Financial Issues have always haunted Bosnia from Returning, 2016 being one of thieir best & last Entry of that Decade
Lejla is one of the best eurovision song ever, that Bosnian culture in that beautiful song ❤️
I do miss those beautiful Balkan ballads what represent Bosnia & Herzegovina and Serbia & Montenegro🥺. Zelko Joksimovic is a genious in writing music and he was so many times close for win.
1993's song is so heartbreaking. The singer and the team had to risk their lives to get to rhe airport and the conductor wasn't able to come because it was to dangerous. The song is about the war, how they aren't afraid of death and war. The lyrics are great and heartbreaking
I don't know how they qualified in 2004 let alone get 9th place (i know it was block voting but still)
In 93 they were actually in the middle of a war that didn't end until 95 and the song was about that. Fazla did an interview with wiwiblogs a couple years ago about that whole thing that was very interesting.
Lejla is one of my all time favorite ESC songs and it makes my heart ache that it was the same year as Lordi (both songs I adore which sucks lmao)
But they won't be back in 2023 sadly. B&H (and most of the Balkans) have been in economic and political turmoil for a minute (which is a huge reason Bulgaria, N. Macedonia, and Montenegro aren't gonna be in it this year) and idt they have a solid broadcaster atm :/ tho I believe it's still popular there and they could potentially come back in a few years if things improve
what is block voting
@@cliodhnamalone7493 basically countries in close proximity voting for one another. For example, Sweden/Denmark/Iceland/Finland/Norway often exchange large amount of points to each other
@@sarahenchanted i still feel like this happens x
@@cliodhnamalone7493 I think it was more of an "issue" before they started combining jury and televotes
interesting how they explored every genre
Thank You for making another Eurovision love it 🤗
theres something comforting about listening to people singing in other languages
3:37 its name "saz"
Thank you
Love from Bosnia and Herzegovina 🇧🇦
Only a few more to do
, Please next can you do Austria in Eurovision?
agreed
love the duets
love the song GOODBYE
Lejia ❤️
Dino merlin 2011 ❤🤩😍👌🏻
2008 and 2009 were great
As a Croat who can understand the context of the region, Bosnia in Eurovision sounded very 80s at first even though they didn't participate as their own country in the 80s and from like 2004 onwards they sound very 2000s, they skipped the 90s in terms of sound, none of the songs sound 90s from a foreign perspective. From a local perspective, only maybe Hano (2001 song) sounds like the 90s.
The weird part is that Bosnian Turbofolk was musically always more up to date then the Zabavna stuffs.
2004 and 2016 are the same guy
you should check out some amazing bosnian artist : Dino Merlin, Lepa Brena, Maya Berovic, Selma Bajrami, Dara Bubamara, Seka Aleksic, Teodora, Buba Coreli, Jala Brat just to name a few.
I wanna be the troll that recommends the song Bosanska Artiljerija lmao
Some of those arent Bosnian. I would recommend Halid Muslimovic, Beslic, Mahir Burekovic etc.
Bosnia💙💙💙💙
and Herzegovina i think
reactions to ireland throughout the years?
Eurovision is on some bullshit with the ranking 😂😂😂
6:29 "that guy 9th" just tells you how stupid this competition is in a nutshell.
Bistra vodka haha
Vodka was from Malta in 2008)
There were no juries in the 2000s so that’s why seemingly awful songs could do well
Soon you will speak bosmian language lol.
