Ever morning when I walk towards the cage to uncover it I go 'goood mooOrning babies!' and they've started talking back to me and it makes me so frickin happy
Same
Can either of you tell me if I should put the cage up against the wall? Or is it okay to roll it over near my desk and it would be sort of in the middle of the room while I'm working? He mentioned they need to hide and I'm picking them up tomorrow. I just don't want to traumatize them. I'm also waiting for Amazon to deliver a playground area. That I can put on my desk. Hopefully that gets here today, they promised 😂

Hi love for India🇮🇳
From*
From india🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳
Thanks for the information
I love this video so much even though I have watched it on a past publishement on this channel. I got 2 new budgies, they are both under 4 months old and frightened. My cage is vertically long and the cage sides are also vertical constructed so my older budgies can grasp onto them and climb. But the young budgie has a hard time climbing up and her feet are also so tiny. So I have no choice but to help her climb up, she begins running to the top when i try to assist her with my hand, so i place my hands on her feet while she is scared and climbing up. She gives up and sits on my finger when i do this mostly. then I place her on the perch she wanted to sit on. I could take her out and let out all my affection for her cuteness but then i think i need to gain her trust so everytime she gives up and falls on my hand, i will put her on the perch. It is only 3rd day for her here and she is doing better and better each time. I would've never used my hands on such a scared and untamed bird but I just cant help it when she is sqeauking to go to the pereches and tiring herself out getting no where. I need to help her
*edit: I added a ladder but its isnt tall enough for her to get to the perch. may just buy a horizantal constructed cage for her now. I really want to help her as she is small in size, white as snow and alot of her feathers are weak. Today I added brocolli to her diet, and she seems to be enjoying it alot :)
Seriously this really helps❤❤❤
I love ur videos so much
Birds for sure like one person only one of our parrots will chase, bite and tell everyone to go away.except my sister she sat with that bird for hours and he only likes her so really that’s all it takes a nice 2 and a half hour long conversation

I adopted 2, 8 year old budgies about 3 months ago. Their training has been very slow going, one of them very recently put one foot on my hand 😊. Your videos have been a great help, but I was wondering if you had any tips for gaining the trust of older parakeets who are extremely skiddish? I want to be able to let them out of their cage because they would really like to fly around in a big space, so just having them comfortable sitting on my hand will be good enough to allow for that. I can always bribe them back in with food 😂
Pro tip when u buy a bird buy him young like 7 months he is easier to bond with
@@Ali-and-abdulrahman I got my first budgie when he was young but these two were surrendered to the humane society when their previous owner when into hospice, so they are older, very paranoid birds had spent the last month before we adopted them living in a closet. Hey, I have two small budgies and I'm trying to tame them and like you always say taming two birds at once isn't going to work so I was going to get a new cage to put them separately but one of my budgies who always comes on my finger just doesn't like to come down to the door so what do I do??? 😔
Wowww
Hi Salvador budgie. I know you commented back on my comment a while ago and said to give my budgie treats to get it out of my cage but the thing is she doesn’t like millit and veg/fruit. Do u know any other ways to get her out of the cage
Yeah I have two one year old budgies and they are so wild and put only one finger on my hand.
And Im sad that Billie died 😭😭😭😭😭😭 ;(
I want one build and get another Bird patch work I tried to pick it up but not let me does it but I had the cage what would fly away so have some their Fly Away my mum can get there but not
Where can I buy this treat and also what should I feed my bird
I got a young one 3 weeks ago, he's not interested in millet, after quite a few goes, it's now in his cage, veggies I put into his seeds coz he doesn't know what fresh is, I can leave my hand in his cage, he doesn't care, he flew into my tummy yesterday, twice, but flew off a split second later, I think that's a start
I have been trying this!

