Oh, boy! You just don’t know them. Main problem is that our (the US) government played into Russian hands. They should avoided war in any cost. They could used different approaches; for example integrating Ukraine, Georgia and Armenia into economic, but not military alliances. Normalize relations with Syria and Iran. Rid of Turkey from NATO. This could completely isolate Russia economically.

@anata5127 pure fantasy, already tried with Georgia and failed, Turkey is more important to the west and Erdoğan knows it so he plays them like a fiddle, as for Syria and Iran they know exactly what the US and the west are their main enemy and has been for 70 years, with the US and UK overthrowing an elected PM and for 40+ years stealing there oil while the evil Shar his savas police torturing and murdering hundreds of thousands, forget changing either 😂😂

The collective west is an occupied territory by the private banking cartel (heavily zionist) and mega-corporations (mostly of a fascist kind). Look at the ongoing Genocide in the Palestine to understand who makes rules for the western governments. Supremacists are devoid of merci, honesty, and shame. Talmudic education is rather straightforward towards all "others."

The difference in access to culture is infinite because 96% of Americans have no access to culture, I arrived with 2 suitcases and $6000 in Jan 2000 and at the time, my basic cost of living in California was $23,000 a month 24 years ago, but live better here.

Since 2014 Russia has liberated 2000 km of coastline 134,000 sq Km of territory and expanding daily and what was area that made up 42% of Ukraines 2014 GDP. Also 63 percent of Ukrainian reported coal mines are under Russian control as of July 2022.
This trend continues across other key sectors: Russia controls 27 percent of Ukraine's iron ore deposits, 50 percent of its manganese ore deposits, 100 percent of its strontium supplies, and roughly 20 percent of precious metal deposits.
According to SecDev estimates, the total worth of all Ukrainian mineral wealth now under Russian control is around $12 trillion.

“liberated” 2000 km of coastline, etc. the rest of your comment demonstrates the real reason for Putin’s invasion of Ukraine! NOT “defending the motherland”, NOT “defeating Nazis”, NOT “protecting Russians living in Ukraine”. The real reason is simple - a territory grab to secure even more natural resources than Russia already has! How can anyone support Russia’s invasion of a sovereign neighbouring State when this is the real reason?

Russia and the United States have completely different prices and different economic structures. Our salaries in dollar terms are not comparable. I know that in the USA, with my salary of $1,500, I would be a beggar and would live under a bridge, my wife's salary is absolutely ridiculous - $270 in equivalent. However, in Russia we have a two-bedroom apartment, which was given to my mother by the state for free during the Soviet era. Of course there is a crossover. We built a summer cottage with a plot of 20 acres in the suburbs of St. Petersburg according to our own project. There are two vacations a year for two weeks, usually spent at sea in Egypt or Turkey, but recently we discovered Russian destinations that are amazing. In addition, we provided our two daughters with higher education at prestigious universities, and not on credit. I forgot to mention free medicine and education in Russia.

@@vladimirnikolskiyI live in city center St Petersburg and love the quality of life. My basic income is about $1400 a month self employed but before covid shut down cruise ships arriving every day in the summer my tour operator company did well for 19 years and never took took more than $3500 a month and just let the profits be reinvested into the next season because the true cost of living is so low compared to my native USA.My monthly cost of living in California as $23,000 a month and still lived at a lower quality of life than here in Russia when gave everything away in 2000 and moved to St Petersburg the same day in Jan 2000 that Putin was sworn in. I brought only 2 suitcases and $6000 with me. You can't compare lives by dollars, and almost any money American spend are on credit cards with 20% interest. Russians generally have higher net wealth because most own their homes, have no university debt, no medical debt and have savings. The large middle and working class now in the US has a negative net worth and gets deeper in debt daily.
There are some priceless advantages to living here. my GF could walk through any neighborhood in this city of 7mil(5.5 registered here and 1.5 million registered elsewhere),,,alone, at 3am. No US city is as safe and as friendly as any Russian city. One trait of Russians of all ages, they are very cultured and grow up with access to culture no other country can offer. The city has 600 beautiful parks and more museums than any other city in the world. Access to drama, ballet, opera, symphonies, great museums etc is available to every one and they frequently are involved in the arts. There 54 classical music halls, 16 ballet and opera, 237 drama theaters, 56 comedy theaters, 273 world topping museums and a total of all museums in the city and suburbs is 483. The balance between nature and culture is very good here, everyone knows how to grow food, they often spent the summers at the family dacha with grandmother learning about nature gardening and food. Food quality is definitely better in Russia, cheaper and no GMO, or additives that have exploded obesity and health problems in the west, bad food is all that is available to most people in the US. The US is falling apart and no other country thinks that is a bad thing. The anger, division, corruption and hostility where there are at least 1000 factions and each one hates all 999 others, even the 67 genders hate each other. Here, it seems that everyone gets along and there 2only two genders with flexibility between them in preferences. It is hard to walk down the street without meeting someone new who is interesting, friendly and well mannered. Men and women like each other, imagine that....

I enjoy listening to Mr. Orlov because he is even more cynical than I am. Quite an accomplishment. I think he underestimates the role of our special friends in MI6 though, who are given carte blanche to create havoc in Crimea and have destroyed 14 Russian ships. Not too bad for a country with a degraded Navy. Europe traded sovereignty for security paid for mostly by the U.S. Not a great idea long term, Europe. Many give the U.S. too much credit. Americans are not imperialist by nature. Europeans are. We are seeing just how bad the U.S. is at imperialism in all these losing wars, and the U.S. is degraded and run down. Stick with China, Russia. Forget the west.

The way most people look at it is like this, we know exactly what we will get with more Biden. There’s a chance things will be better under Trump. So they will take a chance with Trump.
Biden is also very Cold War politically. Trump wants to have a good relationship with Russia. We should have a good relationship with Russia. They are not the Soviet Union.

Now he supports NATO "100%". Is any of this likely to create "a good relationship with Russia"? Of course not. Trump is a tool of the Neocons and the permanent state, just like Biden, just like Nikki Halley and Genocide Jr. I wish it was different, I really and truly do, but, sadly, it isn't.

In 2019, the RAND Corporation, which is a major component of the U.S. military-industrial complex, published a report titled Extending Russia: Competing from Advantageous Ground, which offers a sort of updated game plan on how to destabilize and weaken Russia- "1. Provide lethal aid to Ukraine 2. Increase support to Syrian rebels 3. Promote regime change in Belarus 4. Exploit tensions in the South Caucasus [in particular Armenia and Azerbaijan] 5. Reduce Russian influence in Central Asia 6. Challenge Russian presence in Moldova As we know, all of these measures have been implemented to one degree or another. On the fifth point, the most important country in Central Asia is Kazakhstan, where an attempted coup, supported by the “usual suspects” from the West, was just thwarted (cf. below)"

Compared to the chaos of the collapse of the USSR, of course Putin seems like an improvement, but life improved for Russians because Russia opened up to the rest of the world, particularly Western countries, in terms of trade and outlook. Putin’s KGB/FSB background always left him with a chip on his shoulder about the disintegration of the Soviet Union and he has always held an ambition to restore it in some form.
