This is another unboxing of some of the Alvarez guitars we ordered at the 2018 Winter NAMM Show! Hope you enjoy and please consider Subscribing and liking the video, Thanks and God Bless!
I tried two Alvarez gtrs in the shop, took this one home. A real killer looks-wise AND sound-wise!! Can't stop playing it, just a pleasure. Really recommend it to anyone who want their high notes to have punch to them but meanwhile the bass-notes (thicker strings) sound warm and full.
When I saw that Alvarez started producing an 8 string guitar, I knew that I had to have one. I used to play 12 string but the necks became too much for my hand strength to handle. This new 8 string is almost the same guitar as you are showing here but with octave D and G strings and with Sitka Spruce tops. Alvarez has really stepped it up with their new guitars, not saying anything negative about their older ones.
About to order this soon. I'm hoping the nut is 48mm as my current guitar is great but 43mm and too narrow for me so I only play it capo'd at 5th fret which is 48mm
Hey Scot here, very nice guitar. I have a Alverez Yairi Dy70ceshb. It is wonderful! Have you seen any of the Yairi pieces? If so what do you think about them?
Hello Carl sorry I didn't put that in the video. Anyway the pickup system is an LR Baggs StagePro EQ and Element Pick Up. The guitar Retails at 669.99 and MAPS(Street Price) 459.99.
They are still very nice even though they are made elsewhere. Good quality control from what I've seen. They use to make them in Japan. They were outstanding then.
I had an Alvarez many years ago. Very nice guitars.

Alvarez is putting out some fine products. Love the 1.75" nut width also.

I'm not impresse3es with the loose wire that flops around or is visible thru the sound hole. The guitar sounds great though.
Where is it made?
solid spruce top / laminate mahogany back/sides
How much?
The 1.75" nut width is a "great" feel...
What is the preamp and msrp?

T-Roy's Music thanks! Guitar look's gorgeous
I have this guitar and an Alvarez 5063 from the early 70’s. The 5063 still sounds great.
Really pretty. Made in the US?
No it’s foreign made, thanks for the question!
