Fucking incredible insight into a world class program
Wish we’d see more of him. I just moved down to Florida from Pa so I’ll be around for the RvW races. Stevies the man
Amen to that!!
Amen to that! 😁
There's so much to learn about all this stuff, it's incredible. Especially with all the different rules and everything else. He could talk about the fuel system for 2 hours, give you a test and still have no idea how they make the power they do 😊🤘
from a page that is built on cutting corners lol
Good ass video! Deff do more of these
👍
#SWANGANG
I've honestly understood about 50% of it and that's generous hahaha Cool stuff, so many things to figure out must take years of experience
Good stuff!! Great job of explaining Mechanical injection
Absolutely incredible!! Your a bad man brother!!
That is insightful, the more you understand how this all works the more interesting it becomes. Thank you
Right same with any sport the more you understand the better it is
Best part about MFI is the concept. I run a blown meth bike with MFI, half the cylinders, exact same concept. Love this vid!
Thank you!
Excellent explanation of fuel system!
10 months later and watched this again. Lean Out !!!!!
cool, educational video!!! That radio traffic was hilarious.
Man I didn’t realize how much of an art and complicated mechanical fuel injection is. Thing is when the old ww2 airplanes got “tuned right” there reliable as hell.
It’s complicated, but simple too. When it’s proper , it’s bullet proof
Excellent description. Great teacher!
Great piece for people to learn basics of how just one part of an blown alcohol / injected engine works.
the radio dialog was SO GREAT 😂🤣🤣
I forgot to mention that :-)
Once again, thanks for putting all the time into these videos for everyone!! You never know too much about the stuff, I don't think it's possible 😁
Great video thanks for sharing.
That man knows his stuff
That was great. Thanks. Years of experience required
That video of the explosion was a pretty good visual
Man no one can simplify these things like Stevie! Thanks brotha!
The most valuable thing you can offer a person is your time, thanks for yours.
That answered a bunch of questions I didn’t even know I had! Great info Stevie!
Its crazy how many ways these blower engines have to tune them its mindblowing
Great job showing and telling, keep showing telling see ya next time see ya bye.
Awesome video!
Awesome video
The effin' man Stevie Fast !!
A man could get schmart tuning in !!
Love the content !! Congratulations Champ !! Waiting on your next visit to Florida OSW AND BMP !!
Good job sir. Us guys and gals who are into things like this really got to see something special. We need, more thanks Stevie..
Thanks much Stevie, the more we EZ chair racers learn the more interesting it gets. I ran a 9:90 dial in SuperG/ProG car (depending on NHRA/IHRA or AHRA event) 'back in tha day' but when that world went electrical I hadda bail,, just too dumb and too poor to keep up so even though I know quite a bit about 'old school' mechanical fuel system and carb, learning these things you're covering makes watching what the guys do in prep for STANDING ON THA GO PEDAL really makes watching tons more fun.
Badass, so much info!
LOVE these vids!! Thanks!! And Good Luck this season!
Thanks for the education on this
Best in the business, honestly proud to say we competed against you guys!! 💪 turbo queers ttf
😂
Absolutely love these tech videos! Could literally watch them all day 😎🤘
'So yeah, go ahead and pull that pump and BDK (if applicable, lol).. don't worry I'll watch you while I slowly take out the number 2 spark plug that is already out And yeah.. I always end up holding the spark plug wrench like a police baton' - lol
-----
I really like the amount of time you put into explaining all these different parts of a race car, because all these drag racing organizations have so many different rules now and I don't think anyone can know too much about a fuel system (or a clutch, converter, computer controls, timers, etc, etc.. I really do not think it's possible, 😂😊🤘
You're the man, Stevie! Loving this awesome content!!!
Love this... please do more!!!
Always been entertaining. Easily the best, most informative video you’ve done yet
Badass video stevie.
Thank you !
Thanks Stevie I enjoyed the hell out of that!
Thank you for another episode
Good stuff. "When you fire that motor up you gotta quit tuning and start driving" I know that feeling. Much easier to just toss a tune in someone elses and worry about if it is going to work from the line lol.
🤣😊
I just started watching your videos Stevie . I’ve been around drag strips most of my life but I enjoy seeing the technical side of racing especially with the big power cars
Great video hope y'all have a great year!!!
I miss the 600 plus C.I. Big Block Dodges, with Hilborn fuel injection, on methanol, with a dial a jet to control that leak from the drivers seat, we used to run. Great job Mr. Jackson in explaining how simple injection is.💪💪💪💪
Most excellent!
Finally someone that will give some info on the fuel system.
Would it be possible to maybe show how to work out a start up tune if there is a formula as i have a way smaller engine. 6 cylinder that would probably fit in one of your cylinders lol.
Excellent video Steve! I remember when we just had an idle check, main jet, and high speed. Even tried a manual high speed for awhile.
Great video
Glad to see the nhra watches these videos, and put the clutch/ driver shifted transmission rule in for 2021. #Fastlane
🤘🤘🤘
So question for the teacher..What is the biggest reason for not going EFI on these engines? Is it strictly rules? Or fuel flow? Or something different? Thanks!
Donkey Gapp incoming for 2021!🤙🤙
Hey! Thank you for the information great to learn! You are the BEST!
