Another great comparison video, man! I love that you're still giving love to the GX9 - such a great and under-appreciated camera. You make such clear and solid arguments for it, especially for travel and street work. Cheers!
Thank you, it is indeed underrated camera, also because of the naming.
Excellent review of two great cameras. And those sample test shots are amazing.
Thank you!
Excellent and accurate review. I appreiate every point you've made. Thanks!
Just got GX9 after 7 years of Nikon DSLRs... What a camera. Impressive from stabilisation through to compactness. Thanks!
I'm glad that you like it!
Thanks for another great review. I shoot with the GX-85 and 20mm f1.7. I'm loving it.
You're welcome, that is indeed very good combination.
A good video, thank you.
I use a GX80 as my smaller camera and have found it excellent .
I'm probably going to buy GX9.
I love using the Leica 15mm 1.7
It's a fantastic lens.
Both cameras are fantastic though.
I've been tempted with the Fuji system for years.
Excellent video.. As usual!
Was at B&H Photo here in New York yesterday and checked out the GX9. It's very nice! Not as robustly built as my GX8, but it's very close. Supposedly, the GX9 actually has better image quality due to a better Venus engine and no low-pass filter. The only thing it really doesn't have are the extra function buttons. Which I don't use that much anyway.
I'll be selling my GX8 to help finance the purchase of a G9 and eventually, buy a GX9 for street and travel photography.
Keep up the great work!
Ricardo Gomez that’s exactly what I did! Sold GX8 for a G9 then added GX9 a bit later for travel. I’m happy.
Thanks as always. Great review. I have iinvested in the Linux system which I like very much and wondered if there is anything to be gained by switching to Fiji.so this has been really informative
Thank you, I'm glad that it was informative!
Yes ‘…both are great fun to use…’ totally agree, that what really matters, loving my GX9 for every day use from the pocket or just with a hand strap, under rated for street, get the settings right and custom set them and never miss a shot. Use the elec shutter and rear touchscreen AF, screen tilted and shoot from the hip, nobody notices, all good. Andrew very good review, love your channel for its quick moving straight talk. 👏
Hello, thanks for the very cool comparisons! Looking closely at the GX 9, please tell me for what scenarios is the Leica 20mm lens suitable? You may have spoken in the video, but sorry for my weak English)
Excellent review. For my needs, I probably would choose XT30. I have been into macro, astro, and nature. The larger sensor not only means better dynamic range, but easier to achieve shallow depth of field and Fuji has what is probably better performance when taking uncompressed photos. The Fuji has most of the benefits of it’s much mire expensive XT3. The GX9 would be better if not using any support, especially in lowlight.
Really practical comparison! I am a GF8 user thinking about X-T30 or GX9. Thanks for the inspiration 🙂
Thank you, I hope that it was helpful!
I bought a G9 which is really great and includes all features. But always when I watch your GX9 reviews it appears so attractive, handy, neat compact camera that I ask if I shouldn’t have gotten It instead G9 ;-)
Well made reviews!
Thank you, that depends mostly on how do you use it, both are great cameras in respective categories.
Awesome real life usage review. Thank you very much
You're welcome, thank you for watching and for your feedback!
Very thorough review as always. Thanks
You're welcome!
Great comparison. Subscribed!
Thank you, I appreciate your subscription!
Early 2021: just sent a camera back after trying it out (Fuji...). Waiting for Panasonic to come out with something new (rangefinder inspired style, i.e. viewfinder in upper lefthand corner) while thinking it might never happen. Have the gx8 ever since it was released, but might pick up the gx9 after all this time after all, and it would not surprise me if it turns out to be good enough.
Thanks for your insight and excellent review. Jan.
You're welcome! I probably wouldn't get my hopes up when it comes to future M43 releases.
As a Fuji and now Lumix MFT user, a very balanced review. For general travel use I think the Gx9 has the edge with image stabilisation, and (for me) the 4K Photo modes. But I can easily see that for other purposes and personal preferences the X-T30 has a lot going for it.
