Serious concern. Why is the Ligonier Ministries going to conduct it's 2022 conference at a Pro LGBTQ First Baptist Orlando church? Would the late R.C Sproul approve of this?

"New Wineskins"
Kind Sir...
For almost 80 yrs of my being a "Born Again" Christian (I'm 90 now); I didn't really understand what Jesus was saying in Luke 5:33-39. Then I prayed for "Wisdom, Understanding and the Truth". Within days, I understood what Jesus was saying in Luke 5:33-39.
Reason: my bible is a KJV bible; originally published in 1611 AD; by "Elizabethan* Translators"; that used phrases and spellings; that no ones use today. EXCEPT when reading or espousing from the KJV bible. Thus why the New KJV (1982) came about, with OUT those silly Elizabethen words. Thankfully.
So, I wanted a way to learn; in the way we talk and read in "English" IN America today. Not like they spoke and wrote, in the old UK (over 4 Centuries ago). IE:
Luke 5:
33 They said to Jesus, “John’s disciples often fast and pray, and so do the disciples of the Pharisees, but yours go on eating and drinking.”
34 Jesus answered, “Can you make the friends of the bride's groom fast while the groom is with them?
35 But the time will come when the bride's groom will be taken from them; then in those days they can fast."
36 Then, Jesus told them this parable: “No one tears a piece out of a new garment to patch an old garment. Otherwise, they will have torn the new garment, and the patch from the new will not match the old.
37 Thus, no one pours new wine into old wineskins. Otherwise, the new wine will burst the old skins; and the wine will run out; and the wineskins will be ruined.
38 So, new wine must be poured into new wineskins NOW!
39 Because; no one; after drinking old wine wants new wine; for they will say, 'The old is better' ”.
...In any case kind Sir, and Brethren, Please Pray OFTEN and Praise Jesus OFTEN; for He is the ONLY true "God Almighty"; there will ever have been. And may Jesus bless you and yours always. AMEN!
* A NEW silly language; spawned by "Queen Elizabeth I" in England (in 1517 AD); and her "Translators"; to let her have a language; "higher" than the "Commoners" (poor people) speak.
Because (to her) the new language; was more "Poetic" and "Proper" (AKA: "Uppity!"). IE: "Ye, thou, thine, believeth, amongst", and on and on; instead of the normal "espousal's" in the UK. End of Story.
But Paul wrote it using certain prepositions verbs adverbs etc for specific reasons. Like in Galatians 3 22 KJV vs Galatians 3 22 NIV. KJV uses OF. NIV N OTHERS USE IN. OF AND IN HAVE VAST DIFFERENCES. ☮
@@johnnyangel1455 I was NOT talking about Paul's words IN Greek. I was talking about the "English Translators" 1500 yrs AFTER Paul died; into a Language (English) that would NOT have been; until 1200 yrs after Paul died.
Also, the "Elizabethen KJV" is one of the reasons; that there are so many denominations fighting with each other; because each interprets the KJV in far different ways. Sad, but true. In other words, "Hebrew and Greek languages" are perfect languages; however Olden English is so a IM-perfect language; that it has unbelievable errors from what the writers wrote. Sad.
This is why: many newer versions of the bible; came about. Here are the facts.
THE most accurately "word by word" translation; in the world in English; is the "NASB" bible that was first published in 1971. With only one caveat: A word by word translation; is difficult to read; because The English language does NOT arrange "subjects, verbs, adjectives and adverb's"; as most other languages do it. So...
The "phrase by phrase" translation came out in 1973; to get around that quagmire. Thus, the NIV version; IS now THE most accurately translated in the world. Believe it or not. But, sadly and silly Christians hate it; because they think it has lies. That is not true. And they have gone arrogantly; to call it, "Nearly Inspired Version". What foolish children! For...
They are typical of all; who adamantly hold on to lies; because they were taught given things differently. So silly. They are a shameful, satan-led children group; that NEEDS to be spanked. Facts are Facts. Do the research Christians!
Worse, It is impossible to translate ANY language into another language; without errors. And when it comes to Hebrew and Greek into English; the errors are untold; from Genesis to Revelation. Oh indeed.
Even worse: the writers used NO chapters and NO numbered verses. Even worse: there were NO grammatical "punctuations". Not to mention; the grammatical and spelling errors; all over the KJV bible. Sad, but true.
Now Johnny kind Sir, you have had your say; and I have had mine. I shall not again, read or reply to another of your differences of what I believe; because I believe Jesus does not want us to debate or argue. For could I be wrong? ABSOLUTELY Yes!. But SO you could be wrong also...
...So "We will just agree to disagree!". And part our ways...and may Jesus bless you and yours always.
