Big up to the Turbo Clip and I feel one of the worst causes of Indy Car Engine Failures is Turbo because it would have a bad, bad habit of not adapting to different conditions, like it gets badly cold in Laguna Seca.
Good stuff..you should talk about starting line gear ratios..a lot of people still have the old idea of using a low gear with a power adder an still using a low gear for 1st to leave on and then wonder why they can never get off the line with out basically having to leave on motor..when in the small tire world its high trans first gear and a low rear gear so u can apply the power faster and use the tq to accelerate the car..the topic would probably open a lot of minds..I learned about this from monte smith back in like 07 on Yb..keep up the vids and tech stuff..def assume to see you break stuff down and pass knowledge on.thanks

I used to get a fwd turbo Honda to run high 11's back in the late 2000s on 20psi. everyone else with same setup was struggling for low 13s. 2 secrets....a super tall 1st (like 1.3 or so instead of 2.2, or sum like that I don't rem anymore), and no weight transfer (which believe it or not didn't catch on till late late 2000s).

I'm up in the North East, and have done snow removal for 14 yrs. about 3 in I got a weatherstation for racing. ended up using it all winter long too. I always knew more than my competitors, and learned when to keep trucks back or send em. Happy New Year KTR CREW!! CANT WAIT TO SEE WHAT 2019 BRINGS!!!

@camaroguy 66 yeah I have used some of those. Just be nice to have something you know is accurate weather for your location. Not the local weather station 60 miles from the track lol. Plus something that would graph and log the day to reference would be great.
Amazing video. I am looking to build a consistent bracket car for 1/8 mile racing at my local bracket track. Can you tell me what is the best way to go do I go full on high end bracket car or can I get by with a $5000 to $8000 bracket car?
Really depends on a few things. Delay box racing or bottom bulb racing? Any plans to go big money racing or stay local? Super class racing? Gas or methanol? A well built low dollar car can win rounds. A lot of rounds. Most important thing to recall is to have fun. Sinking a ton of money into a car can really offset the fun factor a lot.
Live to race, or race to live? How do you manage your time between the racing world and whatever else you may do? Are you lucky enough to race full time or do you have another passion that helps cover racing? Thanks!

Hi Stevie, I'm a big blower fan "weak pun". I see lots of guys taking smack about blower cars, and how much more power turbo cars make. Particularly MRE making over 5200hp. Question . do you think a screw blown engine would be able to make +5000hp on a combo similar to what MRE is using' ie 670cu (5.3bs) hemi ?
cameroguy, Im all for quieter & faster. Turbos are banned in topfuel as the cars are already too fast for the shorter tracks and insurers do not want them to go faster.
