Beautiful review lad. Have you tried the noctua nh-d15?
Nah I've tried reaching out to Noctua but I have to pay them for a sample
@@WELSHYTECH I should get my AIO soon so I will send you mine to try with paid returns if you want mate
@@TrueSimVR yeah sure let me know
@@WELSHYTECH not sure yet, haven't ordered one lol. Going on amazon tonight
@@TrueSimVR anything I could help you with as for advice just ask ok bud
Thanks for always checking out stuff in the mid-range price category and giving them a thorough test on top-notch gear. Your hard work has helped us figure out which ones give the best bang for the buck.
You are most welcome and it's why I do this
Can you do a review/test on the iColer JM-V2 and JM-S1 case fans?
@@arielis78 All I can say is I'll try to reach out to them if not I'll buy them to review them
@@WELSHYTECH fair enough, thanks!
If nothing else, I am super impressed by the fans and am trying to track one down to look at it.. very nice review my man!!
Yeah As am I they have started improving there fana for a while
I've really been impressed with Thermalright's quality, price and performance. I have purchased a TL-B12 fan and the SI-100 Black cooler. Thanks for the great content!
you are most welcome and yes for the price you really can't go wrong
This cooler still isn't a bad price given it's still cheaper than the AK620 unless it's on sale and has great aesthetics and fans. The ID Cooling A620 is comparable as well. Just wish they had a white version. Can't wait for the newer coolers though as the Royal Knight and Preytor Ultra will be amazing.
Yeah I agree it kinda strange they don't have this in white, and me to looking forward to testing them
Been debating between this cooler and the Thermalright Frost Spirit 140 V3 since they are both approximately the same exact price. Would be pairing it with a 7950X. Any suggestions as to which would be quieter and perform better between the two?
Both are loud but as I have Both here phantom spirit evo is a little quieter but it's up to you either would do the job
Hi sir! Will a Kingston Fury Beast RGB DDR4 ram fit wiith this cooler?
It should but you would have to place the fan above your ram
is this cooler better than Coolermaster hyper 212 evo black?
Yes this will give you head room for when your ready to upgrade in the future
The graphs are very weirdly laid out
Why not key (different colour) each bar for idle and max instead of having idle and max written so many times, and put the name of the test on the Y axis instead?
Idles don't matter, but I put them in to stop people complaining that they aren't there, and as for the name on the Y axis I'll make the change for my next review video
Will it block my ram slots? im not sure how to tell if they will cause an issue
Yes I had to use low profile Ram
@@WELSHYTECH alright, looks like i might not be able to fit that with my ram then, thanks man!
@@tanevzzo404 Sorry man The Assassin Spirit 120 evo though will work
@@tanevzzo404 you can place the fan over the ram for it to clear
Do you have the RAM Clearance measurements?
25mm clearance, but order to use taller ram you would have to place the fan above the rams once its installed
@@WELSHYTECH Is this a joke? 25mm?
P.S fuck thermalright for not showing clearance on their fucking official page.
I didn't even realize there were lights on both sides of the fans. Not sure why because you can only see the front side of the front fan and a tiny bit of the 2nd fan which annoys me. Plus it sits on and blocks 90% of the RGB on one of my sticks of RAM. I tried moving the fan up one row of fins but the top being uneven gave me OCD. It was a huge PITA routing the cables for them on my board(X670E Tomahawk), I couldn't see how you had yours routed, but I'm pretty much ready to shut them off, maybe I'll just leave the front fan plugged in, it looks pretty stupid with more than half of my lights obscured by components or one component I should say. I thought about returning it for an AIO, but I didn't even want RGB, I had no choice on the RAM, so I went with it on the cooler, but that's an additional expense and a potential point of failure for something I really didn't care about. Glad to hear that it's fairly quiet, 2 of my fans are Noctua, so that leaves the other 3 as the offenders, this thing is pretty loud and I don't like shutting it down because the POST times on AM5 feel like I'm back in 1985
I'm on AM5 and don't experience long post times
@@WELSHYTECH have you set it not to train the memory if possible in the BIOS? I'm going to try that next time I'm still paying attention at the splash screen 3 minutes after restarting
@@BigFarm_ah365 Nope once memory training is done it should just boot up mine did
@@WELSHYTECH there's a setting on MSI mobo's that will cause it to train the memory every time it boots. Also, I went with 64GB(2x32)RAM. I've only been running it for about a week, a week filled with many restarts and they are slow. I keep missing going into the BIOS because once it does POST the splash screen flies by and I'm out I space from daydreaming or in the kitchen making a sandwich. It's a weird issue to be dealing with in this day and age. I'm going to time it, it feels very long. At first I thought I needed to turn it on manually, but it starts at least 90 seconds of silence later.
@@BigFarm_ah365 what memory Speeds are you running High capacity and high speed could be to much for the memory controller to handle
it is 120mm cooler or 140mm fan cooler?
120 bud
Is Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 SE ARGB better than EVO ?
They are very close to each other Id say its a tie
