Lordi and Dima Bilan was better than Mata Hari. Maybe if was 2008 it wins. I mean My number one and Molitva was better too.
I know 2004 was a very strange year but idk how they qualified, let alone get 9th place??? Lejla is one of my all time faves but so is Hard Rock Hallelujah and are both equally deserving winners 😭 And I 100% agree that they should've won in 93 and the juries did them dirty.
I hope they come back one day since they're probably my fave Balkan country in the contest

9:21 - They actually did sing in Croatian for Croatia five years later. Sadly they didn't do well. :(
During the goodbye thing you can see Milica on guitar who was the frontman of Vatreni Poljubac and the songwriter for Hanka Paldum in the 80s.
Do the other 3 in the Serbo-Croatian quartet -- Montenegro, Croatia, and Serbia -- in that order, or you can interchange Croatia and Montenegro. But make sure Serbia will be the last (save the best for last, they say).
But yeah, I noticed that most of the good entries got into the Top 10.
Lejla should have totally won back then. I still hate Finland for the weird band they sent to the ESC that year.
Btw. you should totally listen to Nino Prses! He was a 2000s icon in Bosnia back then. I love the songs "Hano", "Lamija", "Sad mi krivo", "Rum Pum" and he even recorded a song together with Halid Beslic and Tifa "Dalidalidadam". Whenever I listen to his song it brings back chidhood memories of the summers I spent in Bosnia as a kid in the 2000s :D