Yes, you probably can't go wrong with either, both have their advantages.
great review! Just got my X-T30, a great camera! X-T30 USB port is also a headphone out when using a USB C to 3.5mm adaptor. Cheers!
Thank you, that might be useful, although I'm not sure how many people will use that on this camera.
This is a very helpful comparison. Thank you :)
Great comparison vid. Keep it up!
Thank you!
These are super comprehensive , detailed, and nicely illustrated reviews. Very useful. Well done!
Thank you, I'm glad that you like my videos!
great comparison! I use the GX80 and love it a lot! the in-body stabilisation works great with vintage lenses :)
Wow same I have the panasonic gx80 aswell! And I use minolta md rokkor lenses on it!
@@To_Anything I love my GX85. IBIS is so convenient. No mic input though. Big disappointment. Just purchased used XT30. Will see if I can do video with 18-55 lens stabilization.

@@martingreenberg870 I'm interested in buying an XT30, how did you find the video tests with lenses that had stabilisation?
@@deckard_2049 Dane the OIS lenses work well with the XT30. Of course I prefer

Excellent review, I love it, what about leica 25mm f1.4
Thank you, unfortunately I haven't used that one.
Your reviews continue to be terrific. Thank you so much
You're welcome, thank you for watching and for your feedback!
Yes but he didn’t say Hello😕
Hey, good review! If you prefer non-fullframe cameras, then Panasonic and Fuji are really hard to look past.
Btw, seen the latest on-hand pictures of the panasonic 10-25mm? (43-rumors)
What do you think about it?
Thank you, yes, I have seen it, it is very interesting focal range, so I am definitely looking forward to that one.
Hey! Loving the videos, been working my way through your stuff. Would love to know your thoughts... I have a GX7 with a few lenses (PL 25mm f1.4, 7-14mm f4, 20mm 1.7 mk1 and a 12-60mm kit lens) and am thinking of an upgrade. Would you a) go for the G9 and stick to current lenses for the time being or b) get a GX9 and spend the difference in price on a new lens (like the 15mm f1.7)?
I shoot mostly photos for fun but might start shooting some video in the near future. Any thoughts would be appreciated!
I would suggest go for GX9 and spend the rest on that lens. Since you don't go pro G9 does not offer very much on top for casual shooter. There is also available Panasonic DMW-HGR2GU-K handgrip for GX9.
Oli Johnson I’ve been wondering the same. I also have a GX7 and wonder whether it’s a “huge jump” or a “nice to have” upgrade to the GX9...
There is also Panasonic DMW-HGR2GU-K handgrip for GX9 available on the market. Really cool handgrip I strongly recommend that.
Very good review. Thank you.
You're welcome, thank you for watching!
Nice vid 👌 I've already had xt2 paired with xf18-55mm and 35mm f2. I like 35mm f2 more (for photo) , but when recording video (my kids) it's too shaky. My only option when recording is swapping the lens to 18-55mm. I just want to use one camera + one lens that can do stills and videos at the same time without swapping lenses. I'm considering GX9 with DG summilux 15mm f1.7. Do you think it's a good idea to sell my xt2 and go for gx9? Or maybe just sticking with my xt2+xf18-55?
Thanks
Very good question! Did you find an answer ?
great review!
Thank you!
I know this is an old video but just noticed this was done in Algiers. Just a wonderful place!!
Thanks for this enjoyable, informative and objective comparison. Another thumbs up from me!👍🏻
Thank you!
Excellent video! Question, do you think the autofocus on the GX9 is sufficient for taking pics of children running around or a good family camera?
To be honest I have never tried to take pictures of running children, but I think that it should be sufficient.
@@TheHybridShooter Thanks a lot for the feedback!
I take the fuji it has 26mp and the color nice .. thanks great vedio
I love everything about the GX9 specially the price. But, I need a camera with microphone capabilities. What other cameras do you think would be similar to the gx9 with the microphone port? I love taking traveling pictures and I would like to start vlogging. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciate it!!
