Drifting My Z06 Corvette At A Track In The Middle Of Nowhere

After a pretty gnarly crash at LS Fest last winter, this was the first driving the Z06 has seen since then. The alignment could definitely use some adjustment but overall the car performed great. This track is called Piedmont Dragway and is located in Julian North Carolina. This track offers 3 different layouts. One for beginners which is primarily a small skidpad. One for intermediate drivers that is basically a circle track. And the advance course which offers elevation changes and 6 different zones allowing for close tandems if you can mustard up the courage to push for good proximity on a demanding course. The culture was great. Everyone was welcoming and willing to drive together. I misunderstood where the shut down point was which I think could have been communicated differently but overall it was great vibes and I definitely plan to go back.

I live in SC and working on turning my 6.0 c5z into a dedicated drift car although it’s my daily driver rn lol. I’ve been to the Rockingham track a few times and it’s a blast. As far as the overheating issue idk what it is I’ve had the same problem more times than I’d like to admit. Flushing the cooling system usually fixes it so I guess somehow air pockets just get in the cooling system. Love watching you rip in your cars, hope to meet you someday and maybe even tandem. Also I saw your vette on display at Sema 2022 and it looked even more insane in person lol