What do I do if my budgie is afraid of millet?
i know this is a long shot but a budgie walked into my driveway and i cannot locate their owner. i currently don’t have a cage for them but im getting it today, and they are perching in my room on places. does anyone know how i can make them feel more comfortable and take care of them?
How often should I change their food and water
hi! i hope you can reply this it would really help, my budgie has a splayed leg meaning one of his leg are broken but he can still walk he doesnt know how to climb up my hand cause i couldnt teach him when he was still a baby cause his legs were splayed and he cant walk very good, and his flying skills are not very good either he cant aim where he wants to go but he can a lil, so he cant go up to go back to his cage when i need him to, so how am i going to put him back if i pick him up everytime i need him to go back to his cage?
if you reply thank you so so much i love your videos!
My budgie fly away 😭😭😭 he had a very very strong bond with me and now I am too sad
why when i speak in a high baby voice that only some of my budgie look at me weirdly and become alert?
Thank you! It will help me a lot. What do I do about a biting budgie though? I have one and she bites very hard. But she seems relaxed and isn't scared of me, when I enter my hand into the cage, she bites very hard but still eats some food. Any tips for a biting budgie?
Don’t show fear to the bite, they can pick up on that
This channel have a video about what to do with a biting budgie
Birds are territorial animals they probably don’t want you to enter it territory yet and might see u as an intruder, try not to wince when you get bit the channel has a video on that
If she does keep biting, maybe try getting gloves
oh thanks for all the advice. Apparently, she has reduced biting. I don't wince but she bites harder than other budgies for some reason. I mean, I see her biting literally everything she sees. But I will try and do everything I was advised to!
When I get my budgie it will be staying in my room with me since I don’t have another room as an option, but I’m not sure how to bird proof my room,I have things on my walls such as shelves, tapestries, and posters. And my desk has a lot of trinkets and personal things on it,I’m not sure what to do with all of it though! If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated 🫶🫶😭🙏
My bird is about 2-3 years old. He has gone through many phases, but right now he is very social. But he loves these bells, they aren't attached to anything, they just roll around. He loves them so much, but he pukes on them too🤢. He took a while to get used to us, but now, whenever I start to chrip and talk to him, he always is looking for a way to get to me. After a few minutes, ge abd I are chirping together 😀
And if you really want to know, his name is BB
Good I love your bird 🙂

So it’s okay if I adopt one if it isn’t young?
whats that giant rod of seeds called, im only 12 with 4 budgies
Thanks for the tip man it will help but can you do it to alone birds??
also my pfp is my bird :D
It’s actually good to tame a birb alone because it won’t get distracted, but you need to get another birb because they are social creatures and could get into a depression if left all alone
Birds are social creatures, but if you only have one bird, just make sure you spend a little extra time with it. This will also increase the bond between you and your bird.
Where do you get the I think is called millet?🤔
I got my budgie just 4 days ago and he is already getting used to stepping on my finger tho I haven’t put my hand in there daily he lets me pet him
What food is that branch !?
When doing the finger on the perch thing, I've heard people say that you should talk to your bird, and I've heard people say that you should be quiet. Which is it?
Tbh, you should chrip and talk to them. They are social creatures, abd talking to them will help in many ways. It will make them feel calm and safe, and it can also make them learn words. But don't talk to loudly. They get scared by loud noises, so whisper or talk softly.
I need advice! We have a budgie that we have been trying to train for about 18 months. Early on he would play outside his cage and fly around the room. Gradually he became more cage bound. We recently brought home a new budgie and our first was very happy. Playing with the new budgie, flying around the room and playing. This lasted 2-3 days then he returned to his cage refusing to come out again. What can I do to help my first budgie adapt? Please help. Thank you.
Give the bird some things to do outside. Put some food, water, toys, and perches for them to use
Thank you. I’ll try that.
I will buy a budgie and when should I give him treats
I got 2 lovebirds and one (the female) is kinda skittish and the other one (the male) just loves human companionship and when he's out of his cage will come chill on my head or eat with us (he gets his own little plate at the dining table since he started coming to ours to eat our food. Both our favorite foods is spaghetti bolognese which makes it even cuter). The female however had to be taken to the vet without her being trained in advance so we really had to capture it.. Was really sorry for the bird but it needed treatment. She's slowly coming out of her shell by accepting treats from us when she's sitting near. Hope to achieve the same behavior as with our male. Slowly but surely earning trust.
What should I do? I have fall ceiling in my house but I want to take my birds out I can put a harness on them or what ? Please tell
Same, I have a ceiling fan too, but nothing can be done about it........
The only solution is turning the fan off while it is out, ik it's tough in summers, very tough, for that time I suggest a hand fan or u could use a air conditioner ig....
Harness? A bad idea,
Harness is a bit of a controlling device, not at all advised, especially in a room
Besides, Harness taming is a huge, huge headache, might take a loooooooot of time, but then again it's not a solution....
Be VERY CAREFUL while leaving a bird in a room with a ceiling fan.....
I have an incident....
So my cousin sis also owns budgies like me, so she left them out of their cage in the room, and my uncle aka her father came into the room and he didn't knew that birds were out and turned the fan on and my sis was not there, later when she came she realized and of her birds got injured, but it was not severe....
But u should not stop it from leaving the cage just bcuz of a ceiling fan, just be careful
@@User46760 no i meant i had a false ceiling not ceiling fan

