I have been listening to these talks for several days now, and I really love them. This is just a kind of stuff that is interesting and useful. I own an Alverez baritone, and a Yairi nine string that was bought used, and restored.. The baritone is totally amazing for the money, and the nine string is a unique and powerful instrument. You guys have given me a new respect for the Alverez brand. You are not just selling guitars, you actually understand and appreciate them, as well as play them. Thanks.
We love hearing that, Steve, thank you so much for your thoughtful comments and for watching Alvarez TV 👍
Grand auditorium. Body style is perfect for me especially in the cutaway.
I have an AG75CE from 2014 which I absolutely love. If I’m out doing a live set the AG is used for 90% of it. An AD60 or AP70 are used only for alt tunings. The AG body naturally drops the mids which is the sound I always like for what I play.👍
That's very cool, Joe, and a great lineup for live sets.
I own 3 Alvarez guitars and love them. One is my dads that he’s owned since 1993 it’s a fusion pro series 1590 from 1988 I had to have the neck repaired because it was broke in half but it was so worth it. The guitar has a sound of its own and plays like dream with the thin neck and 24 fret fret board the thing is a dream to play. I have a review on my page if you guys are interested in checking out the ol gal. Thanks for everything you do.
That's a great history! Looking forward to checking out your review.
I have 3 Grand Auditoriums acoustic electrics, all with solid cedar tops, two with cutaway, (one with solid Rosewood back and sides, one with layered Rosewood back and sides, one with layered Mahogany back and sides) one non- cutaway.
I feel they are the most versatile body size (I'm a singer-songwriter who plays both fingerstyle and with a flat pick). They give you enough of the depth of sound as a dreadnought while being more comfortable to play and they amplify well for live performance.
I have a dreadnought and OM, which I enjoy as well, but the GAs are definitely the body shape I would choose if I could only have one guitar.
Do u find a huge difference between the solid vs laminate backs?
Okay guys - your great videos finally pushed me over the edge - especially Chris' recent ones with Mitch Gallagher of Sweetwater. So I just ordered me a new Alvarez Artist Elite Grand Auditorium model from Sweetwater. She's got a beautiful shadow-burst finish, solid Sitka top and ebony back and sides. It'll be a great way to celebrate Thanksgiving this year!
I have a 2009 Taylor Limited Edition 414ce in Tasmanian Blackwood with a Sitka top. This is the Grand Auditorium body type. I played many guitars from many different brands, but when I played this one it had warm tone with clear top end sparkle. I stood out from the crowd and it has only gotten better over time. It has plenty of volume for strumming, but it also has a sweet sound when played softly fingerstyle. Great guitar! Glad to see Alvarez is offering this body style....it is a little more comfortable to play than a dreadnaught.
Good interesting discussion . Wish we could hear more of the sound ..would be nice ..
There's DMT in the Acacia one. Gateway to another dimension.
Love my ag60 shadow burst. It looks rich, it plays rich, and it sounds rich. Nice comfortable quick neck and killer intonation!👏👏👏👍👍
Glad you're enjoying your Alvarez. 👍
I just bought it today then I saw this video. Love its sound.
Very happy to hear that...enjoy your new Alvarez!
Wait what? When did they play them?
an abs flight case that fits the MGA77CEARSHB grand auditorium well?
I have an AGM660CEAR. Can you recommend a hard-shell case for it?
Hi Pete, your AGM660 should fit in most standard Dreadnought cases. Our models are DC-1 for hardshell and AFC30A for FlexiCase.
They didn't play the guitars?? A strum or 2. What the shit
I agree
Personally my favorite shape
I like the 000 and Grand Auditorium the best. I do not get along well with a dreadnought because it is uncomfortable.
This channel is a great find for me. I owned Alvarez guitars years ago and am actively and urgently looking for a retailer in the San Antonio, TX area that would offer a good representation of more than just a few of the lower end Regent or Artist models. I want to put my hands on and play guitars from the Artist Elite, Master's, and Yairi series The Alvarez website doesn't help much. Any suggestions?
Hey @Tone Seeker, have you checked out our Dealer Locator? alvarezguitars.com/dealer-locator
@@AlvarezGuitarsOfficial Thank you for replying! Yes, I have! And, not intending to be snarky or rude, but the dealer locater tool for my zipcode/area doesn't help much....unless ith dealer concentrates on High School band instruments and offering low end Alvarez guitars.
Wish you had versions without cutaway and electronics.
Guy on the right sounds exactly like Paul Rodgers from Bad Company.
I think the dude in the middle was high during this recording!!!
The only thing I have against an Alvarez is the lack of fingerboard dots. My 1979 Yairi has dots and they are important to me and students. Looking cool is less important than practicality.
Hi WJ, thanks very much for your thoughts on this. For beginners this is definitely our consideration in adding dots to the fingerboard on our Regent Series. As we progress as players and rely less on leaning the guitar toward us, the side dots in the neck binding seem to do the job. We do love the clean look of a dotless fretboard.
A lack of front dots can help with learning when passed the early stages as it encourages holding the guitar straight up. Looks better as a nice bonus.

If you worry about the sound, it would be better than worrying about the finish even though it matters a little bit I have the maple and it sounds terrible. The sound is so bad when you put your finger on the French it’s just horrible. I am so disappointed.
Sorry and genuinely shocked to read this message, could you please email info@alvarezguitars , with the model and serial number, and where you purchased the guitar. And we will be in touch ASAP.
And the pick up system is horrible week I’ve tried 7 acoustic amplifiers. And I can’t believe how terrible it sounds. I will post this on every post. I can fine.

I agree with a previous post. Didn’t play the guitars and all three of them couldn’t put together cohesive thought if their lives depended on it. Joe Biden and Harris word salad for sure.
We couldn't agree more.
Sincerely,
Tim, Dee, and Chris (…and thanks for watching.)
