They cost slightly a little bit more than I was expecting, but I have to admit you did an excellent job at the presentation of them.
I don't understand why they don't make a case with the S pen and stand combined....it's so annoying to have to pick only one
Quick FYI. These new cases compared to the Fold 5 are 40 to 50% thinner. Hence, the S Pen bump sticking out a bit more compared to the Fold 5.
They did feel very slim and trimmed down. For the first time I wasn't really bothered by a case on the Fold. But I still think they drastically improved the S Pen holder based on my findings
@@ShaneSymonds For the first time? Well try some Aramid-Fiber cases, theyre only 0,07mm thick. Latercase or Thinborne for example. What thickness is the S-Pen Case?
@@ShaneSymonds Appreciate the review. It might be too late for this now, but maybe for the Fold 7 you could show a 3 second demo of swipe typing on the front screens. There was a major issue present in all past cases where the left side of the front case gets in the way of the thumb when swiping and it tends to break after about 3 months because it's just so thin/flimsy on that side.
The best would be a slim case with kickstand and sSpen slot

Great review! Word to the wise: whatever style you get, get it in the darkest color available. Light-colored Samsung cases get discolored by fabric dyes, hand grime, etc, and start looking like junk.
These are the darkest they've got this year.

The silicone strap on the 1st two cases are the best in market, that strap for your fingers keep your phone very secure.
and you can stick on a small kickstand on the clear case to make it like the silicone one lol

I have 2 things to say: I bought the cover with the finger holder and while I was taking my Fold6 out of the pocket, the back holder gripped to my tshirt and it fell on the floor, but luckily the cover protected it well.
Second: I'm now using the S pen cover and the only thing I don't like is that the thin cover on the left has no tape to stick to the screen and it keeps moving while I hold it

I went with the pink Spen case to match the pink fold.
Idk how I'm going to like it compared to the strap case as I'm used to having a grip on the back of my phones.😅

Just an update Shane, i got my silicone case for my fold 6 and you can wireless charge it but you just have to place it correctly in the middle, charges without problems.

10:35 Great to see Samsung waited an entire year to fix the issue by saving it for a new product line. I notified Samsung of the issue I was having and both replacements they sent also had the pen fall out immediately.
I'm happy for anyone who gets to use this case because it seems awesome and I wanted to love it. But Fold 5 users got left in the dust for this one, huge shame.
I have the Z Fold 4 with Samsung Silicone Grip Cover, and I LOVE IT so much on everyday use, it's cool to see it coming back for the Z Fold 6 ! Note : I use wireless charging with the strap with no problem.
Which color do you have for your fold 4 silicone case? The white one? I'm considering getting the silicone case for the 6 in white but i wonder if it will easily stain and discolor quickly
@@MarcoMarfia I have the white case, no stains, no discoloration, it stays perfectly white. I don’t clean it particularly, but I am careful with it. Note: I keep my phone with this case in my jeans pocket for 7 to 12 hours a day for the past 9 months, and the only signs of wear are tiny bits of silicone that have come off, just a few millimeters on 2 corners.

I have this white (with orange details) strap case for my fold 4 too but mine damaged very early. Top layers of the silicon in the corners cames off. I will agree that this case fits well in the hand but it is also extremely heavy making the phone like fold4 super heavy at all. Also mine doesnt work with wireless charger while strap is on.

the strap is better on these cases rather than the Fold 5 straps. they seem to be the ones that came with the S24 cases. the fact that you can adjust the strap and detach is great. thanks for the video. I wish they would add closed design around the USB slot though so you could add a Rinkge lanyard

I just got my s pen case, honestly I will probobly try to refund it, back case sticks well, but case on front screen easly falls of from left edges each time Im trying to grab or hold a bit stronger my phone , total waste of money, for 90 pounds you would expect more
Wireless charging is a priority for me and I want a stand. I would like Samsung's Slim Standing Cover that I have on my Fold 4 for the Fold 6.

Lol, great video. I'll be getting the s pen case. I couldn't help, but lol, when you were reviewing the kickstand case, the back cover wasn't snapped on all the way. I kept staring at the top left corner, waiting for you to notice, but you never did 😂
My issue is the lack of color variety at launch. There isnt a blue case without the pen. It only comes in gray for the majority of the other styles. The only blue case also comes with a pink s pen, which kills the aesthetic. Samsung should give you the choice of s pen color, case color and style at those prices. This time around, i went with the latercase, which seems to be the only decently known brand that comes in blue without being super bulky. I dont understand why the case colors for this launch were so poor. You'd think samsung would have been prepared for the most popular non-exclusive colors.

Feel like the s spen case is the only option one should go for, youre losing so much functionality by not getting it. Only problem is it doesnt have a kickstand , which for a phone like this, you do need one...i wonder if some 3rd party kickstand attachment is possible to be stuck onto that silicone ?
Real question for you. What do you use the S-pen for? I have had one on my last two phones and never used it. Seems more of a gimmick than a useful tool. I don't draw and I prefer typing over hand writing. Any other good uses for it?

Ai features are better with the pen even if you think you wouldn't use them ...they are fun to use.
Editing anything ...precision with the spen is something else...a finger can never compare .