G90, A6500 / A6400, and X-T30 are probably the most valid options with mic input.
What do you think about the Panasonic GX85?
I got an open box deal with two lenses for $415 and I find the video/photo quality to be superb.
Your videos are always so outstanding!
Thank you, it is also very good camera and great budget option.
No, GX85 is not weather sealed.
@fukthegoog You mean the GX8
I have watched and rewatched many of your reviews - they are fantastic and super helpful. I'm considering the GX9 as well as some mid-range Fuji's, X-T30/X-E3/X-E4. Do you think it's a risk to invest in MFT at this point in time? MFT is easier in the wallet but perhaps not future-proofed.
Thank you! If you are choosing a system for long-term use, investing in M43 is not a good idea. If you would use GX9 with one or two lenses, it is still a good choice. Fuji is a better choice though.
@@TheHybridShooter Thank you!
Many people have being saying m43 is dead or dying for nearly 10 years. It’s still going strong.
@@andrewbaxter9395 FWIW, I bought the GX9.
@@TheHybridShooter
False. I just bought the GH5 mark ll and that is an incredible MFT camera with C4k 422 10 bit 30, 24p and 420 10 bit in 60fps with NO CROP in any mode!! Long live the MFT!
thanks!!!
How do these lenses compare, I mean the 18-55 vs the 12-60 - do you have any clear winners here?
Dope video! Have a question here, should I wait for the XT30, or buy XT3\XT2\XT20 ? I'm so so confused now, pursue new models or save money on old models.
X-T3 is definitely the most capable APS-C Fuji, so if your budget allows it, it is the best one.
@@TheHybridShooter Thanks for replying. I'm a canon DSLR shooter and I'm thinking to switch to mirrorless, but is unsure to step in Fuji or Sony ecosystem, for you personally, you prefer Fuji XT-3 or Sony A7III?
Take a look at my comparison video: bit.ly/A7IIIvsXT3
Great comparison! I have gx9 it's with 12-32mm kit lens, it's very good but how you can shoot with 1 "sec whitout get some blurry image?; O Whit DUAL IS on I can't even do it at 0.5sec (90% of time get blurried image) i can only do with 0.25sec shooting speed (but sometime get a little blurried too), I don't think I have such "trembling hands" ç__ç, my camera doesen't work well? i tryed to put OFF stabilization and I don't see so much difference
One clarification: image stabilization doesn't work with a moving subject, high ISO does. How that applies to one's shooting depends on the range of subjects, but they are not equivalent in general. For video, IS is more of a must have, but can also be done in post at the cost of some cropping. For motion blurred subjects, there is no post. Thanks for the helpful review.
Great review my friend. Do you know if the gx9 has a record time limit in 4k?
Thank you, yes there is, but I don't remember exact time limit.
Very good. Fuji shooter but makes me want to take a 2nd look at M 4/3.
@@techguyml Which Model have you used?
11:27 the Fujifilm battery has Panasonic logo on it lol. Nice to see companies working together in different fields.
I like your excellent reviews, like this one. Thanks. I will subscribe to your channel.
I am very interested in the XT30. But your comparison reconfirmed my "love" for my Panasonic GX80 (more or less the same as the GX9).
Both camera's are great. Differences between video quality and photo's are relatively small for me. For me a good camera is the one that handles best. I will skip the XT30 and go on with my 3 year old GX80. The excellent IBIS (most important for me), better menu structure, better screen, issues on Lightroom with Fuji files and the 4 Lumix lenses I have, are my main reasons.
But for a first camera the Xt30 would be fine too.
Thank you, GX80 is still a great camera. BTW there are no Lightroom issues with X-Trans anymore, I have showed that in some videos.
