    Vipassana can be translated as “Insight,” a clear awareness of exactly what is happening as it happens. In Vipassana mediation, the meditator uses his concentration as a tool by which his awareness can chip away at the wall of illusion that cuts him off from the living light of reality. It is a gradual process of ever-increasing awareness into the inner workings of reality itself.

    To practice awareness of present moment sensations non judgmentally knowing it's our choice, ends suffering. Everyone is in this way responsible for their own anger, fear, anxiety...

    Nitesh i am having question that some time dullnes feeling arise so is it ok to label that doubt arise and then keep on feeling sensation,also how to strengthen equanimity though i am regular practicing it but feedback from u will help a lot

    • @NiteshSharmaVideos
      @NiteshSharmaVideos  Před 2 lety +2

      The equanimity strengthen by itself as your mind becomes more and more purified. First you should notice the quality of thoughts are changing and becoming more and more wholesome, and then slowly you will notice their frequency starts to drop and mind naturally becomes equanimous.
      In my opinion, for dullness/doubt/agitation... labeling and coming back to sensations, is perfectly fine. Although traditionally it is suggest to focus more and more on sensations and just go through other content and discomfort of the mind like dullness, doubt etc even no need to label them.

    I am also a regular meditator. Have done 5 ten day courses. No seva and sati pathan yet.
    From few days I am kind of having a doubt about my progress. As i have seen a video of SN Goenka Guruji’s that, one has to go for long courses in order to come out of the strong mental habit patterns. So to increase my clarity and understanding should I focus on getting more & long courses? I usually go once every year. Should I go more frequent in order to see results?
    I do maintain my daily meditations as taught.

    Hai, I am bit confused due to one of the advices of the teacher...bare with my english and Please take some time and Guide me .....It will be soo much helpful to me....Myself i practice vipassana and anapana meditation... Everyday i am practicing 4 ,5 hours for about 8 months now....before also i practiced but not this consistent
    Involuntary Movements(twisting,turning,trembling, stretching) while meditating...
    which advice should i follow in below two?
    1.) Do I just need to allow(simply not resisting) the movements to happen and just watch my breath or sensations(whatever happens automatically will happen i just watch the sensations of my body as it is thats all). for example, even if my head is looking upside or my body is twisting to stretch my back then also all my focus should be on my breath or else sensations of my body. Allowing all movements without any resistance(not centering my body to ideal(normal) sitting position) and simply looking forward for the sensations which cause that movements in my body and understanding its impermanance. Sometimes I start my meditation session sitting and finish my session lying down on the floor, i just leave my body to whatever heck it does automatically and simply witnessing the sensations of my body.
    or
    2.) If my head rotates to left then i just have to center it to ideal(normal) position; If my back falls down to the surface(nose touching the ground) then i have to sit back straight and then watch my breath or sensations(but this process of centering it to ideal position again and again and again is a total frustration for me, because sometimes it happens every 1 second and while trembling it was just a split second ,how do I center my head to ideal position? ..... I not found my teacher yet, but one of the random teacher i asked in local center advised me this....hard to find good teachers here.... confused due to those teachers here. They don't even talked more and clarify me, they said to me i set my mind to do this all and they said in meditation there is only stillness. I said I worked hard for a year , they said you mixed kundalini and Vipassana. but I dont even practiced kundalini, i just said in youtube i saw a video about involuntary movements there they practiced kundalini ... and also I asked to them while watching the body we focus on the chakras also for few moments right?... They said now we are busy call back after 3 days. Wtf..... It's been 15 days I got no clarity with them. They said start meditation after few days.
    Myself I am just following the first advice. Am I going in the right path?...

    My question is how to overcome lust with the help of vipassana (i do recommend you to please make video)
    And i also want to know how you are overcoming it
    Note-i had done vipassana earlier around 3 years ago and i practiced for 3 to 4 months after vipassana and then because of my irregularities i failed to continued
    But still i feel sensations while doing anapan and i feel like the awareness that was emerged was still not gone so it is very beautiful vidhya and please guide us....

      @nanakveermehta7497 Před 2 lety

      I'm not very experienced but this is what i do when I experience lust or when lust takes over my mind. Whenever there is a sexual thought in my mind it makes me feel a little tensed (in a pleasant way) in my by stomach which makes me keep thinking more about that thought. But when I realise that I'm reacting to that pleasant tensed sensation I quickly become equanimous and start observing the sensation without giving in to it or running away from it. And slowly the power of lust over you wuill reduce over time and the sensation will take less time to go away.
