal screen wobble, gorgeous AMOLED display, anti-glare, clear webcam quality as well as the internal mics and pretty good sound out of the internal speakers! I think Samsung has outdone themselves this year and will be actively looking for you to review all of the models for this year's lineup! Excellent unboxing and first look as always my friend!!! 👍😁

Got mine, noticed the screen blacks out a few seconds at times. Thought it was too small when I unboxed it but it has grown on me. The display is amazing

Agree. Samsung is usually known for slick design like their phones especially the galaxy. Wish they have more color choices too. And that micro sd. 😂 who the heck use it? Photographers use cf and sd cards. Unless they made it for Nintendo switch users. Haha.

How do you compare this to the 2024 zenbook 14?
I see lots of common elements: amoled screen, core ultra 7, 32 gbs RAM, 500gbs/1tb ssd, similar pricing, even same ports except for sd card reader...

The charger is almost like for Samsung smartphones! Moreover, Samsung also has a 65 watt charger with 2 type-c connectors, it's very cool that you could immediately charge your laptop and phone (you'll need to buy it, cause as I understand, a charger with a single connector is included with this laptop)

Will be good for both and having the touchscreen is a benefit in my opinion sometimes manipulating photos with fingers etc.

Great review! I was quite bummed about the 14 inch pro version not having the option for 32 GB RAM in the US Market. It seems that Samsung's Asia Pacific Markets like Hong Kong and South Korea are able to spec their Galaxy Book4 Pro's with 32 GB RAM but in the US, UK, and Canada and most Western Markets it seems the option for 32 GB RAM is only available on the Ultra. Had the 14 inch pro had a 32 GB RAM option, I could see this selling well with high-end professionals in the states in the ultraportable arena as a Windows Alternative to the Macbook Air.

Lenovo yoga 9i 2in 1 2024 model unboxing?
The key caps appear totally flat, or is there a slight dish/taper to them like a MacBook? I bought my wife an HP Pavilion Plus 14, and it's flat key caps make tying terrible. Even a slight dish helps most people with finger placement.
Well let me answer that for you. No, there is literally no key travel at all and they are, as you've pointed out, indeed totally flat. It's the main reason I returned my last gen galaxy book as writing on it had been nothing but a chore ..

In Italy I have just purchased it. You don't have any Copilot button and the memory is 512 gb with 16 ram
The lack of 32Gb in the non-Ultra options (in the US market, weirdly) is a major pain and the reason I can't go with a Book 4. I've seen some references to it being available (3rd party sites) but it's not available on the Samsung site and their support confirmed there is no 32Gb option. Mind you, it took 10 mins of chat with "support" - when asking about the 32Gb option they initially tried to upsell me to, um, the 512Gb version. I had to explain RAM vs. storage. Sigh.
I actually purchased an Ultra about a year ago but soon after I got an LG Gram (albeit i7 vs i9) with 32gb...for 1/3 price of the Ultra (around $1,100 vs $3,000+). It has worked great for me so far and the extra money for the Ultra was not remotely justified. I returned the Ultra. But I still like the build of the Book series.
PS: I am looking for a laptop with the lightness (3lbs or so) of the LG Gram or the Samsung Book series and with 32Gb. The Gram seems like my only option right now.

Is it more premium in terms of materials and build quality than the new Dell Xps?
They are both up there in terms of premium quality. I have to look at them side by side to determine which is actually better.
At 2:15 the table shows 32Gb availability. This is not available in the US, right? I checked with Samsung today and they confirmed it is only available in 16Gb, but I keep seeing references to 32Gb (I am talking about the Pro, not the Ultra). Their (US) web site doesn't offer 32Gb.

I assume it's some weird push towards the Ultra (not sure why that would only apply to the US), but wondered if you had any insight into their logic. What a great review, thank you for the wonderful videos. Like many of the previous comments, I also am disappointed that in the US we cannot get a 32GB version of the 14" Galaxy Book4 Pro. I don't understand why it isn't an available option. How do they expect to compete with the Asus Zenbook which has MORE for LESS $.