@@TheHybridShooter Thanks, I will check your videos about X-Trans
I really can't get me to like the Gx9 interface and button placement having it side by side with an EM5 mkII, but you probably saved me some money with this video since I was thinking of getting rid of the GX9 for the new fuji X-T30: looking at this review it seems handling is not better, viewfinder is probably even worse then on the gx9 and the gain it can give in low light it's not significant due to lack of stabilization. Building quality also doesn't seems to impress you on the Fuji compared with the GX9 which is already nothing to cry home about. Better keep on the m43 ecosystem and hope for finally a new BSI m43 sensor able to improve to some extent low light capability. I know FF is way better in this regard but the lenses are too large and bulky for me.
You probably need a bigger camera in that case. These are not mean to have no-compromise handling, since the portability is also priority here.
BTW, did you find any mean to make the rear wheel on the GX9 working when set in aperture priority? I'd really like to be able to set it to ISO control but I don't know how!
@@Leptospirosi ftp://ftp.panasonic.com/camera/om/dc-gx9_en_adv_om.pdf page 48..49, actually press rear dial and then menu/set to choose the mode of the wheel.
helo.. can you recomend me to choose one should I get, sigma 16mm f1.4 or panaleica 25mm f1.4 ? (same budged) help me, I love the shaprest lens and emage quality for filming and concert photography in the night🙏🏻 my main camera is gx9

yes, there is Cinemalike D
do a review of the canon 20d in 2019, i think it would be cool :D
hi, do you think there was any substantial improvement over the G85? ... a faster follow-up approach would be great
Yes, I think so. I don't know what do you mean by "faster follow-up approach".
@@TheHybridShooter Hahaha I don't speak English, I must be the translator ... I mean to photograph more heights or children in motion ... speed of focus maybe
This great review helped me out because I've been thinking which to buy. X-T30 has awesome color reproductivity and bigger sensor. On the other hand, GX9 has powerful image stabilization and more compact lens system. Thank you for the awesome comparison through the eyes of daily and practical use!
Thank you, I'm glad that this video was helpful to you!
Well delivered comparison of the two models thanks. That older Panasonic holds up quite well against a new camera with most of the guts of the X-T3.
Thank you, both are indeed great cameras, with different advantages.
good review, If I want to buy a new camera, your idear XT30 and Gx9 which one is better, can you recommend for me?
Well, that is what this video is about...
Are u going to review sony a6400?
I'm not sure, but it is possible.
Awesome review. I prefer gx9 for IBIS, less price and great Panasonic 20mm lens(almost Leica quality ) and it’s price is around $200 .
Thank you, those are indeed big advantages of the GX9, although the X-T30 has different advantages.
20mm f1.7 is an excellent lens.
The Hybrid Shooter yap XT-30 good for video and would be better if they permit sigma for lens as like Sony apsc (sigma 16,30,56).

Nice man👍
Thank you!
What i kinda want is for Fuji to get into MFT, I know they've been primarily APS-C but imo MFT and Medium format are really the only 2 extremes you need, with the Great IBIS of MFT systems and how quick tech can trickle into MFT i feel like it makes a lot more sense.
Everybody is abandoning MTF, so it is basically guaranteed that there will be no Fuji MFT cameras.
@@TheHybridShooter idk about that ~Given the success of the P4k and Zcam e2 there seems to be a lot of room for growth
There is much more room for growth in other systems. Both Blackmagic and Z-cam are leaving M43 as well.
@@TheHybridShooter Idk about leaving, Zcam just added the new e2-m4 afterall~ & ToF sensors are coming along w/ some new RGB MFT global sensors that Sony is producing
@@TheHybridShooter Not to mention both Laowa and Yongnuo joined the MFT alliance earlier this year ~
I have gravitated towards many of the same cameras that you own even without seeing some of your reviews. (D5500, d500, g85, gx85, and recently a6500) So, I assume our shooting preferences are similar and would like your opinion. I want to have a video camera at home for office videos and a separate camera I can take out and shoot some hand held/cinematic videos, but mostly (70%) will be stable video (real estate, interviews, etccc.) I picked up an a6500 just today for a steal of a deal but haven't used it much yet. Would you recommend me sell everything and pick up a g95 for vlogging and out and about usage and a gh5 for office video and professional real estate? Or should I just keep the a6500 and sell everything else and get a gh5 and use it in conjunction? Would the colors be too far off? Easier to use same system? Any benefit for having that larger sensor for certain situations or will the gh5 be fine? Thanks in advance!
