Exactly. I also felt the word accepted is quite haughty concerning our Holy Jesus Christ. Receive is a wonderful gift. You draw near to receive the gift and He will draw near to you placing that underserved gift in our hearts. Dr Sproul lives on in his sermons uttered on this earth. How blessed is he being where Jesus is in His Heavenly Kingdom. ❤️

@@lulujordaan1103 feelings lead astray In Proverbs 28:26 it tells us if we trust in our hearts we are fools. Proverbs 12:15 says the way of the fool is right in his own eyes. God gave us our feelings and emotions for a reason. ... Strong, evil emotions may lead to adultery, abusive behaviors, stealing, and other evils. 👍

I am an ELCA Lutheran from South Carolina. Today (January 30, Epiphany 4), Luke 4:21-30 was our Gospel of the Day.
John 3:16-17 says, "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him."
I find Christmas a great time to witness to unsaved family. The true meaning of Christmas is love. God loved His own and provided a way-the only Way-for us to spend eternity with Him. He gave His only Son, the saviour, to take our punishment for our sins. He paid the price in full, and we are free from condemnation when we accept that free gift of love. "But God demonstrated His own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8).
For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
Colossians 1:13-14
Blessed beyond measure that God saved a wretch like me .🙏✝️

So false... I've always loved God. Maybe because I was born in beruit Lebanon in the war and my parents were killed....
Matter of fact we were a Christian community invaded by Palestinian Muslims.
I was a newborn.
I remember God's voice comforting me. 2 Nuns from the Catholic orphanage shapperone me 2 usa. Even after I was adopted I would still hear the Lord and he told me I would grow up and forget all this....
But I replied I would never forget him. Yes Jesus accepted me. I received Jesus by Grace.
Only thing I reject from RC is that we hate God.
Then you reject the Apostle Paul.

@@thimothycollier8464 RC is quoting scripture Thimothy. The Bible tells us that Mary became pregnant through the Holy Spirit (Matthew 1:18) and not through Joseph. Therefore, Joseph can be understood as Jesus’ earthly, adoptive father but not as His biological father as Scripture says.
