Yeah I just do paperwork at an auto shop and I was really considering this as a good phone for work as having multiple screens open on my phone would be a godsend but I know the second I go into that shop and try to help them with anything or even try to clean the service writers area dirt oil and debris is gonna get in there and it’ll never come out

The hinge used to be a lot weaker. I know because I've upgraded three time with the fold. Taking out the finicky plastic guards that would actually wear down over time and cause issues with the hinge have been removed. Keeping it clean of dirt is actually a lot easier now.

Neither has the dust resistance. The folding gap is a huge difference from my zfold 5 . And the outer screen being that .1 inch bigger is a huge difference

@twisteri56 durability tests like this are often intended to simulate a far longer period than the test itself. Nobody is gonna do this to their phone deliberately, but over a few years of normal use if dirt/dust can get in the hinges, it will.

I work in masonry(lots of mortar, cutting dust from stone/brick, and pebbles) and i have been stuck in a warranty loop with the Z flip for 3 years because it keeps breaking before i can pay it off, either due to regular hinge usage destroying the screen(after about a year, the phone had stretched about a quarter inch from hinge wear) My first one broke cause a tiny bit of dust got in the hinge while the phone was in my pocket and it completely destroyed the screen from the inside, second one broke in 6 months from regular use while i was in school and not working, temperature changes can cause the screen to become more or less malleable, one time it was on a cool desk for a bit, i opened it and heard a bunch of cracking, the screen didnt break then but it didn't last much longer, this happened again from another table later on and currently on my third one which has green streaks all over the screen, a growing dead spot, and 3 days ago all service completely broke down and stopped working properly after an update Do not buy these phones, they are not worth the cost, youll get more out of a 400$ phone like the A54 or one of the flagship phones