NO, 14 is more compact
I returned this laptop today because the touch pad can't handle palm rejection properly and so I can't type keyboard with comfort. Samsung did update the firmware to fix it, but it still has the problem. I tested another Galaxy book4 pro and even Galaxy book3 pro. Both has the same problem. It means Samsung can't resolve the issue. I also tested other lenovo laptops. Palm rejection works very well.

When I got my Book 4 Pro 360, the official website mentioned there to be just 1 NVME Slot. Since this is a high end laptop, it should support gen 4 ssd with no trouble whatsoever.

Personally, I think the Spectre x360 is better in many ways. But the Samsung is lighter so that may play a factor in your decision.

their book pro series have gotten noticeably heavier,,, the 14 inch book4 pro weights 2.71 lbs and the older book pro 15.6" weighed 2.3 lbs and the 13.3" weighed 1.96 lbs..... Now those were lightweight laptops!!!

Definitely the spectre, at least until the galaxy book releases with the snapdragon, then this might be the more efficient option

I really like this Samsung. But here's the issue: Asus Zenbook has 32 GB RAM, 1TB SSD, Xtylus pen support with included pen, and bigger battery for $1,299 vs the Samsung for $1,449. And that kind of bothers me. I think both computers are great and would love to see a vs video on at least those two units. The 14 inch laptops are hard to sort out.

I've been using the Galaxy Book 4 Pro 14 inch for two months. The downside of this product is that
1) The cooling fan continues to operate under low loads.
It can be annoying because it is sensitive compared to 16-inch models under low loads such as using the Internet
2) In Korea, the creaking issue of the lower part of the laptop is often reported. Mine was the same.
What is this creaking issue? Please tell me.
@@HDRPC When I press the bottom of my laptop with my hand, it makes a crackling sound. This is presumed to be due to the fact that the bottom of the laptop is not completely joined and there is a slight floating area. Of course, this is random, and it is a problem that is reported a lot in the Korean community, starting with the Galaxy Book 3 Pro model. If there is such a problem, Samsung Service Center in Korea will replace the bottom of the laptop, but I don't know what other countries will do.
these little things don't interfere with the use of the laptop, but they're not a good experience

1. The issue of the laptop's lower plate clacking applies to both 14 inches and 16 inches.
But I think it's better than last year's model. [Less mention of the problem in the community compared to last year's model]
I was very, very unlucky, so both the Galaxy Book 3 Pro 16 inch and the Galaxy Book 4 Pro 14 inch models had that defect, but I got it replaced easily at the service center
2. Fan noise at low loads makes the 16-inch model feel more comfortable

The fan noise at high load sounds a little sharper at 14 inches, but I think it's almost the same

Personally ... The perfect device isn't out yet... And for me that would be a 14,5" 360 or yoga version :) There is a 14" from Lenovo but suffers badle from the Screen door effect... 😢
@Cybertron667 this is the most beautiful laptop with the best buildquality I've ever seen. and this is all in such a narrow, high quality case. the speakers are good for the device, see no disadvantage to the tablet. I like the display even better than the Tab S9 Ultra, great colors and in my opinion higher brightness and color luminosity in the dark room. the pen works a bit worse, but I hardly use it. so overall it is great laptop, very good display, fast, good speakers, very high quality build and good hinges. I am totally enthusiastic and keep it in any case. after selling the monitor I have paid "only" 1450€ for the model with ultra 7 processor. good Work, Samsung!
Screen wobble is not much?? you kidding right? I accept its less than last year's model but its definitely noticeable in slightest of movement. Not at all expected of laptop this price. Kindly pass on the feedback to Samsung ,hope they listen to you.

Samsung announced that there’s gonna be Galaxy Book4 series w/ Snapdragon X Elite. That’s the reviews I’m most interested in, especially if they pair them with Nvidia cards.
Apple needs to calm their ego down otherwise its just a matter of few years and no one will touch apple
Sadly, unlike the specs you show, this laptop only goes to 16 GB of ram (not upgradable) and 512 GB of SSD (not replaceable). That pretty much kneecaps it as a device for more technical business professionals.
The worst thing about watching Windows laptop reviews is the inevitable useless comments by apple people.