G95 has that crop in 4K video, so keep that in mind if you intend to shoot interiors a lot. Larger sensor definitely has some advantages, especially the dynamic range and low light performance, so A7 III might also be worth considering if you already have A6500. I made comparison of A7 III and GH5 recently, that might help you: bit.ly/A7IIIvsGH5
The Hybrid Shooter thank you very much!
To battery life lumix gx9 , is durable ?
I recommand buying some extra batteries, more or less 150/200 shots per battery
How big can you go when printing pics on the gx9
That depends on the viewing distance.
Check out this video, where The School of Photography compares the MFT 20.4mp sensor (in the GX9) to a full frame 30.4mp sensor. He prints both at 1 meter and they look identical. czcams.com/video/OGn3yPl59ZM/video.html

Cant decide it yet. I have a hard time to choose between Gx85 or Fuji XT30. I making a video and shoot photo. What do you think ?
GX85 is much older camera and therefore not a competitor of X-T30. I recommend choosing between GX9 and X-T30.
Thnks dude im going for the price , Gx85 still ok for me. Im pretty confident about the video result. What about photo ? I like fuji tone. Its really hard. Help me
X-T30 is much better camera than GX85 due to the age and price difference, if you are choosing between those.
@@TheHybridShooter ok thanks man. Appreciate dat
@@iwanlay2020 Hi.. just curious, which one you end up buying? because I'm still confused to choose between the XT30 and GX9 haha..
Is it a good idea to buy gx9 now? I’m afraid that gx10 is coming soon.
According to my sources, GX10 rumors are fake, GX9 is still a great camera in 2020.
I just cannot decide what system to buy into... Coming from the lumix G7 I kinda want to sell it off and get the g85 just to get weathersealing and ibis; but when selling I started looking at other mounts and systems... Spoiled for choices all have ups and downs.
That is indeed very difficult choice nowadays, but the good news is that you can't really go wrong with either.
What complaints do you have about MFT? I think it's amazing. Does everything most of us need, prints large, the lenses are smaller, there are more of them than for any other system (something like 100 vs Fuji's 50) and the cameras seem to have the most tech packed into them.
When you have a body with IBIS it is a game changer - you should definetly try it. I have had G7 for a while and main drawback was the lack of IBIS. G85 is an awesome choice because of what you get for the price - it is insanely attractive nowadays. Probably the best price/features ratio of all cameras on the market today. If you have invested in MFT lenses already I see no point going into different system because you almost get no advantage in real life (oh maybe if you have very special demands that only some other camera can fulfill). If you don't have a good stable of lenses you have a great opportunity to try anything is available. But again in real life you can't find better IBIS than the one found in modern m4/3 cameras and it is really important feature that you find valuable for sure on a daily basis, whether it is photography or video. Build quality of G85 is much, much better than you can find with G7 - different league despite very low price of G85 now. Good luck with your decisions, it is not easy!
@@keith_pictures Low light. Even with my 20mm f1.7 I am definitely not a fan of my lumix g7's lowlight capabilities. I got this setup on my balcony where I control my camera from the panasonic phone app and I shoot birds while I study... but I'm lacking the light for a good enough shutter speed unless I open to 1.7 which it's wayyy too shallow depth of field.
I'm just dreaming of better low light, but apsc won't get me that; full frame will and that's probably too expensive unless I get an a7ii with some sigma glass.
I think if I had the g80 I wouldn't complain at all since it is quite a bit sharper, has ibis which makes it viable for handhold filming, and weathersealed so I could bring it no issue on walks in the rain.
