@@Bird-Nuggetsa dog that I was dog sitting kind of attacked my bird the other day, he was ok but he got shoved on the ground by the dogs paw and he was making a really quiet whistling noise that I could only hear when he was next to my ear :((

@@arctic_north1429 if birds are traumatized or stubborn it takes longer, but usually there's a braver bird out of the two that will obey you more than the other, just be persistent when putting your hand in there with a millet stick.

I got 2 budgies about a month ago and I've been keeping them outside, ine if them flew away so i brought the other inside as I now have to become his friend, I'm getting him a larger cage but he's unhappy and the moment but I know this will be good for him, I want to ket him out to fly but I know he wont come back in but I feel bad because he has ni room to fly, hopefully I will get a larger cage soon. Hey, I have had a female budgie for 6 months, 2 months ago I replaced another female budgie which I didn't realise it was female until she got old. Now this female budgie doesn't get along with the male, she is too attached to me, whenever I walk across the cage she jumps on to me. This makes the male budgie feel lonely as they don't even have any interaction for ages. What to do? please suggest me something.

hello i really need a bit of advice which is should i get my budgie who is under 30 days old just learned to self feed cant fly yet a friend? it's been four days since i got rio (my budgie) and i feel like he is alonely i let him out of his cages and let him eat on my hand and everything but there's a lot of times where he demands to come out but i can't let him out (i can let him out all day but not when im eating,praying etc) he hates staying on his cage when he is not sleepy. i let him listen to some birds chirping noises and he wanted to get closer to the bird through my laptop and that makes me feel like he needs a friend who can accompany him and he won't feel alonely But the problem is my cage is not a good flight cage (its one of those two roof china cage) so when rio starts flying i can let him out and let him fly around i will be able to keep an eye on him and be careful since he is just one bird but it will be a struggle to be careful about 2 birds especially for a house like mine. But at the same time i dont want him to be a lonely BUT if i get another bird if they cant get along i wont be able to keep them in separate cages so its either going to go really well or really bad no in between and another thing is if i have 2 birds i dont think i can tame both of them. AND if iam getting another one should i buy a budgie that is younger than rio or older than rio or the same age?. And should i start taming my budgie now or wait till he learns how to fly ?

This comment is quite late, but i still want to ask. is it still possible to tame your bird if there is two in the cage? and can i do it simultaneously? I don’t have somewhere else in my house where i could move one.
One of my birds flew away so I brought a baby male and baby female and the the one I already had is a almost adult male and both of the males are fighting the the baby but the almost adult and that one also but the baby and now they both are having a hard time to fly I don’t know what to do to stop them from fighting cuz their always fighting for like half the day 😓😟🤯

Hey. My bird Is not eating and chirping or moving, she is just sitting, sometimes she sits in the bottom of the cage. Do you know what it means?? I'm scared if she dies, my mom said it might be pregnant but I don't think so. It's been only 3 years since I got them her, her nose is white. She isn't ready to be pregnant I think. It looks like she was more fat then before, which makes me think she is pregnant but because of nose I don't think so. I'm scared, she isn't flying :( it happened today as she was eating but I think she chocked or something, she was doing the feeding emote (The move that she is about to feed someone like, move her head up and down) every single minute. And when she shaked her head and something hit me in my hip, I think it was the food. She was eating something even tho there was nothing in her mouth. When I told my mom and as she came in my bird stopped doing those and then a minute later she started acting strange 😢😭 pls help if you know!!

If you can reply to this please do. Ive had my bird for at least a year and it’s still scared of me. I put my hand in its cage for 5 minutes daily but it gets terrified whenever i just open the cage door. Ive follows a bunch of your tutorials but my bird just wont trust me. Ive spent countless hours trying to earn it’s trust but nothing ever works. I have 0 idea of what im doing wrong and if you can tell me that’d be great

your female bird is hormonal and will attack your male bird. its better to keep them separate for the time being.

Dear Bird Nuggets, I have a problem I wish for you to address. My budgie just doesn't play with his toys! No matter how many different toys I put in, he refuses to touch them. PLEASE HELP!
My cockatiel was also like this. Every bird is unique and maybe yours doesnt like its toys! So try giving him simple things like paper or cardboard from your hand, it may get it more interested.
Be aware that he may just not like it. But be pacient with it, maybe he is just scared of the toys!

Buy a diaper for the bird. I have a dog and my dad didnt let him go into the living room. I started with maybe 10 centimeters per week before I said to him no and now he is everywhere in the house.

You realize your bird should see mirrors in the first place ,your birds need a flight cage instead of some vision cage and your birds need natural wood perches ,a lot of toys not just 1 toy , pellets instead of seeds
