QUESTION: If your bird bites you, but in a playful way and it feels comfortable around you, but it nips at you whenever it gets close to you, is it still a bad sign? Example: my parakeet flies over to me just so it can nip at my fingers- I’m not sure if it’s because I make kissing gestures at it and it mistakes it for biting so it does the same, or if I messed up somewhere. Edit: My bird still bites even when I come to it, but in a playful way, not really snappy. Is this the same case as what they talk about in the video?

I freakin know how to tame a bird thanks to this video and the other video I'm just to busy to do it even if I want to I can't. This will take me 2 years to build a trust, or i think i will just let him fly to freedom

Edit: even if put my bird in a cage the whole time, it’s for his safety. My parents dont have blinds, and he hits his beak on the windows. I’m watching this to learn how to tame my birb, because he bites very hard. Thank you for this amazing advice video, nugget.

I recently bought 2 buggies..one of them died just after some hours when i bought it then i didn't wanted to let the other bird stay alone so i bought one more and after that too died due in 2 weeks due to respiratory issues, i was so sad and didn't bought other bird but after 1 month of living with just one buggie i thought to bring one more and i did but it bites me a lot didn't want me to touch it idk what to do
I need help My bird loves me, just doesn't like interacting with me sometimes, I have to grab her to go downstairs (since I got other animals). She wasn't let out for 6 months but now I let her out every day if I can. (My bird is a budgerigar, and she is 2yrs old her name is Skylar).

It depends. If it shows signs of fear, you should let it adjust for a couple of days. If it is fine and letting you pet it, keep going slow and use the bonding tricks

Same here. I have watched so many videos. Before I got my parakeet I bought training videos by the bird tricks people. After a year, my parakeet still won’t eat millet from me. He doesn’t try to bite us thank goodness. He flies around us and seems to be happy but doesn’t want anything to do with me. We bought another one two days ago and this one seems less scared of us. Hoping this bird is more friendly and hopefully be a friend with my first budgie. Good luck!!