Those are realistic things I use them for other than the obvious note taking and drawing features.
Besides ...even if we say this isn't a lot of functionality...why give up any of it when you're paying so much...
Got the Kindsuit myself. I always liked the leather cases when I had an iPhone.
I just hate that these cases are basically one time use. Once the front comes unstuck out you have to take it off, it never sticks again.
At 2:18 just use the wireless charging in loose mode
Even with the Fold 4, I must say, the phone maintains a sleek and slim appearance. It’s almost a crime to conceal it with a case that make it look bulky.
The lighter weight helps a lot, I used to not like cases at all but this time they're growing on me since they are slim and look nice
In my opinion, cases are essential for phones to prevent damage from accidental drops. I wanted to point out that a transparent case might be the best option. It not only provides protection but also maintains the phone’s thin profile and keeps its design visible.
I have a fold 4 and without a case it may as well be made of soap. It's too slippery and too expensive to be worth the risk.
Plus I expect the resell value to drop to almost nothing so I want the least amount of scratches as possible. I just don't want to take any chances.
Appearance doesn't really matter; protecting your phone does. Not to mention they are slippery on their own, but a case provides grip.
Samsung should've used to strap design from the fold 5 case where it stays tucked in when not in use so you can wireless charge
Hi. Really comprehensive review! Do you have any tips on removing the silicone case, like the back part with the grip/stand? Do i remove it folded or opened? I wanted to adjust the grip however it feels like the case is sticking to the device lol. Sorry new to fold
Nice cases but I like the individual camera cutouts from last year more. I wish they would've done that again. It's just a cleaner look overall.
I'm not sure if I will be using the getting the Z Fold 6 as it's a minor upgrade at best. I don't have any Z Fold phones, just the Pixel Fold and S22U. I'm still happy with both if I'm being honest. I was planning to get it but I was rather disappointed overall. I wanted the cameras to be improved more if anything. They need to get rid of that under display camera if they're not going to improve it year to year. This was a lazy upgrade from Samsung and I'm fan of them.
Re the S Pen case I believe it has to do with the texture of the S Pen, the Yellow S Pen is Slick while the Black S Pen is More Like a Rubberized feeling S24 or S23 Ultra S Pen!

I have been using the gadget case on my fold 5. Don't know if Samsung will offer it later on the Fold 6. I pre-order the fold 6 and really would like the same case for it since I'd added a magsafe ring around the gadget ring and it goes perfect with the LISEN MagSafe car mount
The s pen (for fold) does not need to be charged, it charges while in close proximity to the phone, is this correct info?

Is the first clear case hard plastic or "softer" TPU? Also: doesn't a lot of dust and even worse maybe a little sand get underneath the cases through the open side where the hinge is?
Should be the one with kick stand/hand strap combo in the cases for S24 Ultra.
I got the S Pen case for $70, and I figure I can justify that because it comes with the S Pen. But I really have a hard time understanding buying a case for much over $20 - my last phone before a fold, I bought one $8 case, it lasted about 3 years before I cracked the case and bought the same case again, and I never had a problem with the phone in there. Dropped it a dozen times over the 5 years I had that phone, sometimes onto concrete.
If I didn't care to use the S Pen, I would buy a case that was $20 max. What even is the difference between cheaper and more expensive cases?
As much as I want the S-Pen case, I think the Kindsuit is the way to go. Keeps it covered, looking clean and the brown color looks very nice.

@@boom5732 That's true. But I think I enjoy the Fold more for being a bigger display for my content viewing and rarely do I use the inner display for any productivity. So comfort is my main priority when it comes to cases. The main reason I would want the S-Pen is to avoid fingerprints. I still have my S-Pen case ready for pickup on release date, plus my Fold 5 has one as well. But the Kindsuit looks so good its made me rethink my need of the accesory.

I have the Kindsuit and Spen case both gray color preordered. Torn between the two. On one hand, I like how the kindsuit is looking and might feel. The other is having the Spen handy when I need it. Although I did not use the Spen that much with my Fold 3. What do you think?

the only gripe i have with the clear case is the grip is white. i wish they had one with a black grip, would look abit nicer and wear better over time

Were you using a standard 5mm thickness wireless charger? Do you think a wireless charger rated for 10mm would work? There are a few options on Amazon for these.
In the UK, all cases are -50% until 23/07. Im using the clear one, but it leaves so many fingerprints. I'm waiting for the silicone one to arrive.its chunkier but feels very comfortable

Wireless charging does work with the strap still attached. I have the clear case with strap and it works on all my wireless charging devices without needing to take the strap off.

The Flip 6 cases do not fit 100% over the Flip 5. Bottom half fits fine but top half is loose. And the new LED flipsuit only works on the Flip 6. Hope this helps

The Fold 5 SPen case was so thick and added too much bulk, so I stopped using it after 3 weeks. Been rockin my Fold 5 without a case ever since... only have a screen protector for the outer screen. Dropped it twice, but no cracks or issues. I trust the premium materials used for my $2k phone, and I trust Gorilla Glass. Probably going caseless for all of my future phones...
Just please tell me im not the only one thinking these are not well thought and kinda ugly compared to the z flip?! Like we should have many colors for the cases and an option to add whether we want the grip the kick stand or the pen and the color of the pen should match the damn case too right?!
I agree the S Pen color choices are odd. Flip cases might be more visually appealing but these Fold cases are more functionally appealing which is more important to me on a folding tablet with many use cases. I was surprised to see Samsung ditch their detachable case options after designing them for the past 2 years

Is the cases not having a hinge protector a big deal?
From a device integrity standpoint and average user perspective no it's not a big deal. It just sucks to ding your hinge from drops
Which if it helps at all, I've had 2 bad drops scratching my hinge on 1 Flip and 1 Fold after using every gen over the last 5 years. So it happens, but arguably not enough to commit to a bulky hinge case everyday