@@TheHybridShooter a6400, used a7ii, x-t30, used x-t2, g80... There are just so much to choose. Had I the g80 I wouldn't complain. I really really enjoy using my g80, but the ibis and weathersealing would do quite a lot for my thirst for better gear.
Thanks for sharing.. I find AFS/AFC/MF switch and VDO record on GX9 is in the much better place than XT30.. GX9's simplier to use..
How do you compare Fuji 18_55/2.8-4.0 vs PanaLeica 12_60/2.8-4.0?
Leica 12-60 is significantly better lens, but it is not a fair comparison due to the price.
I would say great locations for the Gx9
Yes, indeed, I will try to take the X-T30 somewhere nice as well.
How well would GX9 focus using Olympus lenses?
I don't know, I have never used it with Olympus lenses.
@@TheHybridShooterI assume the DFD predictive feature of the AF wouldn't work with an Olympus lens on Panasonic camera. The reason I asked is that I am currently an Olympus camera and lens user who owns a lot of Oly lenses, but I'm interested in buying a GX9 or GX10 body.
I would probably go with the new Olympus PEN E-P7 in that case.
Tough call. What makes it harder is most cameras being produced these days are very good! I cancelled my a6400 preorder for the xt30 instead.
Indeed, but fortunately, you can't really go wrong with either.
I love Lumix and Fujifilm but the thing that makes me not interested in buying any camera is the price of lenses.
Actually I think that both have great budget lens options.
Fuji has the f.2 prime lenses and the 18-55 f2.8 - f4 zoom lens... all can be had for under $400 each. Great value and performance.
Notice when you spend some money on a good lens it keeps it value over some time or buy a used one with Warranty left...
m43 have the clear advantage with the compactness of the pancake panasonic 20mm f1.7, you could have emphasized that there is no such tiny lens on xt30. thanks for the review
Fuji also has very compact lenses like the 23mm F2 or 35mm F2, so the advantage is not that big in that regard.
@@TheHybridShooter you are correct, i did not research enough there is the fuji 27mm f2.8 and not the 23mmf2 or the 35mmf2 (these 2 are not pancakes, they will not fit in a pocket like a pancake does)

Just a question around 2:50 .. is Fuji underexposing so much?? GX9 @ 1600 iso has even more stops of light than X-t30 @ 3200, really dark image on Fuji :/ wrong settings or reality?
Settings are same, but the real sensitivity is different at given ISO.
@@TheHybridShooter that's a huge difference, way too much!! I like x-h1 but so the downloaded raw at 3200/6400 are not comparable in bad condition with my D610 where you can't go longer with shutter time. Seems clean and similar the x-h1 to D610 (quite close and sufficient to me) but at the same shutter time I'll have to increase more iso and get the the real noise difference then 🤔 so bad
Yes, that is right, although X-T3 has significantly better high ISO performance than the X-H1.
Why buy any of these two cameras over a A6500?
That is very complex question, I will make a video about that.
First, and foremost : lenses!
EVF of the GX9 was considered it's weakest point (compared to the GX8). Strange to see it here as a plus.
Yes, that is right, but we can't really expect much more in this category.
It's Panasonic's fault cause of the Name. It's more a Gx7 III or a Upgrade to the Gx80. The Top Foto Line up Model is now the G9 and the follow up Model of the gx8.
It may be the weakest point, but that is relative. What it means is that it is still better than the XT-30. I've tried both and agree that the GX9 is slightly better in my opinion. I also find the Fuji EVFs too contrasty in bright sunny days, especially the XT-2 which I hired for a week to test out last summer. I ended up buying an Olympus EM5 Mii instead because of the better EVF and the IBIS. Another plus that is not ever discussed is that the Olympus sensor ultrasonic cleaning system virtually eliminates the need to clean the sensor!
