1980 was an exciting year for Fleetwood Mac as well as me. 20 yrs old and the future was bright for us all; partied without a care in the world or a future plan 😎😎🎉🎉

This song speaks to me in a language that cannot be put into words. I wore out 2 cassettes of FM Live listening to this, Sara Live and Fireflies back in 1980. Dreams do come true.

What an unexpected treat it was to find this sweet & lovely song at the end of Fleetwood Mac's Live album forty-some years ago. It quickly became one of my favorites. I had no idea at the time that it was an old Beach Boys song. I love the beach boys, but I gotta say, I prefer this version. The girls touch is so soft & alluring.

Amazing to think F-Mac started as a Blues Band in the 60's. I Iove all (or most) of their music. They really evolved, just by their creative Muse. I think after Tusk with Lindsey experimenting, they did actually anticipate New Wave music. As a band of their stature at the time, they would not be able to particepate since they were part of the Olde Guarde. But they knew it was happening, and they ... subsequently went different directions to make different records and still stay relevant. Sorry I never got to see them. Even Steve Jones Loves St. Nicks :)

Everyone on here saying they prefer the Beach Boys original version... Not me. I've never been a big fan of the Beach Boys. The surfer type music that they are known for, playing in the background, and the high pitched vocals. Well I couldn't finish listening to it...😒
This here, has a much richer sound. And I love the harmonies in Fleetwood Mac's version. Not to mention the beat. Sounds almost tribal...

@@subg8858 ~ When I listened to their version. It didn't have that hard hitting beat like FWM's version does. It was weak, with that same old Beach Boys surfer sound in the background, heard in all their music. Very different from Fleetwood Mac...

It is from "Live" from 1980. As I recall being told at the time, this was a soundcheck recording of the band just having some fun. The smattering of applause was the crew at the soundcheck being blown away by what they had just heard. They ultimately decided to put it on the album. Someone can correct me if my recollection is wrong.