Hello, are A4 copy papers safe for birds? I don’t want to spend my money on chewing toys for birds, but my bird is craving something to chew
You need to buy chewing toys you shouldnt get a bird if you dont want to or cant provide what it needs its harsh but its the truth
Tysm my birds are not trusting me that much when i want to grab them they keep running but after some time they will come but at least they are not scared from me
Why would your bird trust you when you try to garb them
You cant grab them even when you gain their trust, so its best to teach them how to sit on your hand. Not putting your hand over them like a predator
Kakashi Sensei also when i try to but my finger at first they run away but at the end they step i dont grab them
Maybe try just putting your hand in the cage. Don't try to grab them ir pick them up, just put it in there while they are in the cage. Stay there for about five to seven min every day. This will make them feel comfortable and safe. Once they are completely comfortable, try again. Remember, every bird is different, so it may be quick or it will take some time. Just be patient, and they'll get on your hand soon enough
(Also pls note that he does explain these in other videos, i am merely passing on the info 😶

Now they refuse to let me touch them and flip out when I clean their cage or change their food and water bowls
Hey salvador: there is a difference between grabbing and just picking up your bird right?
Grabbing, is a forceful action, you will almost certainly lose its trust.
Picking it up against its will also cause it to distrust you

I have had Crypto for a year now, and I only discovered your amazing channel 5 months ago and I didn't know you should first tame him in his cage before you let him out. Ok, so last year my next door neighbour asked me if I want Crypto, I said yes, but the next day my neighbour told me he was a little bit sick, he was 5 weeks old and could eat by himself, at that time he was tamed and sat on your hand, but because he was sick they had to treat him, and they had to grab him. Now it is a year later and he only sits on my shoulder and if I have bird safe food in my hand he will eat out of my hand, but he won't perch my hand or finger. He has a large playground, he is out the whole day, he is in my room where I am, so he is out and spend the whole day with me. I spend a lot of time wit him. So can you help me tame my budgie. I watch your videos every week, I LOVE your channel and your budgies. I wish my Crypto was as tamed as your Neo. Crypto is as playful as Neo, he loves mirrors, loves playing around, chew every thing he sees and loves cos lettuce (romaine lettuce).

I have been feeding my budgie for about a week. I would remove his food, and wait untill its hungry. First two days it took like 30 minutes for him, to come close to my hand. Now, I position my hand inside the cage that way, that he has to climb on it. Im repeating this daily, until he feels comfortable to go out of cage. It's a slow process, but we are moving forward :).