@@TL-xw6fh can't comment about those. But I have both the GX8 and X-T3 and both are fine. Fuji has 3 settings to adjust the EVF.
Great comparison !!
Thank you!
I wanna ditch my G7 so bad and I love the fujifilm look but there’s no ibis at an affordable price point for me. I guess I could save for the xt30 and work my way up from there but the G9 has that 80megapixel mode. I’m losing my mind!
I know it`s a year later, but did you think a bout the Fujifilm X- s10?
@@elinavance3476 I did think about switching but things came up and I never switched over. It is a great camera though, if in your budget you totally get it
I hear the Gx9 is now discontinued?
Who says so ?
No, it definitely isn't.
Jessops (Uk) customer services informed me by email. They reduced the gx9 kit deal by £300 last month and now kit stock has gone off their website. I asked when it was coming back in stock and they told me Panasonic are discontinuing it. I don’t have a clue but only going on what I’ve been told. I’m just annoyed I’ve missed the deal!
@@mattb2 which kit? The gx9+12-32 is there in-stock at Wex today and with the 12-60
@@mattb2 You've been had. The £300 is due to a Panasonic Spring Sales promotion!
great 👍..
Thank you!
pure photography, which one is better
There isn't a clear winner, depends on your preferences.
My money is on that Xt-30 : )
Me: *watching video to finally decide what camera to get*
Video: "Both are great cameras..."
Me: :°( *still hasn't bought a camera*
I actually don't recommend either of them in 2021. Take a look at Fujifilm X-E4, Sony A6400 and X-S10 instead.
@@TheHybridShooter Thanks for the info, I'll check them out :)
This review is well put together. I have the GX80 and the Fuji XT20 which is very close to the XT30 but with the advantage of being cheaper and having a touchscreen for many functions that the XT30 lacks. What I don't understand is why the GX9 has any significant advantage over the GX80/85 because the only real differences are that the GX9 has a slightly more megapixels and an adjustable viewfinder. But it weighs even more than the GX80 which is already quite hefty. So for me the much cheaper GX80 is the better camera. But overall I think the Fuji XT 20 and XT30 are miles ahead on image quality for stills, and are also capable of stunning video.
X-T30 isn't particularly close to X-T20. X-T30 uses a new X-Trans 4 / X-Processor 4 platform which is a huge upgrade over X-T20. Basically the same applies to GX80 and GX9 - new platform, new sensor, new processor, new AF, new colors etc...
Now that you’re no longer a mft shooter do you not like the gx9 anymore? 🤔
I like other options much more, especially newer Fuji cameras with similar size.
GX9 at ISO 1600 looks brighter than X-T30 at ISO 3200, 2:52
Yes, Fuji uses different ISO scale, I have talked about that in my previous videos about Fuji cameras.
That fuji lens 18-55 has ois rated to 4 stops btw u can test 1/8 sec no problem so again makes mft obsolete u cant compare fuji to mft fuji is miles ahead in everything.
Its a shame the battery life is still the limiting factor, the size/weight is a bit nullified when you have to carry a pocketful of spare batteries for a full days shooting, and then charge them all up again for the next day. I was tempted by both cameras but the shots per battery are too low for my liking, plus I'd need to spend over 10k on lenses to have the same range of lenses as I have now. In the end a few hundred grams weight saving just isn't worth it.
The xt30 also has built in raw editing which is handy for me as a event photographer.
Basically all DSLM camera have some version of that.
I prefer panasonic for using normal Bayer sensor design, so i can take much better post processing advantages on DXO Photolab. Also Deep Prime module is awesome denoise.
X-Trans is completely fine with every editing SW that I have ever tried. I have heard a lot of complaints about DxO compatibility with various cameras, they need to do better job in that regard.
You say something not totally correct, the GX9 also haves a quick menu, you just have to use the Disp. button
I never said that the GX9 doesn't have quick menu, just the opposite, I said that it is better than on X-T30.
@@TheHybridShooter sorry men, I misunderstood
