I first heard this track in my Dad's car driving along the coast at the very top of Scotland, swaying sunlit barley fields on one side, the glistening sea on the other, mountains in the distance. One of those magical moments that marks you forever. I can't listen to this now without a lump in my throat. Love to all you Fleetwood Mac addicts out there. 🏴
I missed this when I saw this tour in Pittsburgh - had to get home and rescue the babysitter. 20+ years later - better late than never. Thanks for posting.

Woooooooow..! Fleetwood Mac.
@@utbabee the headstock reads Fender VI. A 6 string bass guitar that's often used as a baritone guitar with a body similar to the jazzmaster. It has a 30 inch scale as opposed to 32 or 34 inches found on most bass guitars.
@@utbabee I had the benefit of both being at this particular show (with great seats) and watching it again on a large screen TV. It's really 6 of 1 half dozen of another but the neck is longer than the 24 inches of a standard scale guitar.
I was there. This show was to make up for the disastrous traffic situation at what was then called the Nissan Pavilion in Virginia. People were still trying to get into the venue at 9:30 at night because the road between the highway and the venue was one lane.
Makes you wonder what kind of harmonies magic Brian Wilson could have concocted if he a couple sweet-voiced females in his group...huh? I guess the group would have to have been called "The Beach People"!
Clinton Nicks.........Not exactly !! You must be kidding. Neither Brian Wilson nor any of the Boys heard of F. Mac in 1962-63. But Mick, Lindsey, et al certainly knew a great song worth remaking when they heard it. P.S. Give a big "hello" to Stevie for me; she could easily be a "Farmer's Daughter"--looks the part 100% !!! 2-27-18
Butchering? It's an excellent cover of a majestic tune. Fleetwood Mac is great, with all they have done and do. Did Jimi Hendrix get lambasted for covering Bob Dylan's "All Along The Watchtower", just because it was 'Bob's' tune? Get real 'fanmaxis3004'.
fanmaxis3004, are you not aware Brian Wilson allowed Lindsey to listen to the unreleased SMiLE tapes while working on Tusk? Clueless fans like you get into silly "MY band is better than YOUR band!" rants in YT comments. Meanwhile, among true artists, there is something called mutual respect and admiration. Clearly, Lindsey, Paul McCartney, and Brian Wilson had that mutual respect, and dug and were inspired by each other's work. What I am curious about is the 7th chord that Lindsey ends the song with, here, in very Beatle-esque style. I don't recall that from the 1980 version.
Holyshit the harmonies of Fleetwood Mac I will never forget
What a super finale !!! And they couldn't adunnit without Brian Wilson !!! 2-27-18
FANTASTIC!!! As always !!!
One of my favorite Beach Boys songs and a flipping great cover!

Never seen them singing this song before and I go back 40 plus years with the Mac. Thank you.
WalletandGrimace Finally saw them play this in Boston 1988 which was only time I knew but made sense after appearing on Tusk and the double Live Album
There’s a good version of it on the 1980 live album if you can find it.
It's a Beach Boys original and of course Christine McVie dated Beach Boys drummer Dennis Wilson.

And to Brian Wilson and the Beach Boys for the song!

What a beautiful Treat!!! Love the Beach Boys and love this song!!!
Christine adds the beauty, Stevie adds the zest.
Uh ... are you sure you got that right?
Play in ✌️🕊️ Christine! 1943-2022 +

LOL that mick kissed the mic @ the end! Nice footage - Thanx for the vid - great song i have never seen them do live :)
what pretty and delicious song.
Amazing...Totally Privileged ….Brian...ACE
Christine.is back.in the Fleetwood Mac PACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And look at Lindsey with that Fender 6 string bass!
That's not a bass - that's a Fender Jazzmaster guitar.

@@kaveman1021 Okay. Lindsey was asked about the guitar during an interview. He said a Jazzmaster guitar. 🤷🏼♀️

That's from The Beach Boys Surfin USA album if memory serves me. And that's a great cover of a really good song.
This is a beach boys song...,and they performed.it live...more than once!!!!!!!!
Lindsey!!!
Absolutely AMAZING!!
wow never saw this; I’m familiar with the audio version from Live in 1980; this is way cool
John moves to the front of the stage!
As long as chris was next to him, he was ok doing anything. Love their kiss before the bow and their hug at the end.
@@fuzzydog1100Me too!!
I never saw this live, either. Even though it came on their “Live” album.
Remek szám

The cat's riding the turntable again.
Beach Boys
it was written for Christine by Brian
Zach Vanella Good grief. It was written in 1963, 15 years before they even met. 🤦🏽♀️
@@cindyslavik5391 you`re right..I was mistaken ..Crossed songs here..My bad lol
Stevie sings too early in the first second :-)
If Stevie could stay remotely on pitch
The entire song was pitchy with all of them
@@thefriesband10Exactly.
Not close to the BBs .... Ain't right without Brian's Falsetto, Love & the gang😎
...but decent effort
If you think the Beach Boys could do better live you're insane. They were awful live. Listen to the live version on the FM Live album - it's superb.
Who are they buchering this Beach Boys classic?
the beach boys wrote this for Fleetwood Mac...

Never liked them when Buckingham and Nicks joined
Ummm, sorry but the Beach Boys are way better on this song
They sound really great on the FM Live album from 1980. The harmonies are amazing on that version. I agree this one is lacking...
Live? C'mon now. The Beach Boys singing ANYTHING live are atrocious.
