Take that guitar out play it and your brother will be right there with you. I did the same with my stepfather's guitar. Guitars are made to be played. That also will honor your brother. Stay strong bro.
When I was all alone, and the dark was closing in, my guitar saved me. She pulled me out of that hole. She let me scream out my pain and all she did was listen and support me.
Man. I felt this deep in my plums. Literally had the same experience, and I could not have said that better. My guitar saved me too. It shows when someone hasn’t been saved by music and playing music. That was my only scapegoat I had, and man that was the only one I needed.

He doesn't have a voice box anymore, but he uses the guitar to sing. He signed his will and told me (with a pad and paper) which of his beautiful guitars i'm gonna inherit. I told him "I don't want it, I want you. Please stay with us". The radiotherapy broke him, almost took everything from him but he's still here surviving 3 years after the diagnosis and he's been given the all clear. As beautiful as the guitar is, I hope it never lands in my posession. He plays it better than I ever could.

He helped build a country Church and served that church and God for the rest of his life. He played the guitar and banjo. My husband gifted both of them to his son at 25 because he was a gifted electric guitar player. Every time we visit he has them just propped up anywhere in his house and he's 49 now. Heartbreaking!! That's why I admire your love of that guitar and the memory of your grandfather!!!
What's funny i played with Marcus as little kids growing up and his dad Marvin always played around in Greenville. I've played with his dad and uncles as they had a coffee house. I love the hell outta his dad Marvin. Such a good dude and a hella rocker.

Bought ElDorado after hearing “One Day she’s here “the first time & his voice alone would be enough but his talent experience education & dedication are reminiscent of those that we all have known from the first time listening to them , that They have IT. That something special that few possess & all aspire in a combination of attributes listed above . Marcus will no doubt be a formidable force in the blues scene for years to come & I hope that Marty’s contributions to music will one day be appreciated by all true music fans as well .

Oh good point... always take real good pictures of your valuable wood instruments. If ever stolen and recovered, the woodgrain in the pictures is as unique as a finger print and a good lab can match the pictures with the instrument. Learned that from Antique Road Show. Not sure if it would actually hold in court, but would be willing to bet it would with the right expert scientific testimony available.
