- We have been excited about this one for a while. The Fujifilm X-T30 is finally here and it's everything we expected it to be. The Fujifilm X-T30 borrows the best elements of the Fujifilm X-T3, slams it into something half the size and at a very attractive price point. Andrew took this one out to the streets of Sydney to give it a whirl.

So X-T3 or X-T30?
Purchase the Fujifilm X-T30 today: bit.ly/2UK4ZGb
X-T3 for sure, best video camera in its price range, much more value then GH5 or GH5s.. FHD 120 fps with 200 MB/s .. 4K 60 fps with 400 MB/s but you need a fast card
which lens should I get on Fujifilm XT30 beside 16-55mm?
@@theaahikt I'll be looking to get Fujifilm XF 35mm f/1.4 as well as Fujifilm XF18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 R LM OIS WR, but thats about mid year, and for X-T3, mainly concentrating for video, as a personal choice.. Others may have a better idea that already have one. i did hear that all Fujifilm lenses are very good.
thank you for that, but which lens is capable for both portrait and landscape?
@@theaahikt This video should explain it czcams.com/video/Vtdrn6tOYkY/video.html
Ordered this camera on Monday and got it today(Tuesday). Great services from George’s. Very happy with the camera.
Excelent review, I am right now deciding betwin an X-T3 and an X-T30 and you clarified myself. Thanks a lot!
I'm excited for this camera and can't wait for it to arrive tomorrow. Been watching every review and comparison on this little beast that I could find as they get released. Great quick review!
Paul Antill the same for me - hundreds of articles and reviews :D but one week ago i finally had in hands both xt3 and xt30 and smaller body is better for me - already ordered :)
You don't have to use the Q menu for the ISO; pushing the front dial switches between Aperture and ISO (I believe this is the default setup, if not it's easily configurable). I personally also disable the top SS wheel by setting it to 'T', so front and rear dials are all you need to control A, S and ISO, and act like most DSLR cameras with two dials.
Another option is assigning the Q button or any Fn button to ISO, in which case you get a real-time preview of the ISO while you rotate the dial.
"So like the XT3, the Fuji XT30 houses the best parts of the XT3"
Yes I have recently purchased at xt30. It has put fun back into my photography. I also own Nikon D850and D500 with lots of glass, excellent cameras but nothing like walking around the city with this little camera with out a care in the world! O yes liked the video!
Easy to use iso on a front roller. I do not miss a top dial for it...
Pretty sure that the front/rear command dials can be set directly for ISO (i.e. no menu diving).
The AF is better than the X-T3; at least until the X-T3 receives f/w.
The video bit rates and durations are lower than the X-T3 due to the tight chassis, and I'm not sure if all the high end video options are available. (It does have 10-bit HDMI output, though, which is unique for the price-point.)
The X-T3 has a battery grip option.
Well review, Which camera did you use for this video?
Hey georges: love your vids but i’m still undecided between the XT30 or the LX100 mark 2..any advice?
I'm still down for the X-t30
nice review
Got the 1st like ... yes!
Which model camera u use to ur this video? It’s a colorful
nice review...do not like the joystick...I think it is easier to break than a d-pad
Very good camera but I went for the X-T2 since the prices droped a lot (paid 610euro for used body in semi new conditions) which has pretty much the same photo quality but a better grip and WR.
Imo if you don't care about video, go fro XT2 it's and amazing value for money atm.
A. A. Grip on xt2/xt3 is nothing special unfortunately...
Noise avoid maximum iso range?
Good video but $1600 and no IBS..? Nope 👎! Canon M-50 seems like a really good deal the more camera review videos I watch! What’s the battery life? I love your scripting. Very well organized. You really did a great job getting all the info out quick while covering all the major features.
For image quality, nikon d7500 or fuji xt30
Your video is shot at Queens Street, Brisbane?
Hiiiii I miss Sydney life ㅠㅠㅠ
Good review!
How do you find the viewfinder? Especially from a glasses wearer.
As for my experience, its fine.. i got the xt20 and i use eyeglasses
I never use evf for mirrorless. They just can't match DSLR in that area.
hi, what do you call that monopod your are using to shoot videos and the intro thanks
I think you may be reffering to a gimbal stabiliser?
