I got the Hauwei Mate 20 Pro I think it's a good phone personally. Not much really to dislike might jump back to Samsung next year. One thing I do know is I'll never have an iPhone again.

Why S10 is better?
1- 855 killed the 980 in video rendering.
2- audio is much louder and better on the S10.
3- pictures from ffc are way better on the S10 and from rear cameras only one sample was shown in which mate 20 had brighter pic, but S10 had more contrast and natural looking.
4- ultrasonic fps is much superior to optical, but in Huawei's defense the 3D face unlock makes it up.
5- S10 has the best display on the market. 1st HDR10+ display with highest colour accuracy. Huawei display is too curvy as well.
6- One UI is much cleaner and much better than EMUI. Samsung went from having one of the worst UI to one of the best UI.
7- Still have a *H E A D P H O N E J A C K* on the S10.

Huawei isn't dominating anything. Their products suck! It's all stolen tech, and they don't have near the quality of Samsung, LG or dare I say even CRapple.
my firsts Samsung phone is note 3, to be honest, at the beginning, it's really amazing, after I used it one year, it's became slowly, So I try to buy my first iPhone , iPhone 6, not matter the design and quality. there is no doubt it's best phone in the word I thought in the past time, however, its seemed more and more expensive, I can't afford it, so I bought my first HUAWEI phone, have been using it nearly one week. it's so good, especially it's camera and battery, Because of the using experience in Samsung Note3.I thought it's impossible that Android phone can compete against with iPhone, now HUAWEI mate 20 pro changes my mind

Great comparison. S10 is definitely a great phone, but to me, Mate 20X suits me better. The huge battery is insane, the big screen, etc. I just love everything of the Mate 20X.

Where are you? You could find it with 650€ on eBay. I found the green version at 670€ here in Greece.

I think both are equally good, the only problem is I hate the notch on top blocking notifications.
I have both and am still using them and overall, Mate 20 Pro is better!
Even though the S10+ has better speakers ,better ultra wide angle lense and video shooting quality, Mate 20 Pro has way more fast charging speed, better battery life, IR blaster which can control home appliances, good size for small hand people to grip, more zoom range with macro lense feature, cool UI(I prefer knuckle gestures and swipe gestures on Huawei) and more color accurate display with similar density as S10+.
Both phones are good but my complaint about the S10+ is the battery degrade and battery life is so horrible that I can't use it as a daily driver.But the audio is super amazing so I'm using it as a music and video player.
Physically, Mate 20 pro looks way better. But with UI, it would be S10+. For features, it's a win for S10+ but I love Mate 20 pro when it comes to the feel when it's on your palm

Great review mate, very professional! I'm currently split between the two phones and as much as I like the Huawei (very comfy in the hand and button placement is better) I think I might go with the Samsung. Also in my country at the moment it comes with free Samsung wireless buds.
Both phones are absolutely beasts ..... Beautiful beasts 😁. If I had the choice .... I don't really know which one to buy. Both are very similar but still have their own cons and pros. But anyway with each of them alot of people can be very very happy

But mate 20 pro have so much issues. Im owner of one and im little disappointed to be honest. Sound terrible, auto dimming, screen problems, emui is not bad. Its just awful. There r a lot great stuff, phone is just so fast. Battery life excelent, charging speed even better, but still im disapointed..

Well, in my opinion the Mate 20 pro has a few big disadvantages: Speaker is blocked when you charge, video performance and the audio quality in videos is (sorry, but true) trash, reverse wireless charging is much slower with (as far as I know) only 2,5 W compared to the S10's 9W. Apart from that I completely agree with you. I still think that Huawei has done its homework. 😁

Great video thanks. Doesn't charging the battery faster shorten its lifespan? I'm sure that there's a good balance between speed and longevity but I would have thought the rate at which the huawei charges would kill the battery quicker?
I have the mate 20 pro but IV been waiting for the S10. I don't pre order it as I wanted a little hands on before going so. I'm really glad I did. I had a little play around today at the EE store. They've got a couple on display for pre order.
Underwhelmed is an under statement! And I'm gutted. Nothing really about the S10 jumped out at me. Its literally like the s9 with smaller bezels. I thought I'd prefer the new type of cut out on the screen but I found it strangely annoying! It might be because IV gotten used to a notch . I'm sure you could forget about it pretty quickly though.
I had a play with.the UI, honestly nothing really different or inovative from previous phones. I know people will say it's a powerhouse and is faster at everything. I have no doubts it will be. But really! Flagship phones are so fast now the difference is negligible in real life.
I was really hoping for something more than what S10 plus actually offers. I mean tbh I prefer the look and feel of my mate 20 pro. It just feels better imo.
I will say though that the screen on the S10 plus is absolutely gorgeous! So bright and vivid. I'd have to say if your on a s8 or s9 or note equivalent I don't think there's a need to spend the extra cash. There's not a huge difference. Well imo.
What I will say though is the new Samsung watch active is stunning and finally a watch to go toe to toe with the Apple watch 4.
Don't get me wrong the S10 plus is beautiful. It's powerful.has a great screen and some neat camera tricks. I'd suggest you try before you buy. I'm glad I did. I'll be sticking with my mate 20 pro and wait to see what else comes from the likes of Huawei and OnePlus later this year. And there's always the note 10 which no doubt will be a beast with some new features on top of the S10 range

98% SAME FEELINGS. I am a big Samsung fan ( Note series more precise) but except the loudness of stereo speakers and larger wide angle camera ( 123 vs 107 ) , I found nothing to make me wanna sitch to S10+

@@atai2628 no they've sorted that now. If you get a new one it won't have the green issue. It wasn't a problem with the screen it was a glue issue were it was glued to the back of the screen property. Easy to fix

I appreciate it it's faster than the mate 20 pro but not a great deal. I just thought it's not worth paying out good money for something that's has no real difference from my own phone. Hopefully the note 10 will do the job. Don't get me wrong the S10 fantastic and the screen great. But so is the mate 20 pro and s9 and note 9 etc.

The performance s10+ wins all the ways, but mate20pro is a 2018 phone. S10+ has to compare with mate30pro.

The reason why i changed back to iphone.. When the s6 came out.. I ditched my iphone and got the new samsung.. It only took half a year for it to slow down and lagging.. I have to reformat everytime it starts to freez ..so I went back to iphone.. And now im using mate 20 pro.. Been using huawei since the p10 and the performance is as smooth as the day i got them.. I used to be a huge iphone fan boy but i just cant keep up with the chip getting more and more useless as new ios software updates came out.. The galaxy s6 gave me bad android experience.. And huawei really gives me what i want and need..