Absolutely love your video's, It give everyone out there an insight to how things work and how much work goes into these cars. I would love to see you do a video on the fuel system of a Nitrous car, That would be awesome. If this Covid thing ever stops and we are allowed to come back to the states, I'd really love to see you guys at a meeting and even see what goes on away from the track. Keep up the Great work, All the best for 2021. Stay safe and take care from Australia
P.s Go the Blower cars
This was super helpful and great information to have! Thanks for making a great video with some great explanations!
I feel like I owe someone for this video. This stuff is too good to be free.
Awesome
Love it damn great Stevie fast is the best I love the commentary on the headsets
Bout time! I been waiting on this one
Donkey
Drop
Bermuda Triangle
Promise Land
Fuel is spongy
Timing is sharp
To think I never forgot this when Stevie explained it.
Killer video man! Thank you!
Thank you Bradley!
quit tunen and start driven. love it
great video!
Awesome! Love the videos. #SFJ #FastLane
Great video as always
I actually understand what you presented about fueling... thanks
Interesting that you correct fuel variations of over 10 percent with mechanical changes. Cool stuff man keep making videos.
yes!
Great video!
Awesome knowledge!
really well done, Thank You 🙏✌️
Great job !
faaaark yes
Great video Steve love the hell out of it let's get together this year and do some rocking and rolling if time allows LOL
I love this shit man! Big fan! You make it so easy to learn.
Good Stuff Champ !
Really cool bud. Really appreciate it. Love the info to learn more even tho I’ll never work on one
Why not? Believe me when I say that they really need good people out there in the fuel classes and so on. Well, they did before 2020... and they will again 😊😉
If you ever do want to, a lot of times it seriously is as simple as:
Go to a race, talk to the guys on a Friday Night or after a race on Sunday. Have a resume. The important thing is you're open-minded and don't mind being on the road all the time. If you approach them at the right time (or hell, even if you don't, MULTIPLE teams REALLY were needing decent people, lol) -- catch them at a time when they are not busy, they will notice that and they'll also notice that you put time into a resume and they might just throw you into it right then and there, call you after a few months, you never know.
First race car ever worked on was an a/fuel dragster (injected nitro in the top alcohol class) -- I just started talking to them and they asked me if I wanted to learn how to do the clutch, lol 🤤🤣
I have no idea how young or old you are (also doesn't necessarily matter) but I just wanted to throw that out to you or anyone else that ends up reading this.
I will say this,, you never think you are going to get a call from a big team...until you get a call from a big team and your brain takes a sh*t on itself, haha)
🤘 Take care!
Good video, I learned something. See you at Lights Out 12.
who said stevie was just a lumber jack in fuckin credible thank you way cool man
Thanks
awesome content!
Awesome! You guys have no idea how long I have been looking for something that can easily explain mechanical fuel injection to in a rather simple tone. Most of the time, it is a series of leaks going to and from the engine. Who would’ve thought it would be that simple? #FastLane
So what is your primary source of power management the timing or the fuel side of it
Make a video on front suspension rear suspension , screw vs roots ,shocks and car electronics.
I'm gonna need a copy of your "keep calm and EAD" poster. Thanks in advance.
LoL
Can u explain the joke? I don't get it.
Hey Stevie, you wanna handle this one? Asking for a friend....
Said same thing. Gotta get that for the shop.
Awesome info
Good job, thanks
I run an 8 stack N/A set up. My set up is super similar to the blown set up. Which I knew, but its cool seeing the fast guys do the same shit
That usually goes both ways. :-)
(Fast guys seeing the fuel system setup the same, hell, there are many reasons why you see figure teams in the Sportsman pits, besides talking and advice 😁)
More videos !!!!!!!!!
Thanks!!
very informative.
My mind was just blown lol
a lot of knowledge
Man, great description of how mechanical fuel injection works. Reminds me of when I got my first Enderle setup from Good Vibes out in California and how they described the operation to me. Also surprisingly, other than the fancy hi-speed setup, it's almost exactly the same.
The point I remember the most was: "It's all about controlling how much fuel _doesn't_ go into the motor."
Awesome 👌 🆒️
Would like you to talk about internal transmission operation and gear selections. #Fastlane
Great video, I've been looking at learning as much as possible about screw blowers and mech injection. 👍 any recommendations?
Thanks man. Find a team that needs a hand and volunteer
Class is in session kids pay attention!!!🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓
So damn cool seeing the under the hood and explained so well man! Lot of guys won't even show inner workings due to hush hush racecar stuff haha.
Stevie the man. Gotta love him. Can you imagine the fear of the others if Steve Built a No prep kings car. I know it's a different beast but that would be great for the show. Yes, I know Steve probably doesn't have time for that. Just a thought. Peace yall.
That would be a bad day for all the other npk racers. Stevie crushes the competition everywhere he goes probably wouldn't be any different there
Can you do a video or series on 4 link adjustment? Maybe one for slicks one for radials.
When to make a shock change and when to make a 4 link change, or anti roll bar change based on track conditions.
I understand anti squat, instant center, and center of gravity and how changing the spread moves those numbers.
Everyone always talks about the bottom bar but not the top bar. I know it sets pinion angle, adds preload, and can lengthen or shorten and even raise the instant center. Is there more to the top bar?
Tim Mcamis once said think of the shock as controlling the height and angle of the 4 link as the car goes down the track. #fastlane
👍
