banks diff cover is the way to go, I have it on my lml. A square body on the old frame with a flat bed would look sick!
Go with the Banks cover. Get it in raw and you can paint it any color you want. The black and purple would look great.

If it were me i would go with ppe rear diff cover but it's honestly not to much purple the frame looks good and Did you do a dpf back exhaust on your l5p ?
With what you plan on doing with the truck I would use the Banks. If you have time watch how his Dif cover was designed.

I would do the banks diff cover purple with the black fin tips. I myself wouldn't do a dump bed because I think it'd ruin it. also, for shows, I would get 22 chromies. the last ti.e you put chromes on it, it looked really good for that purpose.
my big thing is that I wish I had a garage to do this in with my truck. sadly it's not a diesel. it's a 1500 silverado.

Hey Josh. Did you forget the leaf spring pads? I believe they would go in the factory holes at end of the leaf springs ?? Not an expert but it might save the powder coating. Great work on the restoration and keep the awesome content coming !!!!

I personally like the black rims more then chrome so I would stick with the black rims with meaty mud tires. Love the purple keep up the good work can’t wait to see it done!

I'm hoping to do this exact thing to a 79 k10 build. Roughly how much did a sandblast/powdercoat like this cost?
The frame alone with wheels, rear and suspension I’d say around 10k maybe more also powdercoat

I think a square body suburban would come pretty dang close to fitting the old frame I think it’d be sweet you make a sleeper out it if you went that route and I say no dump bed also and it needs some forged wheels for sure with some mud tires the anthem wheels are a good looking wheel but just look to cheap for the build your going for since they are a cast wheel just my opinion
Those anthems are perfect, and banks hydrodynamics in their diff are the best .

How did you remove the rust from inside the crossmembers?
Hey i have a lmm amd at idea with the truck park it smells like un burned fuel and my mileage has gone down, i replaced the fuel because they were leaking and the fuel filter housing, any ideas
It's not to much purple at all you gotta remember it's got a ton of white which also makes either wheel choice look good as well. White almost is like a chrome where it is a neutral color so lots of colors go good with it for sure and with the flake and the suspension parts illusion purple it's gonna look awesome especially in the sunlight driving down the road ! 😀 ❤️🧡💛 the wife and I love the wifemax it's coming along amazing

My lb7 had a non stock rear lift. Can I ask did these trucks come with a stock plate between the rear leaf springs and the axle perch?
I’m not to sure either I’ve seen trucks with and without them, maybe it depends on the truck package it came with when it was new