I prefer to buy X-E3 and DJI Osmo Pocket 😁
i just got a x-t30 with a 23 mm lens is the A on the aperture ring have to be selected for full auto
I think the A puts it in aperture priority
Can't beat X-T3, so much more to it, worth the extra $$$, latest firmware upgrade stopped 4GB limit for video, now its constant..
@Seiishu I had a quick look, and 4GB cap only works if your SD card is bigger then 32GB, anything smaller it splits the recording in 4GB files, I can not find info on time period of a recording, however, I always thought due to complexity of compression v data write v body size, is why there is a time limit, which 4GB file eliminated in a simple way (stop files getting corrupted), if I was to guess I would say 30 minute time limit, and, really I am fine with that, if yore doing movie/video production, very rarely you would exceed that limit.
X-T3 vs X-T30 depends on what you value most, in the end I opted for the 30. Substantial £500 difference here in the UK with the 18-55 kit lens. X-T3 is bigger so slightly easier to hold but not as portable, has a weather sealed magnesium body, dual card slots, 60fps 4K 400mbps, and a few extra buttons/dials. X-T30 is more compact, notably lighter, built in flash, and features the auto mode with scene detection. If the X-T3 has the flash and auto modes I’d have been very tempted, but for £500 I can also get myself a decent prime lens to compliment the set.
If it had in body stabilation it would be perfect
What do you need ibis for? If you are a videographer buy a gimbal, if you are a photographer IBIS isn’t needed.
Indeed, that plus 4k 60fs. I don't use gimbals nor tripods, so very useful to me. I hope a X-T40 will finally offer all that I want and I need. I'm on the move and need to travel ultralight.
Art yes i do. Lumix and sony found a way though
Hi guys do u have any sale on the xe3? Or xt30?
Gotta love those dope socks on dat dude behind you...
Great video! How big of a deal is the fact that it isn't weather sealed. Because I live in the Netherlands and the weather isn't ideal most of the time(lotta rain). I wanted to buy the X-T3 but when the X-T30 came it changed my mind. Now im doubting, i dont want my camera to die on me when its gets a little bit wet.. ( btw im just starting as a photographer ). Thanks in advance!
then get the x-t3 or even the x-t2 for cheap
@@mougabo that doesn't answer the question
I decided I want to be a photographer. Would this make a good first camera? I want to make money not just a hobby. Street photography and portraits etc...
I’d say yes it definitely is you can use it in auto mode or take it a slow and eventually use more of its features. It has the same quality as the xt3 which is considered more of a pro camera. Only thing I’d say is honestly you can take some pretty good pics with most fuji cameras and cameras in general now a days what makes a big difference is the lens invest in some good ones.
Hey Dear... Can you recommend me which lens should you first buy for Fujifilm X-T30?
23mm 1.4 :)
@@TozluAi 23mm f2 has much faster focus, lighter, smaller, cheaper. the extra stop isnt worth it tbh
The best hand quality photo is the Sony A6300 and the Fujifilm XT30
wot
hand? you mean high?
A6400....
D-pad was way better than this wobbly joystick
What camera is better for photography, xt-30 or sony a6400?
Дмитрий К. I think xt30 even though it has a limited time of filming but 6400 has terrible rolling shutter
Are you from HK?
Sydney :)
Went to the Fujifilm store with cash to buy the Fujifilm xt30 but returned without it
Why?
1) The electronic viewfinder is BAD...blurry and grainy.
2) There is lot of lag if you move the camera viewing through the EVF
3) Its too small for even medium sized ladies hands
4) You are bound to click on the buttons on the back accidentally.
5) The diopter correction dial is too small to use
6) It was a total disappointment for me
I checked Sony A6400 and it was leaps and bound ahead of Fujifilm XT30, it will certainly be a better buy!
Thank you for this detailed review. 💜
I legit just got the xt20. wat da fuq.
Don't worry xt20 is an amazing camera.
U need a co anchor/ host to add some entertainment value/ eyecandy
