EU attack on farmers started 10 years ago, slowly turning up the heat. My sister in Transylvania always produced a little bit of extra vegetables and fruits in her private garden, and bring that super fresh and appetizing produce to the local market. Strange things started happening, prices were deeply undercut by produce shipped from 2000 km away in Spain and France, this was clearly not free market economy but subsidized products being shipped across half of Europe, selling produce that was picked 3 or 4 days ago, and being sold dirt cheap, in order to ruin local farmers who sold fresh produce picked in their garden a couple of hours ago. The government also got super involved, govt bureaucrats were visiting my sister twice a year and meticulously documenting how many tomato plants, how many cucumber plants, and so on, was she planting in her small private garden. Then, they taxed my sister 3 different ways on everything she produced; there was a yearly one time tax, there was the daily tax on produce each time, and they also raised the price charged by the local farmer's market to a shameless unrealistic degree. In one sentence, they ruined local small scale producers already 10 years ago. Also, selling your produce at home was made illegal. Now, they are peddling this outrageous bullsh.t that small private gardens produce too much carbon dioxide and private agricultural production must be banned. Their real agenda is clear: destroy civil society, make EVERYBODY rely on the government and let the rebellious, insubordinate people starve to death. Btw, I'm reading there's famine in government controlled Cuba. But famine is coming to the EU, if they get their way, because they are building a dictatorship where the masses are dispossessed of any ability to produce their own food and sustain themselves. Government wants to control us through artificially created scarcity of food.
